2 online recommendations: We Are Pure Catskills: Buck Hill Farm: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rf6PfeQJck4 Buck Hill Farm You Tube channel: https://www.youtube.com/@BuckHillFarm This is the definition of farm-to-table. Most of the items offered at their weekend breakfast didn't travel miles and miles to get to the table. Instead, mere yards were covered to get it there. Okay, the meats were processed offsite but you get the point. There's much more to Buck Hill Farm than breakfast. Think entrepreneurial farm...maple syrup, fresh eggs, homemade ice cream, milk, elderberry elixir(?). I got to Buck Hill about 15 minutes after they opened on a Saturday. The place was already packed. It seems to be a hub for the community because it fosters a sense of community. There's something honest and wholesome about it. Oh yeah, the food. Simple menu of eggs, toast, bacon, sausage, red flannel hash (beets and potatoes), coffee, etc. Everything I've tried has been cooked with care. You can't ask for anything more. This is a "great good place." If you're in the area, make time to come over...have breakfast and take a tour of the farm.

This is a MUST STOP! Nestled in the Catskills is a hidden gem with farm to table food. The chickens are out back and you eat in the barn! Ok, not a barn with stables but it's a barn like building. You're going to get a hearty breakfast with coffee in real cups and use maple syrup tapped from real maple trees not made in a factory. In fact you can see the bottling system right there. And the cooler with the fresh dairy. So do it. Fly into NY, drive into the Catskills and go have breakfast.

Delicious farm cooked breakfast. Fresh eggs, bacon and huge blueberry pancakes with real maple syrup + creamy and rich chocolate milk. The food was simple, but stellar. Service was good, but putting down your name on the wait list was disorganized and confusing and people tried to cut us, so that was awkward. I recommend coming here for the food, but make sure you have time, as there's definitely a wait on the weekends and their operations are a bit slow.

We came here for our friend's wedding brunch and it was excellent. Such a cool little spot. Beautiful atmosphere, delicious food, and friendly service.

I really love this place and if you're in the Catskills please stop by for breakfast! If you go on a weekend, go early because it's very popular and gets packed. You can save yourself a wait if you show up at 8-9AM. The staff moves a bit slow, but it's because it's a small team and lots of people want to eat there, but they're so sweet, welcoming and kind. The breakfast is fresh and farm to table so everything taste great. We had the oatmeal (add the syrup on top and it's perfection), French toast, biscuits with sausage gravy, eggs, & coffee. We also picked up a few goodies on the shelf to go. They have syrup, honey, popcorn, etc that you can buy on your way out. They have outdoor and indoor seating so if you're there during the warmer months definitely sit outside and enjoy the fresh air with your breakfast.

I am addicted to their ketchup. Never thought I would put ketchup on pizza . Got some of their elderberry syrup! Also bought some of their frozen chicken soup which I have yet to try... There caramel popcorn is delicious :-)

    So pretty!

Lovely stop as we passed through the area. If you're there on weekend mornings you luck out and get the option for breakfast. We bought some great stuff in the shop and it was just a beautiful place overall. Also, the staff were super friendly.

Had a wonderful time here. The owners are so sweet and showed us the maple making process so throughly with many samples. Highly recommend buying the maple ice cream!

Keep an eye our for their daily specials because some of their specials are amazing! They do have a regular menu as well. It is rather limited but the quality is always excellent. The staff/owners are super polite and you can tell that they have pride in what they do. The country theme is adorable and perfect for the area. The area doesn't offer too many restaurants given that it's a small rural town and they are a huge gift to us over here!

We walked out and stayed away for three years. Yesterday, we decided to give them another chance, so we went back. There was no sign or any indication in any of the daily Facebook publicity that the dining room was closed, and that meal service is takeout only. So we went around to the takeout window, which is NOT handicap accessible (steps only, no ramp), and stand on line to finally learn that the dinner would not be ready for at least 25 minutes (this was at 5:30 PM, not exactly an off hour for dinner service). Did they honestly expect my disabled husband to stand in the blazing summer sun for half an hour? (There were no seats available by the window). I knocked on the door of the dining room hoping we could at least sit down to wait, but they didn't even answer. We left, we will NEVER return, and I will make sure to tell everyone I know in this little town to stay away unless you actually want to be treated badly. I don't care if your food is cordon-bleu, no business should treat their customers with such disregard. I guess they think that, since they are the only restaurant in town that isn't a bar, it's okay to be rude and unaccommodating. We drove to Cobleskill and had a lovely meal at the Cowboy Taquieria on Main Street.

The moment I stepped foot in the diner, I was instantly enveloped in a nostalgic and cozy atmosphere. It was full of charm with all the decorations. Definitely what you would picture in those classic movies/shows. Food was 10/10!! I ordered the buttermilk pancakes which is what they are most famous for and for good reason too! Fluffy and light and amazing portions (5 big pancakes with mixed berries)! The pancakes were so good that we bought a bag of pancake mix to take home. My sister ordered the eggs any way and she loved everything that came with it: eggs, choice of bacon or sausage, potatoes, and toast. Everything on the menu looked absolutely delicious and it was hard to decide what to order. They have weekly specials as well. Our waitress Susie was an absolute sweetheart and made our entire experience memorable. That being that we had asked her for some more water and by the time she came back around, someone else had already stopped by and filled up our glasses. She apologized for the delay by giving us a free chocolate chip cookie and it was the best damn cookie I've had in a long time. She went above and beyond for something that wasn't a big deal, but we appreciated the thought. I'd definitely come back here if I'm near the area.
