I came here to get my cooling check. My car leaks and I ask them to check it. The pipe was leaking and they said to change they had to move the water heater because it was in the way. NO! It's not in The way. They wanted 1200. Tom wanted an extra 400 to clean the engine intake. Don't let his niceness deceive you! Lastly when I didn't want to accept the offer. Tom blames his colleague for saying that they have to move the water heater to get to the pipe. I would not recommend this place. read more

A decade or so ago i got my engine oil changed here. he found a problem with the oil system i wasn't familiar with. Le know his stuff. shop is very small and le seem to a one man shop. for that silly reason, i didn't return for any arduous repairs since most of the cars are left out in the open in his padlocked repair yard. read more

After they was done drove around and the alignment was all off car pulls real hard to the left and they said I had to spend like 1k to fix a part that was cracked(didn't see it) took it to another shop and did alignment again and came out perfect. Prices are reasonable and customer service is great. Tam is always very friendly and listens to what your saying. Ok, so I brought my car in for oil changes 3 times. My 3rd time is going to be the last, I only came here because they have the electronic lift where it lifts the whole car. Anyways my 3rd time here, the guy changing my oil is nice and I trust his work but it's the owner (Tam) I am pissed off at. 1) he charged me extra for using my debit card without even telling me. Last time I went there it was $33, today it's $35. Never mind the $2 extra, but it's the indecency to let me know ahead that there will be an extra charge. 2) After my car was done, I asked for a receipt. He wrote me the receipt after he backed my car out of his shop into the middle of the street to complete my receipt. He didn't leave my car in his shop so another car can pull in while he was writing me the receipt (save him 2 minutes) while leaving my car dangerously parked in the middle of the street. Quick and friendly service/staff. Came here on a rainy day and was assisted right away for an oil change. I ask for synthetic blend and the guy had his men work on it right away. I guess there's a price difference if you're pay cash and card but I was charged $37 cash for my oil change. After my car was done, I reset my maintenance warning on my car for another 5k. When I arrived home, I notice the sticker shown 3k. So I hope it's actually 5k! read more

Went to this place several times. It's good at the beginning and thought they were honest. One time, took my car in for a 90K service and had all my car belts change. After few months later, the car started squeaking. I took it back and he told me the barring was bent and it's eating at the belt. I told him I had it changed there few months back and he gave me an excuse that it's not the belt but the barring. So I thought maybe it's not their fault. Few months later I took my other car in because it had a flat tire. The tire was not repairable so I purchase 2 tires, 1 of them is a spare that I never used. couple months later when I took a drive trip, I got a flat again. Since I got the spare, I took it in to a tire place to get it swap. The person there told me my spare tire was over 12 years old, made in 2002 and that it can't be used. So Le's Auto sold me two 12 year old tires. They are bunch of lairs and I'll never go back there again. Beware going to this place. read more

Wow, after reading some of the earlier (angry) reviews, I thought I might share my experience. We have been using Le's for a number of years. First installing an engine in a 1988 Celica. And most recently when our 2001 Sienna van had computer issues. Yes, the repairs were costly (tried dealer service recently?). Costly but not unreasonable for the parts and labor involved in getting our van up to speed. Tam went out of his way to find less expensive, used parts to save us several hundreds of dollars. As I said, we had computer issues which were preventing our van from passing the bi-annual smog inspection. The process took a couple of weeks to track down. Tam switched out several computer components, replacing them with parts he had on hand to test each component. It took quite a bit to discover that the problem was a faulty ABS computer. (What the ABS computer has to do with smog is beyond me?!?) Tam was patient and really went out of his way to explain each step before proceeding. Except for the unavoidable (but entirely reasonable, due to circumstances) outlay of cash, the experience was probably the best automotive repair experience we have had. We will continue to use this excellent establishment! read more

Le's Auto Body & Engine Repair happen to be the best one and I must say they deserve 10 stars if I can give it to them, they were fast and efficient, we got in and right out of there, it was less then 45 mins. As a business owner myself I don't have time to wait all day, just to get my oil change. If you need a fast and cheap oil change this is your place to go! This non-decript repair shop located at 1550 E 12th (corner 16th Ave) looks quite ordinary, but owner Tam is quite adept at servicing both new and vintage cars. He has assembled a great group of people capable of repairing almost any car, including my 1987 Jaguar Vanden Plas. He corrected a severe handling problem and safety issue when he diagnosed a leaking rear brake caliper and a minute leak in one of the dual gas tanks. With the resources of Jag Heaven , Tam removed/replaced the gas tank, fuel gauges, rear calipers and pads and now this 31 yr old car performs better than when it was new in '87 (the last yr that Jaguar was an independent co). I was involved in a minor collision and my insurance co referred me to an auto body shop for repairs - estimate $3157 I showed the damage to Tam and his expert body man Willy and they came up with a creative solution for only $300. Front end looks great again! I also own a 1993 XJ-6 which, after sitting outside exposed to sun and rain, had gotten the original British racing green paint dull and marked up w/ 20 years of scratches. Willy, their expert body tech buffed out the entire car for $250 ; it was hard to recognize this 'new' Jag, the paint had a luster and shine never before seen by this car aficionado. This place actually deserves .5 to 0 star for what they actually do. If you have 'Service Engine Lights' on, don't even bother coming to this place. You can get free diagnosis from Pepboys and they do it in much more professional manner. I visited this place to get some estimates for the Trouble Codes I found out from Pepboys. The guy looked at the codes i written down and said he doesn't make much out of them unless he runs the diagnosis test again. Hoping that he would do better job than Pepboys (not sayting that Pepboys is bad but expected more from a mechanic), I paid for the dianosis service. To my dismay, this guy came up with exactly same thing I found out - same codes and same description, word for word (seriously). Then he recognized what they were and gave me estimates. I understand that mechanics would never do anything for free but lying to customers to make some money do not seem professional and reliable to leave my car in his care. I would not recommend this place at all. I am in agreement with another user that this owner is very very rude and unattentive. he has his phone surgically attached to his face and would not even bother give you an adequate explanation. Instead, he arrogantly throw that 'are you a mechanic' or 'do you know about cars' comments. Please avoid this place. read more

I went to this place few times, today I go there to check my front brake, one guy take a look for my car, and drive for 2 minutes and said I need to replace my brake, and I said I don't have time, I might go back the next day, and the guy said I need to pay $35 for checking the car, and I say u never told me cost that much for 2 minutes of checking, at the end I pay that $35. They should let me know at the beginning that is charge that much, they make me look like a fool, I will tell all my friends to not going there, and I will tell all the people that they are not an honest shop! read more
