Fresh juice from the kiddie snack pack.
    Lauren D.

We were so happy to find this great healthy lunch option on our way up 95. I had the kale salad, my husband had the pesto pasta and my daughter had the kiddie snack pack with chickpea fritters and corn on the cob. All were amazing. My daughter liked the green sauce that came with her fritters so much that she drank it. The snack pack came with fresh juice and a deck of cards. That's what I call a happy meal!

The sample platter (minus the spring roll that I already ate) and the mac and cheese.

Despite only one person working, the place was incredibly clean, the food was made fast, and the employee was so kind and helpful! Everything was so tasty and the taste and texture of the drumsticks were spot on. And, every vegan knows the struggle to find good mac and cheese but this one did not disappoint! It was so creamy. Eliza's deserves way more love!

We did a road trip from Florida to Virginia Beach and on the way home my husband insisted on stopping at Elizas to order food . Now, my son is fully vegan, the rest of the family is not. The food that we did get was good. I honestly dont remember what my son ordered but hubby got the "chikun" drumsticks. It was ok. The flavor was mostly on the sauce making the inside "meat" kinda bland in my opinion but the vegan loved it and we would totally take a detour to stop ahain for him. Located next to the gas station convenience store.

My partner Kiki and I stopped in while traveling, and we're so glad we did. We managed to sneak in an order right before closing, and not only was the food absolutely incredible, but getting to chat with the owner was such a highlight of our trip. She's genuinely one of the kindest people we've met. Her passion for what she does is infectious, and it really shows in every bite. We're both vegan, and it's always such a joy to find a 100% vegan spot that's run by someone who truly cares. The food was phenomenal. We got the Spicy Colossal Chicken Sandwich (no joke, that thing is huge and insanely good), the Classic Chicken Sandwich with fries, the Danny's Cheesesteak, and the Mac and Cheese, which was out of this world. I love a good mock chicken sandwich and cheesesteak and these both delivered! We're already talking about coming back next time we're in town. Thank you for such a wonderful meal and even better conversation. -- Cody & Kiki

Put stopped to get gasoline and got a sandwich here. Mushroom Melt! Super big and enough for two. Ask them to cut it in half whether you share or not. Bread super soft & yummy. The veggies all cooked right for each. The "cheese" was AWESOME! Would stop again!

We were on a road trip and decided to find a new vegan spot. After searching the area we settled in this one. Being on the road trip honestly we could've gone to m others. However, we chose Eliza's because of the rave reviews, the portion sizes in the photos, and the home southern style cooking. I am so happy that we did so. Deciding to dine in we took a break from the road and of course, if you know me, we ordered almost one of everything. Everything was fantastic. This is definitely a local hotspot as I witnessed myself the many people coming and going. We were the only guests that actually sat in and ate, but they had food service coming continuously to pick up food orders and they had the local community coming in and out, picking up their orders as well. I love this place because not only did they have Southern style vegan options but they had a lot of soy free options which is what I have been into. This restaurant is attached to a gas station and there is not a restroom in the restaurant. If you have to use the restroom the gas station seems to not have a problem with it. Speaking on that I'll continue to say that the surrounding area is not a traditional restaurant plaza or even a huge hotspot. It is actually a gas station stop so one would could pass by if not paying attention. It's not super sketchy, but it is not what you would expect. It's a little offputting, but we didn't come there for the surrounding area. We went for the food. Sat down got our food, gassed up and left. I actually wondered how this place could still be open when we pulled into the parking lot give that almost missed it and had to double back. Definitely has to do with the food quality and noticeable customer employee relationship / interaction. They were efficient, remembered all of their usual guests by face or name and pumped the orders out. We ordered wings and fries, okra, two sample platters, string beans, corn, fritters, mac & cheese, and the Philly cheesesteak. The Philly cheese steak was one of our absolute favorites! If I'm passing through, I definitely stop again! This place was a hit and I can see why they are still open and thriving.

You ever see just the sign and just KNOW it's going to be good?

Can Heaven actually be on earth? I didn't think that was possible until I ate at Eliza's Vegan Cafe. Traveling home from Georgia, we stumbled upon this place. I don't get hopeful to find vegan food on road trips because most of the time, it simply does not exist. But after a Yelp search, we found this spot. And baby...I wanted to CRY the food was so mouth watering! I am not going to explain ONE THING I ate. I want you to experience it for yourself (OK, I will say the Colossal Chik'n sandwich is divine and whatever you do, get the vegan cheesecake--oh my, my, my). Be sure to come back to THIS POST and like it--because you WILL BE BACK!

Classic chicken sandwich with a side French fries
    Michele R.

We were traveling on the national boycott day and got lucky to find this local, woman owned small business (and vegan too) and were delighted to spend our money here instead of a big box chain. It was Excellent! Very friendly staff despite them being bombed with orders! Let me preface by saying that if you are looking for whole food plant based or healthy vegan food. You will find some options but the highlight here is the vegan chicken! Splurge on something fried for a treat! We decided to do that and we were not disappointed. The spicy chicken is made with what appears to be a house made chicken patty, which is no thin patty! It is thick, coated in a flavorful breading and served on a large bread roll with lettuce pickles and a spicy sauce. Unfortunately they had run out of chick pea fritters so I had to adjust my choice to another sandwich and chose the classic chicken sandwich. The chicken on this sandwich is a typical vegan chicken patty (round with classic breading) and served with lettuce, onion, pickles and mayo. It was delicious. Next time we find ourselves in Florence we will return! I look forward to trying the kale slaw.

Chicken sandwich, coleslaw, mac n cheese
    Emma D.

The most delicious food ever!! It was so hard to decide what to get. The chicken sandwich was amazing. I tasted my son's kids meal cheeseburger and that was also so good! It was so good it had to be house-made (not frozen). The sides were got were coleslaw, mac n cheese, fries, and sweet potato fries. The mac n cheese was so good. I wish I'd gotten an extra one to go! The inside of the cafe is booths. It was very clean. I wish they had fountain drinks or cups of water. Most vegans aren't thrilled about all the single use plastic including the ethics of bottled water. There is no bathroom inside the restaurant, you have to go next door to the gas station. Otherwise it was a wonderful stop on our journey and I will make a stop here every time I drive down through Florence. Skip the nasty fast food and hit up Eliza's next time you're in Florence!

Not sure how long this restaurant has been open but just discovered it, next door to Shell station off W Lucas St. We arrived 30 minutes before close but they still had most items except Pattie. I heard the fryer fire up and was worried but those were put to rest w first bite. The sauces paired so well w sampler especially the red one, spicy/sweet. There were a lot of great vegan options I want to try in the near future. This healthy option is probably my new favorite in Flo.

    Mediterranean burger

I stopped in to get lunch and I ordered the Mediterranean burger. It was beyond my expectations. It was so delicious and it was the best veggie burger I have ever had. The owner Markesha was super nice and even gave me some Mac and cheese to try. That was so good too! I definitely will stop in again when I'm traveling.

The staff were friendly and welcoming from the moment I walked in, and they were genuinely helpful with recommendations--particularly when I was deciding between drink options. I ended up with an egg and cheese sandwich on a Kaiser roll that came out steaming hot: the roll was light and fluffy, and the whole sandwich was simple but really well done. I also had a shot of espresso that arrived in a very nice presentation on a wooden board, paired with a side of sparkling water, which was a thoughtful touch and made the experience feel a bit special. On their recommendation I tried the honey lavender latte made with local spicy honey; it was unique, flavorful, and not something you see everywhere. Overall, Bean Bar feels like a low-key, well-put-together café with good parking, a relaxed vibe, kind staff, and drinks and food that show real care.

A Florence standout worth returning to!…read more As a San Francisco Bay Area foodie, I'm always searching for restaurants that care about sourcing, seasonality and the entire dining experience. Town Hall checked those boxes for me a couple of years ago, so when work brought me back to Florence, I knew exactly where I wanted to eat. I looked at other options first, but nothing appealed to me at quite the same level. Town Hall's farm-driven, Southern-inspired menu, shareable plates and beautiful setting won me over again. And I'm happy to report: the second visit was every bit as memorable as the first. We started with the house-made cornbread and honey butter at our server's recommendation. Be warned: this stuff is dangerous. Hot, sweet and almost cake-like, with that honey butter melting into it. We promptly ordered another basket. Cocktails were equally impressive. I ordered a Sidecar, and when our server asked my cognac preference, my colleague volunteered Hennessy. Hennessy it was--and it made one spectacular Sidecar. For dinner, our server described a scallop special served over a shrimp étouffée-style preparation with microgreens. Sold. I paired that with the wedge salad because, well, I needed some roughage. The wedge came beautifully dressed with blue cheese, tomatoes, pickled red onion and bacon. The scallops were beautifully seared and tender, and the rich sauce underneath made the dish. My dining companions joined the fun with the house-made sausage, another order of the scallops, and a ribeye with French fries swapped in for the creamed corn--a little steak frites moment. Everything landed beautifully. What impressed me almost as much as the food was the service choreography. Our server was knowledgeable, personable and attentive without hovering. There was thoughtful table touching throughout the evening. Our dishes arrived together, and no plates disappeared while someone else was still eating. Those details may seem small, but polished hospitality lives in those details. We were far too full for dessert, so we called it a night--happy, well-fed and already talking about how good everything had been. Town Hall is the kind of restaurant I hope to find when traveling for work: locally driven, interesting food, strong cocktails, beautiful surroundings and service that understands hospitality. Two visits several years apart, and both delivered. If you're in Florence--or passing through South Carolina on your way toward the coast--Town Hall is worth making part of the trip. Life is too short not to eat well, sleep well, travel well and shop well. Get out there and find your next destination.

These days, it's not always easy to come across service like that, which made it even more appreciated. I ordered the Sunset Blush drink and it was delicious. We also got the cornbread and I'm not exaggerating when I say it was the BEST cornbread I've ever had. So soft and flavorful. After driving 15 hours on March 21, 2026, my husband and I were genuinely excited to try this place and planned to take our food back to the hotel. Unfortunately, the experience started off poorly and never really recovered. First, parking is extremely limited out front, which is frustrating when you're tired and just want a quick pickup. Inside, things only got worse. The front-of-house staff was shockingly unprofessional. The employee helping us clearly didn't understand her job and had to be corrected multiple times by another staff member--something no customer should have to witness. It created confusion, delays, and zero confidence in our order. We paid about $50 for a sampler, which is not cheap, and yet the same employee argued about giving us the sides because she entered the order incorrectly. If another, more competent employee hadn't stepped in, I'm convinced it would have escalated further. Even then, we never received one of the four sides we paid for. To make matters worse, we were never asked if we wanted drinks to go, and we weren't given plates, silverware, or even BBQ sauce--basic essentials for a takeout order. That's just unacceptable. While waiting, we also watched this same employee tell three separate dine-in families to go sit and wait while she stood there rolling silverware. Completely rude and dismissive. If I had been one of those customers, I would have walked out. This is the first impression customers get, and it's a terrible reflection of how the place is run. Between the disorganization, poor communication, and outright unfriendly behavior, the service was a mess. The only reason this isn't a one-star review is because the food itself was actually very good. The burnt ends and ribs were the standout--absolutely delicious. But great BBQ can't fully make up for such a frustrating and poorly managed customer experience.
