But they are severely lacking in payment processing updates, I don't like to carry wallet n use Apple pay but HEB n Walmart are 2 big companies who would not accept smart payment systems. I shopped like every other day and this was the first time that I had an item missing when I got home I did check my receipts to make sure I paid it and I did I called the store. Partners were nice, lines weren't too bad however my line didn't have a bagger so I bagged my own groceries which is fine, just took a little longer. Tonight I needed to inflate some balloons for my son's 20th birthday. I called my regular H-E-B but they wanted to conserve their helium for valentines with the weather coming in. Then I called this H-E-B and spoke with Jamie - she was so helpful and willing to let me buy the helium! When I arrived she remembered me from the phone and actually helped me blow up the balloons herself. She was very friendly and I was so thankful that I can surprise my son in the morning with the balloons! Not only was this experience with Jamie awesome, but when I went to check out with my groceries and go to my car it was quite breezy as the storm was moving in and one of the cart guys (so bummed I didn't get his name, young nice guy) stopped what he was doing and came over and helped me get the balloons inside my car, talk about service! Nobody was watching over them, they just care and that is what I love most about this HEB which will be my H-E-B as often as I can. Was at this store for some $4 .97 lb oxtails. First thing I noticed is that they didn't " face" the meat. I mean they didn't scrape off the bone shavings. No harm but it leaves the product looking really cruddy and is an overall indicator of the meat dept. While checking out the clerk told me I didn't want that pack and pointed to a hair. From the length and shape , it looked like one of those bar girl/ Cruella De Ville looking fake lashes.UGH! Asked if I wanted a replacement but I said no, cancel it ALL! He apologized and I said," not your fault but good looking out. THANKS!" Won' t print his name since this is a negative review but I was thankful. Customer service was ok. I've had better. I know this isn't a Central Market but I'm surprised with the location it's not. I guess the area doesn't pay enough in property taxes. So my review is jaded. They have a minimal selection of produce. I will probably never need a kumquat but it should be available. read more

Another bad experience there last week. I came in the store by the pharmacy to get a watermelon. I crossed over and walked outside with my small cart and suddenly the wheel locked on the cart. I had nothing in my cart but my purse. The watermelons were all at the other entrance, but I wasn't aware of that until I walked into the produce section!! No signs or anything!! Disappointing trip to get some groceries. I ended up getting the watermelon and left! read more

I have been shopping at this location since the store opened and lately the shelves are empty in the afternoon. Very frustrating.

I shop here almost on a daily basis and have been getting my medications here for a few months but I recently had to have my prescription resent by a dr that I have been on for several years because of being out of refills. NEVER IN MY LIFE HAVE I HAD TO EXPLAIN TO A PHARMACIST HOW UNSTABLE AM TO GET THEM TO FILL MY PRESCRIPTIONS! If it is prescribed by a DOCTOR don't freaking question it! This is the first time I've been in an H-E-B. I was visiting family in Houston and decided to surprise them by cooking breakfast one morning. This grocery store was only a couple of miles away. I could have been in here for hours. There were so many unique items. The meat section looked so fresh that I wished I could have a huge shopping trip. Too bad I live far away in Michigan. Oh well. All I could do was gaze longingly. I did manage to get the few breakfast items I needed and a few other items to consume while in Texas. read more

When passing through this area and realizing I need a few groceries to get supper going, this HEB does the job of providing what I may need. The store has plenty of parking, is clean, spacious and every employee I've encountered has been very helpful and friendly. The layout is good at keeping the store from seeming cramped when it's busy. Add a plus one for that. I'll give them another plus two for the fact that they sell already chilled sodas made with actual sugar which are the only kind I'll drink. Many groceries just sell them room temperature in the drink aisle. On the rare times I drink sodas, it's nice to be able to grab a cold, sugary one ready to go. This HEB also sells several varieties of ice cream and seasonal ice cream treats such as the Reese's Egg Ice cream eggs I saw near Easter time. The Reese's cup ice cream and Twix ice cream bars caught my attention, also. It's hard to go wrong with anything sweet. The bakery is pretty good and fresh. As far as meat and seafood departments go, I've bought some surprisingly good crab claw meat as well as lump here. I was pleased with the quality of the baby back ribs, too. While I don't buy the bulk of my groceries here, I will continue to shop this HEB when I am in the area. They sell items I need plus treats that make me happy and that makes me a fan. read more

When at all possible I will go to any HEB over Kroger- that's just common sense. Better product quality, customer service, and every couponer's wet dream on top of their already great values. This location seems to hold up these standards from the handful of times I've stopped in. Departments are nicely organized for easy navigation inside the store with wide aisles and signs everywhere. My only complaint is the women's restroom has been closed off the past 3 times I've been, which is very inconvenient for a pregnant lady as myself. The poor custodian didn't realize he should count his lucky stars that I wasn't racing to the restroom to puke that last time! Besides making sure you "go" before leaving home, this store makes you dread grocery day a little bit less! read more

This location has gone down over the years! The ladies in the bakery are rude and unhelpful. The "manager" in the pharmacy is very disrespectful, inconsiderate and rude as well. Not only did she over talk, she didn't listen to anything being said as she made smart comments. Employees by pass you when your asking for helping. And when you speak to higher management it seems as nothing is done because their customer service does NOT improve and too busy trying to go back and forth instead of coming up with a solution. This is actually a great location because of the many businesses around but with customer service like that I will travel elsewhere to avoid negativity like that. read more

We bought 2 sacks of crawfish this past weekend for my daughters birthday, and half of both sacks were dead. When I called to see if anything could be done to get our money back, they suggest we brought the crawfish back, which in that moment was actually impossible, we ended having to order pizza for our guests, but was very disappointed, HEB guaranteed freshness, these were not fresh. read more

This was my favourite grocery store when visiting Texas. And, yes, totally echo Melissa B in saying: with a little dedication and a little detective work, you can totally find delicious, affordable organic products. Take, erm...at HEB! All of my favourite Chia drinks and energy bars and and and. This location of HEB is large, but not their largest (NB, though: large by Texas standards means "pretty flipping big" in other locations). There is an extensive pharmacy, and I love their "ethnic" foods section - a whole wall of hot sauces, another one dedicated to BBQ options, and many Indian and Mexican staples (both packaged foods, as well as key pantry ingredients). I am also a fan of their fresh sections; the grab-and-go produce, sure, but also the deli, the stall making sushi, and the amazing machine that churns out fresh tortillas. On that last front I particularly recommend making a bee-line for the "half and half"; whole wheat and flour tortillas. The freshest ones are kept in a special case near the front (also identifiable by steam rising): head here, and thank me later. Otherwise: large bakery section, often samples on offer, and amazingly friendly staff who can check for things in stock through tapping into the HEB app (yep, tech-friendly grocery this is!). All in all: the most pleasant of grocery experiences! Yeah yeah rah rah! Yelp note: check out the special "paired" deals throughout the store. For example; Oreos on sale when purchased with milk. They're usually distinguishable by special notes left on the products (basically a HEB-authorised Post-it notes system). read more

This review is based on my experience at the pharmacy. I showed up 30 mins before they closed and was told by the pharmacist Lucinda that she would not be able to fill our prescription that night because of a discrepancy or error the doctor made when he filled it out. She said she could hold it and verify the prescription with the doctor in the morning. I left and had no issues filling the prescription at the Walgreens next door, indicating to me that the "discrepancy" was a made up excuse to not have to stay late and fill the prescription. It was quite obvious by her attitude and demeanor that she simply wasn't willing to help me because it might have made her a few minutes late leaving work. Not what I would expect from a healthcare professional. read more

MALCOLM, the manager at this location is in desperate need of communication skills. I just had the worst customer experience. He doesn't listen when dealing with concerns and instead hits you with an underhanded question and extremely rude demeanor. HEB used to be professional but now that they're making more money they want to treat the customers like trash. You will become Randall's soon enough, so enjoy your 15 minutes with your trash management and lack of customer service skills. read more

4 stars for the food I want always being available for the most part, and for keeping the place consistently organized . The only thing keeping me from giving 5 stars, is the younger cashiers who like to talk about how much they don't like their job, what they did over the weekend, and other personal conversations amongst them. Today, the cashier Jazsmine, was talking to the bagger about shaving her legs tonight as she waits for her bf. This is the most cramped, crowded grocery store around. It gives me hives walking in this place. Aisles are narrow, the selection is limited, and the store layout makes no sense. If you don't like crowded spaces, Drive a mile or two up 99 and visit the Randall's in New Territory, or go to the Kroger Marketplace in Rosenberg. read more

I'm not local, but was in the area for several weeks, and I think H.E.B. is generally above average so I shopped Riverpark. Once. This store stinks; literally! Seafood left out, produce rotting... IDK, repulsive stinks like that. Merchandise is disorganized and no one seems to care you can't get around stacks and piles everywhere. Customer service is laughable. Personnel there are worse than rude, they are HATEFUL. A kid named Alec whom I observed particularly needs to have his attitude adjusted. Actually he needs to be a stocker I think, away from the public. Life's too short, and competition is too abundant to spend a dime in this excuse for "neighborhood" grocer.. read more
