I took the Ferris mower that we purchased new at Boone's 20+ years ago. I asked to have the engine…read moreresealed to stop the oil leaks that had developed and to fix the linkage on the carburetor that had fallen off. They kept the mower for several weeks, then called to tell us all of the repairs would cost over $1200. We were told the carburetor had to be replaced because linkage was not available and that the engine needed disassembled to replace the seals. We reluctantly agreed to have the service performed. Weeks later we get a call from them stating that the mower had no compression and the engine needed replaced. Mind you, their parts man drove it into their repair shop while I was there to drop it off. I told them nevermind, I would came and get it. I brought it home and checked the compression. It showed 90 lbs. on my gauge. I found that it had no spark so I replaced both coils. I put a clip on the carburetor from a Dorman replacement kit. We used the mower the remaining mowing season. We were charged over $500 by Boone's for basically an incompetent diagnosis. They put much more effort in trying to get us to buy a new mower than in attempting to repair ours. We are still using the mower after getting the oil leaks repaired by a very competent service tech at half the cost, including a new carburetor. The fuel shutoff solenoid quit working recently and that required a new carb. We have been very loyal customers to Boone's for over 20 years. That loyalty has come to an end.

My Father, who I recommended to buy a Stihl chain saw where I bought mine at Boone's, had a bad…read moreexperience. His saw was only a few months old (600-700 dollar saw) and had a no spark, no start issue. Since he's been a mechanic for years and works on chain saws as well seen it was not getting spark and took it to Boones for warranty for the coil or whatever it needed. When he got there a technician checked for spark and got none. My father left it there thinking it was under warranty and when he went pick it up 2 weeks later they wanted to charge him 48.00. I went with him to talk to a customer service person and the technician, and the technician confirmed he got no spark when he checked it initially but said at that time his spark tester was faulty. I stated, "so you made a mistake," he said yes, but the customer service rep still made my father pay for the service. He stated the fuel was bad after he smelled it...the fuel in the same container was used by me on my father's second chainsaw, his Husqvarna the day he took it in and had no fuel issues. Especially since it was the expensive premixed fuel he had just purchased at another power tool store in Germantown. I told my father to go ahead and pay it, He said he won't go back there again on matter of principle. I bought 2 chainsaws and blower there, and other chains, seals and such. I will not go back either and believe they were dishonest and an older customer shouldn't be put through the drama. Interestingly right after my father bought his Husqvarna chainsaw the coil did go out, over year ago, he took it to Ness's where he bought it and they fixed it for free, and the coil was bad. I am not an advocate for Ness's near Germantown, but my father now is...they treat customers right at least. Boones states they have over 53 years' experience, I just wonder if that means those dealing with customers, none of them looked over 30, I could be wrong.

Jenna Victor is the "sales representative" that my husband and I dealt with. This is the most rude,…read moreill mannered person that I've ever met! When we arrived to purchase our equipment, we were directed to her desk by a different sales rep. When we approached her desk, she didn't introduce herself to me and didn't speak to my husband, just sat at her desk with a laptop and started typing! The only time she spoke to my husband was to ask for his ID then for him to sign for the equipment . She never even acknowledged that I was there!! At any rate, it was not a good experience for myself or my husband. ** Follow-up**. I have spoken with a Koenig representative about my experience and have been assured that the issues are being addressed. Also, they have apologized for the bad experience and are working to make sure that experiences like myself and my husband had will not be repeated in the future.

I recently purchased a used JD X350 lawn tractor with added snow plow and tire chains. The tractor arrived at our home just prior to the snow storm. So I thought we were set for the incoming snow. Went out to use the JD this morning to plow snow. First thing the choke was sticking and hard to work to start the tractor. It was my understanding they checked everything to make sure of operability. Finally got choke to work and tractor started. Went to adjust new snow blade height on runners and one cotter pin was all bent up and difficult to remove. Then very first try to push snow down the drive, one of the new tire chains appears to have broken and chain fell off. So right now I'm very perturbed. We live out in the country and about an hour from their store. And now we are looking at our drive with 15 inches of snow and a tractor not prepared to open it up. I just wanted to update the review and score. Koenig contacted me first thing this morning after they opened from the storm. They sent a technician out to check things out and correct any issues. I am not only happy with Koenig in Tipp City but impressed with their response to my problem. I will continue doing business with them, and highly recommend them if you need John Deere or other yard equipment in the brands they carry. Thank you Koenig for your quick response.

So we made an appt for May 16th to go get the oil changed and the tire put on. We dropped the bike off the evening of May 15th and at drop off was told the tire should be there the May 16th or the following day Friday. Made a call Friday to see if it was in, they said no it would be in Monday or tuesday. Called again this past Monday the 20th and the tire still hadn't come but looked it up and said it would be here today Thursday and if I got there early enough we would have the bike back. Well here we are and the tire came, but it's the front tire!!! They ordered the wrong tire I'm thinking they didn't even order the original one now. So now we're going ahead and getting the front put on cause we were going to in a few weeks anyways but then we had to go ahead and get the other tire now since they ordered the wrong tire. And now we don't have a bike for a holiday weekend and it'll be delayed because of the holiday. EDIT TO ADD Now the tire is there. Has been there for 2 days and of course the only mechanic they have hasn't been in on the the only 3 days he works. This place is a frickin joke. Idk how you can run a business basically holding peoples stuff hostage. 2 weeks. They have had our bike for. And it's been 20 days since we even ordered the intial tire. What the hell are you going to do to make this right Joe?!?! What a frickin joke. ETA. Now we found someone to come get the bike and tires but it's completely torn apart and they won't let someone come get it so we can have our bike back after 2 weeks.
