Bucees is one giant beacon on the interstate. It's not just a gas station or rest stop. They sell many of their own prepackaged snacks along with other rest stop fare. There's a full service bakery, BBQ restaurant, gift shop and all around great place to stop. This place is huge. There has to be about 30 gas pumps. Pictures don't do it justice though I tried. It's also very clean and efficient. Plus It's true. This place really does have the nicest bathrooms. Don't be intimidated by the size or length of lines. It's worth the stop. read more

I'm a Buc-ee's fan, what can I say. This is another great location to stop at, with plenty of fuel pumps, acres of parking, and the enormous emporium inside the store with clean restrooms and a never-ending supply of pop, coffee, snacks, and whatever else suits your fancy. It's difficult to add to what the other reviewers have said about Buc-ee's but I will say this: if you have an electric vehicle (Tesla, or one that can use a Tesla charger stand) you are in luck because this place has the most amazing array of Tesla vehicle chargers I've ever seen--forty-eight in all. This is a terrific Bucc-ee's location.  There are a ton of gas pumps for a heavy rush of vehicles. There are also at least 20 Tesla charging stations! I guess they are planning for the future. Like all Bucc-ee's, the bathroom was large and clean. The drink station is massive and probably has an option for the majority of patrons. There is fudge and a fresh bakery and BBQ. Yum! I suggest getting extra if you visit either, because having some the next day is a treat! read more

Buc-ee's temple location is a great spot to stop at or even a destination. As I came to this location I was greeted with a large statue of Buc-ee the beaver. This is filed with such amazing items to buy if you are traveling by car, or going home on a plane and even better items if you are local and load up your truck. This is the first ever Buc-ee's I've been to and man, what a cool place!!! Not gonna lie though, the store had so many things it did overwhelm me but in a good way. I was able to get a bunch of gifts for my trip back to California. The people here are so friendly and welcoming. Been greeted all around the store by different employees. Probably the most memorable employee, (I believe her name is Myra?) super sweet lady that handed me and my friends a Buc-ee's sticker, she had a great smile and attitude. The person that helped me pick out jerky was great too. I requested to cut the pieces up so it'd be easier to snack on and they did that for me(Another Buc-ee's I've went to did not let me have my jerky cut even after weighing and price lol). Restrooms were clean and orderly as I've heard by many people that praise Bu-cee restrooms. Overall, best Buc-ee's I've been in so far that we went again before we flew back home. read more

So I have a old high school girlfriend that lives in Fort Worth. Sometimes we like to meet in the middle in Waco because we just miss hanging out and catching up. I recently got an electric car and I'm not used to long-distance driving. On my way to Waco. I realized that I didn't charge it enough and I had to stop somewhere. This was the first time I had to stop on a trip to charge. Every other time before this, I had charged my car at home so I was kind of nervous. I'm really thankful that Buc-ees has a whole row of superchargers for Teslas. I'm sure these superchargers can also work for other electric vehicles if they had a converter. Buc-ees is known to be an amazing gas station with a really cool store that has a lot of yummy snacks as well as fun items that you can shop through. I did not know that they also have electric charging stations. I'm so glad that they did because while my car is charging, I was able to go inside shop for a little bit use their amazingly clean bathrooms and then get some snacks! Oh man this place is enormous. The gas is fairly cheap, and there are a ton of pumps. Of course, they're well known for their world-famous clean restrooms, so just go in and wash your hands to see the restroom that God must use, haha. The interior building is as large as a normal sized Target, and sells drinks, all sorts of snacks and jellies, home decor, apparel, and souvenirs. Perfect for finding gifts, especially for anyone who loves Bucees already. Recommend the chopped brisket sandwich. It's about $8, but worth the money. It's easy to eat, stays warm for a while, and is tangy and tender. Wouldn't recommend getting an XL though, as it's an extra $5 for not much more meat. Completely disappointed with Buc-ee's. After driving and pulling our 5th wheel camper, it was time for a Diesel stop and some food. I have always been able to approach the counter where sandwiches are made, and have them not put the BBQ sauce on it. I am really conservative on my sugar intake, been diabetic for a few years now, and I am getting older. They refused, saying that would be a custom sandwich and they will not do it. Well, I will not be eating anything there then, and since I have no reason to go inside, (besides clean bathroom), the only thing I'll be spending my money on is fuel. Maybe our lunch isn't important to them, but my health is important to me. This is not just the Temple location, the food manager said it was everywhere. Being from a part of the country that doesn't have Texas-sized fueling stations every five miles, these places completely blow my mind....in all the right ways! First off, this place isn't large. It isn't very, very big. It's ABSOLUTELY HUGE. It's like an old Super Walmart met a neighborhood fueling station, and out pops this result. Despite it's size, it somehow is one of the brightest, cleanest gas stations and convenience stores I've ever seen. There must be 200 urinals and stalls on the gentlemen's side alone. You'd think, "man, that's a lot of stalls to keep clean." It is. But they are. All of them. Of note: there are approximately 50 Tesla Superchargers out front, on top of the dozens and dozens of gas pumps, which are lined up in multiple pump banks. Inside the convenience store, everything has it's own, full station. You like coffee? There's an enormous bar for that. You like candy? There are walls and walls for that. Frankly, I think there's something here for everyone... maybe even martians. It feels weird to rate, essentially, a gas station. But, this is NOT your mom and dad's old gas station - this is what ALL gas stations should aspire to be!! read more

I hope management reads these reviews because the bathroom situation has suddenly changed, I'm assuming it's due to a change in management. I stop here specifically for the bathroom and then Bucees typically gets about $30 of my spending money. It's a win/win. Typically, the restrooms are very clean and the tremendously long line goes very quick. Today was different however. There was a person dictating how many and when the line can enter the bathroom and that caused several people to be able to cut the line, causing delays. I also had a dirty toilet seat. It seems they should have the employee cleaning rather than dictating who can enter. read more

If you be never been here - you owe it to yourself to find the beaver. There's a lot to find here, plenty of inexpensive gas - over 100 pumps, priced cheaper than the surrounding area. NOT CELIACS OR GLUTEN SENSITIVE FRIENDLY I was recently at the Buc-ee's in Crossville, TN. I drove an hour out of the way to get there on a long day of driving because I had heard such good things about it and especially the BBQ. I have celiac disease, so needless to say, I knew my options would limited, but smoked meats are usually not a problem. I asked the employee at the sandwich station if I could have the brisket sandwich with no bun. I was told no, that the meats can only be sold on a bun or literally by the pound. You cannot purchase less than a pound, and a pound of brisket was 28.00. Wow!!!! I bought the pound of brisket and a cooler to store the leftovers in for the road trip ahead, 18.00. It is hard to overstate the size and variety of this mega sized truck stop. I'd seen similar places next door in Iowa, but Buc-Ees blows other types of gas stations/truck stops out of the water. There is a lot of room devoted to clothing and knick-knacks. I didn't find a lot that related to my own lifestyle, per se, but it was fun to look around all the same. They have a surprising amount of prepared food here, similar to a grocery store's offerings in that regard. You can get baked goods and fudge! Also, there is a centrally located barbeque counter with ready-made sandwiches: brisket, turkey, etc., and the smells lured me in. I tried some smoked turkey and it was heavenly! I didn't know turkey could be that tasty. There is an entire wall of jerky, and there are other areas with hot sauce, spice blends, and other cool things to consume and/or gawk at. The staff seems friendly and polite here, happy to help. I have read that they are managed very intensely, e.g. excessive micromanagement, so I hope they are OK (blink twice if you're in danger guys/y'all). We went in and hit the immaculately cleaned rest rooms, I grabbed a brisket sandwich and some chips and then I headed for my large fountain Diet Coke....... you cut Diet Coke?!?
