Highly recommend Buckeye Harley. Fantastic people, great events, even better sales and service staff!!! Only local Dayton dealer I trust.

September 7, 2023 RoadGlide rental
JoeandKari C.

September 6-8, 2023 - are the actual dates that I was in the dealership... I rented a Harley Davidson Roadglide a month in advance to go riding with my stepfather (rides if it's above 45°) on his 87th birthday. The rental was handled through EagleRider, with rental agreement and check out/processing done through the dealership specifically with the employee, Michael. Michael (Yingst/Hingst) made the (EagleRider) rental process/pick up extremely easy and a few days later the return/drop off process, just as easy and seamless/smooth. Thank you! While at the dealership, on several occasions, we interacted with Teresa. She was extremely helpful and even pointed out some sales/closeout clothing items. My wife picked up some clothing the day that I picked up the rental Road Glide. And I ended up buying a shirt and jacket the day we returned the Road Glide. Teresa, thank you for also pointing out a couple of bike events occurring during our stay.

I've gotten a Bluetooth setup on my helmet, a JM amp setup and I just had to come back to get my GTS stereo flashed and the software on my amp upgraded. All the videos and comments that I had seen, there were two winners. The Harley Bombox II system or the J&M Rocker system. Well since I have a J&M headset in my helmet, I knew the quality of the brand, so I started looking online. I looked at the 400 watt 4 speaker system first because of the price. Then seen a tab for local dealers, which connected me to Sierra Electronics. I looked at the price and seen that for the price I would pay for a 400 watt system on the J&M website I could purchase the 700 watt system from Sierra Electronics. I called them on Friday the the 24th of August and talked to someone who said that they had installed one on a bike just like mine and if I wanted to take a ride, I could listen to it to see if I liked it. It was a beautiful day so I took a ride. I got there and was greeted by the kindest people that I had ever met. They fired up the bike and I heard the system. I WAS BLOWN AWAY! I knew I had found my system. I was going to purchase the system and take it back with me, so I was making room in my bike for the boxes, when the owner said that they could flash the system for me before I left. I didn't know you could do that before the system was put in, so I said yes. Then the Tech person said that he could put it in for me and have it done in about an hour and a half. I DID NOT EXPECT THIS!!. I was sure that I would have to put it in myself when I got home. I asked if he was serious and he said that he was. So I had it done. The owner then asked if I was hungry because it was lunch time and I said that I was going to get a bite on the way back to Powell when he said that he would take me to a restaurant in town and drop me off so that I could eat and give him a call and he would come back and get me. And he was true to his word. I got back to the shop and about another 20 minutes later the bike was done and I was on my way. And with the price of the product and the install and flash of the system still kept me under the price of the original 700 watt system if I would have ordered it online. So I would HIGHLY recommend this company and its personnel for any work that you may need done. This was a company that was getting ready to leave for a show in Knoxville and was packing up and still took the time to get a bike done for someone that just dropped in to hear the sound of the system. Not only did that but took me to a restaurant for lunch and then pick me up as I waited. Who does that! THEY DO! This is the kind of people that work for this company. I can never thank them enough for all their generosity and help in my quest. They made me feel right at home. I will surly use this company for my purchase of sound equipment. Sierra Electronics is a class act. You won't find a company anywhere around Columbus that would treat you this way. My hats off to this company... Oh and if you stop in make sure you see Reggie the guard hound! LOL.

0 Stars. Avoid these mechanics…read more Took my bike in for a diagnostic, but didn't authorize any work. I wanted to see how much the fix would cost before sinking the money into it. Got a phone call two weeks later slapping me with a $400 bill for work they'd gone ahead and done. Unethical but it was within my price range, so I shrugged it off and picked up the bike. It quit on me 45 minutes after riding it. I called them back and they were surprised and came and picked it up. Said they'd get on it first thing Monday. Two weeks later I hadn't heard back from them, so I called them up. "Oh yeah, your bike is ready, man. We rode it around this morning, rides great." Went back to pick it up. As the owner's son was pulling my bike out of the garage, it started literally gushing fuel out of the line. Turns out the inline fuel filter they'd added had been installed incorrectly. But rather than install it correctly, they just took it out. This took them a week to do before calling me and saying once again that it was ready. So I picked it up a second time. The bike quit on me again after about 30 minutes of riding. Wouldn't fire up at all. I was really beginning to question how honest they were being about riding my bike around with no problems. So I took it back again for round three. The owner said he would personally look at the petcocks that day and get back to me. Two weeks later -- still no call. So I called them back. The owner hadn't looked at the petcocks and seemed confused about the bike. He said he'd look at it that day. After a few more days of me calling back, he finally reported that the bike seemed good to him, that it started up fine and he was riding it around. So I went back to get it a third time. He started the bike up for me and I noticed that a LOT of exhaust was coming out of the bike and it was backfiring/popping quite a bit even as it idled, also that the idle was extremely unstable, just chugging away like it was trying to catch its breath. He said, "Yeah, you're running a little rich, but nothing major." I straight up asked him, "Do you think this bike is okay?" He said "Yeah, you're fine." Nope. The bike died on me again after about an hour of riding, (and burned over half a tank of fuel in that time). This time I gave up and took it to another shop. Turns out the bike is actually in bad shape -- the carbs are unbalanced and all out of whack. Interesting thing is, Iron Hogz's original work with my bike involved cleaning, rebuilding, and balancing the carbs. Long story short, Iron Hogz did work on my bike without permission, charged me anyway, majorly screwed up the job they did, neglected to prioritize fixing their mistake, actually never fixed their mistake, and sent me away with a dangerous bike situation three times. I mean, come on... if you're trying to give a "ready" bike back to a customer and its spraying fuel all over the place... your shop has serious problems.

My wife was new to ATV riding so we figured it would be a good starter machine. The first time we took it out the belt broke. CCM paid for the labor and charged me for the belt. OK cool. The second time we took it out, it overheated. The fan had gone out, it was apparent. I told them what the issues was. A few days later they called and told me what I told them,,,the fan was out. Then they told me it would be approximately 1200$ to fix! I tried to work with them on trading it back in towards a new machine. They offered half of what I just paid a few months ago. I went to pick it up and they tried to charge me a ridiculous diagnostic fee (200+). I told them it was diagnosed when it got here. They waived it and I took my machine home, I bought the part on the internet and fixed it in 15 minutes for 100$. They wanted to charge me 1200$ for a 100$ part and 15 minutes of labor. Mind you, I've NEVER worked on an ATV in my life. This place would rather screw you than create a lifetime customer. BAD business. Very disappointed.

So we made an appt for May 16th to go get the oil changed and the tire put on. We dropped the bike off the evening of May 15th and at drop off was told the tire should be there the May 16th or the following day Friday. Made a call Friday to see if it was in, they said no it would be in Monday or tuesday. Called again this past Monday the 20th and the tire still hadn't come but looked it up and said it would be here today Thursday and if I got there early enough we would have the bike back. Well here we are and the tire came, but it's the front tire!!! They ordered the wrong tire I'm thinking they didn't even order the original one now. So now we're going ahead and getting the front put on cause we were going to in a few weeks anyways but then we had to go ahead and get the other tire now since they ordered the wrong tire. And now we don't have a bike for a holiday weekend and it'll be delayed because of the holiday. EDIT TO ADD Now the tire is there. Has been there for 2 days and of course the only mechanic they have hasn't been in on the the only 3 days he works. This place is a frickin joke. Idk how you can run a business basically holding peoples stuff hostage. 2 weeks. They have had our bike for. And it's been 20 days since we even ordered the intial tire. What the hell are you going to do to make this right Joe?!?! What a frickin joke. ETA. Now we found someone to come get the bike and tires but it's completely torn apart and they won't let someone come get it so we can have our bike back after 2 weeks.
