They quickly changed out his reel and gave him pointers on where to fish. Here's where the story gets better: That afternoon my grandson tried to cast and his line became a complete tangle. We went back to West Marine and were helped once again by Thai. He proceeded to very patiently untangle and restring the line. He tested it and once again gave my grandson instructions on how to prevent line tangles, how to fix, how to do test drops. I tried the chat feature, and the agent told me to try the transaction again. I did, and again the order did not process successfully. I thought I'd try my luck with speaking with someone at the local store, so I called the Alameda location and was lucky enough to get Leparish on the phone. He diligently worked on troubleshooting with me, confirmed there was indeed some issue with the payment processing, and instead of waiting on corporate to hopefully resolve it, he went ahead and packed up the items I needed right there at the store himself, and scheduled a shipment to my employer. He made sure I had all the pertinent order information I needed in my inbox before I got off the phone. He was helpful, patient, and courteous. Customer service like this is a rarity these days. I was pressed for time and had a small window to get this done. I called and spoke to Nathan and he was able to accommodate my schedule and get the job done and on time. A bit about the service. I did receive a call from Nathan about my jet skis and he was able to thoroughly provide a status and clearly explained what he found. My main concern was the switch, he tested the switch and the relay and everything was good. He told me how to rectify the problem and did not recommend changing any parts. I asked about replacing with new parts and he told me it would function the same. I appreciated his honesty and was pleased he did not take advantage of an opportunity to make more money! The customer service was outstanding! I talked to both Nathan and Marina and they both were nice and pleasant. When I arrived they both greeted me and helped me unhook my trailer. When I came to pick up my jet skis, Nathan showed me my old parts and explained what was done. Marina took my payment and they both assisted with hooking up my trailer. I definitely will be back to winterize and service my jet skis. Great job Nathan and Marina!

The company was unable to accept credit cards but had payment options with cashapp, zelle and PayPal. My parents don't have any of these so I used my PayPal account. They requested that it be sent "friends and family" which seemed reasonable since they believed it was a reputable company. They then asked for MORE money to cover the insurance before shipping it which sent up huge red flags. We definitely dropped the ball and landed right in the lap of this scammer.

I had a check engine light on my brand-new Ford E350 Motorhome. I initially returned the RV to Camping World, where I purchased it, but they told me it was a "Ford problem" and that they were backed up for months. I then tried Fremont Ford, Sunnyvale Ford, and Mission Ford, but none of them could figure out the issue, despite the Engine Code PO453 indicating an evap leak. I was also hesitant to take my motorhome to a non-Ford repair shop because of warranty concerns. As an RV owner, I couldn't in good conscience take my family on long trips with the check engine light on. At C&E's recommendation, I contacted Ford Warranties and was informed that only Fairfield Ford could work on my motorhome, but they were also backed up for months. Frustrated, I filed a claim to have the vehicle repaired at a non-Ford location, which led me to C&E Trucking. C&E correctly diagnosed the issue as a faulty evap sensor. Unfortunately, the sensor was tied to the fuel system, which required a more extensive repair. They completed the work, and after two years of driving with a check engine light, the problem was finally resolved. This experience taught me an important lesson: big corporations like Ford lack the "local, family-owned business touch" that makes a difference. Their large-scale operations and mass hiring practices often mean their mechanics aren't as skilled or attentive as those at smaller shops. In fact, even Ford employees couldn't direct me to the right place to get my vehicle fixed. C&E Trucking, on the other hand, exceeded all expectations. Liz and her father own the shop, and their dedication to quality service shines through in every interaction. You can feel the pride and care of a family-owned business in the way their employees operate. C&E is hands-down one of the best auto repair shops in the Bay Area. Highly recommend--5 stars!
