Zero stars. Unable to pump gas as pumps occupied by people shopping inside. They don't sell beach permits Total zoo. 1 star for the cheap coffee and 1 star for the amazing Philly burrito. Zero stars for gas or bathroom. Also a douchebag in a 4Runner blocked me in parking in a handicapped ramp (not even a parking spot) making it nearly impossible to get in the car or get out of the parking. A Texas staple. This Buc-ee's isn't your mega Buc-ee's, But it still for fills the purpose of Buc-ee's. Lots of snacks, cheap fountain drinks drinks (I love their ice), candy, chips. Beef jerky, fruit, salads, cheese and meat packets, sandwiches, clothing, bathing suits, some beach and fishing gear. Lots of treats and trinkets for the kids. Cheaper gas than surrounding stations. I came here during Covid and they are selling masks and sanitizer. Everyone going inside is required to wear a mask as well as employees. I can't say I used the restroom in this Buc-ees but the company does take pride in their clean restrooms. Your one stop shop much of what you need! read more

Everyone loves buc-EE's but I'm astonished at what I saw this morning. Staff has masks, masks signs are posted on the door but there are so many customers not wearing them. The mask mandate is not being enforced! There's nothing to be proud of about that. The parking lot is full of people their boats their families, surfboards and etc this is the location nearest the beach so it's often folks last stop before enjoying Surfside and the coast line. Obviously everyone is ready to enjoy their Sunday on the water, that's fine if they aren't wearing them outside but when they hit that entrance they need to cover their face! Love, love, love Buc-ee's. :) I always smile after seeing that little bucktooth beaver. Buc-ee's in my opinion beats out all convenience stores for roadside snacks, drinks, homemade banana pudding, salads, cheese assortments, sandwiches, and even hot counter food. I wanted something different, so chose the following three items: crawfish pie, spicy jalapeño boudin, and Dr. Pepper cotton candy. -Crawfish pie was in an empanada pastry. Tasty, but wouldn't rave about it. -Spicy jalapeño boudin: VERY GOOD. Pairing this with Club or Ritz crackers would per-fect it. -Dr. Pepper cotton candy: If you are a Dr. Pepper fan, you should try this. You'll feel like a kid again. I am fan!!!!! Love this place. Every time I drive by one I have to stop. Its like a Wal Mart but with cooler items you can waste money on. Good points for this location is that its always clean and everybody is always friendly. Coffee, Beer and Wine and all the the sugar items you can handle. Really neat stop to get shirts for family that has never been to a Buc's! Funny thing is for me that I have been here so many times and never once bought gas. It is just for the snacks and drinks. Buc-ee's does not have clean restrooms. This is false advertising. One time I went into the one in Freeport after a 3 hour surfing session before my 1 hour drive home. I was cold and tired and had to piss real bad. There was a shift change across the moat at Dow Chemical and both urinals were in use. I went into the stall only to find 3 different types of turds all over. I'm no forensic scientist but, I do know that a human being cannot excrete 3 different types of turds in one sitting. Sometimes 2 different types can come out of your bum if there is some lack of fiber and one section is in the colon too long holding up the fresher section. There was a big, broken up log in the toilet bowl broken in 3 sections like a sunken ship. That turd was sticking out of the brown diarhea water in the bowl. On the seat, rim, tank, and floor was mushy-looking turds. Solid but, not by much. The turd on the floor was mashed into the tile by half-empty Corona bottle. I was thinking probably 3 different guys made this mess. And then I pictured in my mind some drunk guy setting his beer down and then picking it up to take a swig only to have a turd fall on his penis. It smelled really bad and I couldn't take any more. I went over to the sink and thought about pissing in it. One of the guys was almost done with his urinal. He was old and when the tinkling noise stopped, he started mumbling painfully, "uhhhh ohhh arrrr uhhhhh..." and started pissing again. The other guy was pissing a long time and would stop and fart and start back up pissing again. A drop of pee came out and I ran over to the toilet and pissed all over the toilet. My urethra is messed up from being catheterized in the hospital way back when so I also pissed all over the toilet paper roll too. I was pissing forever. I thought I should help out the janitor and pissed the turds off the seat, rim, and tank. The piss stream knocked free the Corona bottle and it shattered on the floor. Finally, I was done. I washed my hands and left the piss-soaked toilet paper roll, turds, piss, broken glass, and limes on the floor. I would have taken a chance and flushed the toilet but, the handle had a turd on it too. Clean restrooms my ass. read more

While shopping at this location I saw at least 10 people in the store with no face masks or any face covering. So tells me that Buc-ee's employees are not health or safe Conscience, not social distancing, and is a dangerous environment. This also tell me their headquarters is not doing nothing to prevent the spread of Covid-19. Until further notice I will not stop or shop at any of their stores. And as I sit here write, I just saw a police officer or sheriff walk in without a face mask. This Bucees is indeed very busy especially when workers are going to or from the plants. It is depressing to see that fuel is .10 or more cents higher than the stores in LJ. I do agree that the restrooms are not up to the standards of the rest of the stores. My biggest concern is that one of the employees is consistently very rude and unprofessional. The rest are always friendly and helpful, but Ambia has one of the worst attitudes I have ever seen, and I have been managed retail and customer service operations for almost thirty years. This location can get very busy in the morning and at lunch times, as it is in the middle of some of the Freeport area refineries. We usually come here before we stop at the beach. Stopped in recently and it was pretty quiet. An employee took it upon herself to make fun of the way my son rolled up his jeans (in preparation for the beach) to other colleagues. She whispered to another colleague that his style looked g**. We didn't confront her because we didn't want to make a scene in front of our children. My son didn't hear it. My husband and I were angry but we made our purchase and left. Yes, this is a smaller Buc-ee's than others, but this location offers fishing gear and sun/surf gear! Well, it is by Surfside beach so they carry everything you might have forgotten to pack, like floaties and sand toys as well as fishing stuff. I like going here to use the bathrooms, of course. Super clean as all Buc-ee's locations and it just beats having to use that stinky public one. They serve hot food here as well as deli items. If you prefer, you could just hop in the car and drive down to Surfside and get EVERYTHING you need for a day at the beach here. I'm reviewing the big Buc-ees as I think this is the correct address for it. I think the small one is to the East of this location, but I'm not positive. Anyway, this was my first experience with Buc-ee's and I'm a fan. I was really impressed with the food selections as they saved my life from the inferior choices of the bad restaurants in this area. I love The Beaver! The Buc-ee's beaver, that is. This is the first Buc-ee's I ever went to. I remember thinking "Wow, this is a great store." when I walked in. Buc-ee's #7 has a little bit of everything that the tourist or local folk could want. They have a HUGE coffee bar. You can get tea there too. That coffee bar has saved me more than once when I faced a long drive back to the far north side of the Houston area after a LOOOONG day of fishing and beach fun. There is a snack food area with hot dogs and such. There is a huge selection of canned and bottled soft drinks, large amounts of beer, wine, and coolers. There is more snack food and convenience store staples than you can shake a stick at. They have ICEEs too. More fun is their tourist shop with flip flops, swim suits, shells, trinkets, and fishing gear. It's an awesome place to poke around and see what you can waste some cash on. Lastly, this Buc-ee's has a real life saver for the tourist or weekend visitor. CLEAN BATHROOMS. There are a large number of stalls and clean facilities where you can come in and get changed after a day swimming and fishing. Words cannot describe how nice that is. Worst Buc-ee's bathroom I've ever seen. Maybe all "small" (old) Buc-ees are like that? I convinced my carload of friends to "hold it" until we got to this Buc-ees. I regaled them with stories of walls of urinals with full-length masonry privacy dividers, complete with individual hand sanitizers; a huge gallery of stalls with sturdy floor-to-ceiling doors that look like they could secure the cockpit of a 747; quad-banks of touchless paper towel dispensers for guaranteed hand drying after washing with perfectly warmed water dispensed from the sinks; and of course the renowned full-time bathroom attendants continuously cleaning the already-spotless lavatory. Instead I was embarrassed to discover this location has just regular, disgusting public bathrooms. The men's room has 2 urinals with flimsy privacy guards and 2 stalls, poorly built so that someone standing in front of the door has a great view of the person inside due to the large crack in the door frame. There was a long line of people waiting to abuse the facilities. The sink counter was a huge mess, dripping onto the floor. The room was dim due to several burned out fluorescent bulbs, plus one flickering bulb. Bathrooms aside, this location is small, which means long lines at the gas pump and checkout. When I went gas was noticeably more expensive than other places. Buc-ees needs to revoke the franchise license for this location! read more

I was in this location yesterday and there were 2 clerks on duty. One was working while the other was flirting with a young man and not working. So I went to her counter. She apologized to the young man and then gave me all kinds of attitude. Once she rang me up, she was done. I paid with my debit and then had to reach across the counter to get a bag to put my items in saying "Please, allow me" while she just stood there glaring at me. I looked right at her and said "You are highly overpaid." C'mon Buccee's . . . you can do better. read more

I went in the store about 1 am and got two beers and another mixed drink. Im from out of state and forgot the Texas alcohol sales regs. I put the beer back in the ice coolers and went to the restroom. A security gaurd came in then another. I used the restroom and left. Paid for my goods and went on my merry way. 2 weeks later i ge5 a call from the sherriffs office saying i stole something. They sent me a picture of me holding the beverage. Taken right before i returned it. They said i drank it in the restroom. But there was one security guy in there plus one more followed me in. Now im having to deal with the sherriff. Which i dont think is fair at all. They said they had me on camera stealing. But they dont, they have me on camera holding something i intended to pay for. I realized i could not and put it back! I love these stores but very disappointed with them!!!My 22 yr old daughter and her Husband took my teenage daughter and their two kids out for a beach outing. I insited they stop there buy their six pack and some snacks for the kids. I was going in a different car and will meet them later. When I saw my oldest daughter she told me the store had reclined to sell them the alcohol because she had my teenage daughter with them! Obviously just because my daughter and son in law have tattoos and Hispanic. You should have more training on how to sell alcohol and stop being so racist! I stopped also that day and my niece grabbed chips and said she was going to buy it herself. But when checking out I said that's it and the cashier pointed at the bag of chips and told her to handle him the chips!!Why!!!you dont asume Im buying them! This is small Buc-ees however the business was wall to wall and the main reason today was the price of the gasoline. $3.33 when everyone else had close to $3.50 in the are. The gas price was enough to get me inside the store where we dropped another few bucks. This is a very small location compared to a new one I recently visited in the New Bramwell area. These store have everything from t-shirts (love the orange one with the beaver) to all kinds of really fresh sandwiches. read more

I went to this Buccees on 11/25 around 10:15 with some family on our way to fish close by. I decided not to go in and wait on my family and just as i went to get back to get in the truck i slipped and fell. The maintenance man had been spraying something outside near the pumps but for some reason he begin to spray the side walk right near the truck. Before i could realize not sure what was in the area i slipped. Fortunately a security lady saw me asked if i was ok and that i should make a report. I went in and asked the guy why did he spray knowing i was in the area. He really didnt know why but took my name and info and told me to make a report on line. I did make a report and got a standard email from claims saying i would hear from them when the investigation was completed. I was in some pain the first few days but didnt go to dr because of my insurance. Now its been over 2weeks and i haven't heard from them. The staff showed no interest in whether i was severely injured or not. I consider this incident reason enough not to visit because if the safety of patrons arent taken seriously then i will not do business with establishment. read more
