Don't stop here if you're expecting a real Buccees. It's a small store and I get that. Doesn't excuse poor service and quality control. First time I ordered a grilled cheese with tots. Grilled cheese was literally dripping grease and I couldn't eat it. Tots were cold and mushy. Tried again today. I learned my lesson and checked the bag before I even paid for it. Tots were still horrible, almost like they were cooked in the microwave rather than fried. I showed the manager and gave him the bag back. Won't be going here again. I've never been to a Bucees that didn't exceed my expectations until today and we are devout fans. The brand is still #1 in my book **BUT** IF you're going to the one on Crabb River, please know that the food there might not be the quality you get at other Bucees and by 7:30 pm they're shutting things down at this location. We ordered at the kiosk, and for the sides we had an option of tater tots or pickle spears. For sandwiches, the choices were chopped beef or pulled pork. No options to add onions or pickles or anything else. Only an option to add jalapeños. The sandwiches were made to order and decent. They weren't hot or anything, but they tasted like Bucees chopped beef. The made to order tots were another story. It's like they were dehydrated, fried, dehydrated and fried again. Half were hollow inside. Needless to say we didn't eat them. Bucees is still our favorite but we'll just stick to car washes and gas at this location. Bottom line, if you come here for food, you might get Bucees quality, but you also might not. read more

Some guy that parked his car got out and started yelling at my family and I. A big Mexican woman that works there came out and yelled at us to leave the premises. We told her we were, but she needed to tell the guy that was yelling irate things at us something as well. She then came up to our car and was like I'm not going to put up with yalls crap and need to leave. As she was yelling at us, the gentleman came back to our car and started cursing and yelling at us again, but she didn't once tell him anything. So as she was still yelling at us to leave, she was also blocking our car from leaving. All while saying that I was the one that needed to apologize to her, after she came and attacked us. I personally love bucees but I will protect my family when it comes down to it. The team leader that came out to yell at us, was Elizabeth Rodriguez. Not the smallest but kind of in a sense you are missing out on the tons of merchandise opportunities that the flagship locations offer but accommodating for the location. If you are cutting over from 59 and heading to the Sweeney/Freeport area via 35 then this is your last Buc-ee's before the next one by 288. The place is always clean, the gas prices are a few cents lower than the norm. You won't find this right off of the freeway but if you drive about 3 blocks in from Crabb River Rd via 59 you'll see it on your right-hand side. My only complaint about all of these Buc-ee's are that none of them carry the windshield squeegee and paper towels that most of us are used to as free services to use, but that's just minor 1st world problems. If you've never been to a Buc-ee's before what I can tell you is not only is their gas to be pumped here but inside there is a small deli that makes you a small variety of food. You order from a screen and moments later your food is ready. Health conscience persons can also get a salad and fruit cups here. read more

This was my least favorite Buc-ee's of all the Buc-ee's that have ever Buc-ee'd. Why you ask? First of all, it's small... very small. You're killing me smalls! Secondly, they didn't have all the ingredients I'm used to using in my coffee, such as caramel syrup or whipped cream. Thirdly, when I asked one of the workers a question, she wasn't very friendly. Shame! Fourthly, they had no boudin kolaches! Oh the humanity! Lastly, a guy bumped me on purpose & didn't say excuse me. Really upset! I sent my daughter to get us an icee at Bucees on Crab River on this hot day. When she got there all but the ICEE small cups were gone. She called me and I suggested she use the large soda cup and in form the cashier that the cups were out but to charge her for the large icee up. When she got to the counter and explained this the Buccees cashier told her this was stealing and that she had to leave the store. She again told the cashier you are out of cups so charge me what's appropriate. The cashier again told her she was stealing and to leave the store. This is the stupidest thing I have ever heard. Instead of worrying about keeping your supplies on hand Bucees prefers to accuse people of stealing while standing at the register trying to pay what's appropriate? I don't thing Buc-ee's works as well as a micro concept as it does with it's giant stores. You just can't fit everything in that makes Buc-ee's what it is. The bathrooms are still super clean and the selection is great. The gas prices are very competitive. If you use a TDECU credit card, they give you $.10 off per gallon automatically. read more

They have the best looking manager at night time. Like seriously are you single?! ‍ He's very professional, and seems to always have great customer service. This location is extremely clean, and has a good selection of items. They even have a car wash area located behind back. Also just like other restrooms this one is super clean as well. Buc-ee's! Who doesn't love Buc-ee's? Why it would take a real nutjob not to love or at least like Buc-ee's. But Buc-ee's is a gas station, you says? Well, yes it is that but it's also so much more. After you fuel up at Buc-ee's, make a leap for the loo or whatever you need to do, take the time to walk around and see what Buc-ee's has to offer. Sold here are the standard gas station snacks of hot dogs, chips, cakes and candies along with almost anything else you could think of to eat. Hot dogs are good quality meat, tasty and NOT the burnt outside, unnatural red color red inside. BBQ brisket sandwiches are decently tender with good flavor though some slices are a bit thick. Deli sandwiches can be purchased per-packaged or made fresh and customized how you like. Kolaches of sausage, ham and fruit are baked up fresh in the mornings along with doughnuts and cinnamon rolls. If you're wanting healthful items, Buc-ee's does have fruit salads, regular salads and not so healthy but they're still better than a candy bar yogurt parfaits. Thirsty? You'll see boohoodles of fountain and bottled drinks, tea, coffee and beers. Craving a different kind of snack? Buc-ee's has savory beef and other jerkys, white and dark chocolate covered pretzels, caramel corn, mixed nuts and that wondrous creation called Butter Toffee Mixed Nuts. Buc-ee's also has some of the neatest items and gifts with the cute as can be Buc-ee Beaver on them. Cups, koozies, hats, coolers and anything else you can think of are sold at a reasonable cost. Buc-ee's is a perfect place to stop on the way to the park for charcoal or any other necessity. Did I mention restrooms? Buc-ee's has some of the cleanest and I mean spotless restrooms around. No urine soaked tissue littering the floor, no unflushed surprises waiting behind stall doors and there is always a good stock of TP, soap and paper towels. Lovee Buc-ee's! Gas has consistently been at least 20 cents cheaper here than the gas stations in Sugar Land/Houston. And then it's even cheaper if you get a car wash, but I'm not sure how much an actual car wash is.. Chevron is also right across from it, usually at the same price if you'd prefer that. Great place to stop if you need a clean bathroom, Beaver Nuggets, Kettle corn, fudge, jerky, etc.. This one's not as big as others I've stopped at, but it's brand new and nice! read more

I consider this to be the much ignored, red headed step child of the Buc-ee's franchise. It's not on the main highway. There's no fun billboards for miles telling you to stop or giant Buc-ee's sign on the highway announcing: "It's a beaver!". It would be sad to compare it to the other Buc-ee's. It's more of a corner store that carries Buc-ee's stuff. Sure that Buc-ee's stuff includes Beaver Nuggets and great fudge and Dr Pepper Icee's. It just seems very sterile compared the the totally awesome truck stop kitsch at the bigger ones. No cool gift shop with lots of Buc-ee's t-shirts and shorts and caps and koozies and bumper stickers or big nice deli or isles and isles of candy and jerky. But if you need basic Buc-ee's stuff and can't get to the one in Pearland or Luling this one will do. read more

Although I'm a biiiiig fan of the Buc-ee's mother store in Luling, TX, I'm not too crazy of the little sister stores scattered around Houston - this one included. Honestly, they're mere shadows of the mother store. Things it DOES have: * Your typical convenience store items: snacks, drinks, beer, etc. * Still offers parfaits, sandwiches, salads, and Buc-ee's snacks (Beaver Nuggets, jerky, etc.) like at other locations. * Clean restrooms. * A bit of Buc-ee merch, mostly shirts. Well, just shirts. You won't find any Dippin' Dots or the whole "country store" get-up here. Don't get me wrong, it's still probably the nicest and tidiest gas station/convenience store around, but if you come here expecting the full Buc-ee's empire, you'll be sorely disappointed. read more

This location's car wash ripped the top trim off my new SUV and left it with scratches. Local store staff handled it poorly (ignored me and tried to hide after their cameras caught it), but I was hoping the corporate office would make amends. After filing a claim, I had to keep reaching out for updates, and eventually they sent me a letter saying they were denying it given that they have a disclaimer about parts, trims, and accessories on the property. Totally awesome that I hardly ever have to wait for an available pump. Plus it's only a hop and skip away from where I live so that's even better. I usually go across the street for gas but than I noticed the prices are always the same! So I might as well just get gas at Bucee's so I don't have to wait awkwardly for the person in front to finish pumping their gas. Hopefully yall get lucky because sometimes on certain pumps...it's ridiculously sloooow Their car wash is pretty convenient too since we can just choose and pay for the type of quick wash we want. I like the huge area that we can just park and vacuum our cars with the free vacuum tokens given when you purchase a car wash. I think I might still have some tokens from the days when I'm in a rush or just lazy to vacuum. So overall... pretty convenient, clean, and cheaper prices for gas :) read more

We exited the main freeway to come to this bucees to only be disappointed. It's a smaller store, which is fine because they did offer what we were in search of, but once we were in I noticed their ice machine needed some repairs. I asked a cashier if he could get me some help. He called over a young woman who came up to the machine and did not say one word to me, turned around and left. I followed her and asked her if she would be able to help me with the machine and with an attitude rolled her eyes and said, "I'll fix it." If you've ever been to a REAL Buc'ee's, this one will just leave you cold. It's small, self-serve everything, no gift shop, a tiny deli, lots of gas pumps and vacuuming stations, and that's it. I could have been at any freeway off-ramp service station, or a neighborhood 7-11. Just sad. This one is not even that close to the freeway, nor can you see it from the freeway. It's on a secondary street. My image of Buc-ee's is now shattered, and I realize all their stores are not created equal, so just shop price. read more

All Greatwood, Canyon Gate, and Tara residents: I challenge you to skip past Bucees and go to the Mobile across the street or the HEB down the road to get gas and supplies. If you are going for cheap gas, stop. Gas is as cheap at the Mobile across the street or HEB down the road If you are going to support something other than big-oil chains, stop. Buc-ee's is a huge chain. If you go for the experience, stop. The experience hasn't changed in the 10+ years that we've been going to the chain. If you're going for convenience, stop. Do a price comparison on anything inside the store to CVS or the Mobile across the street. If you're going for customer service, stop. Ask yourself what customer service you actually get, especially when compared to any of the other aforementioned stores. Better yet, ask for some customer service there and see if it happens. If you're going for coffee, seriously stop - It's weak water in a thin and fragile cup. If you're going for breakfast, stop. Three words: Rudy's breakfast tacos. They are just minutes away and sooo much better. Note to Buc-ee's corporate: My family were loyal customers for over a decade. We had frequented this location since it opened.
