My elderly mother had been taking her car to the dealership for years, and many times she would end up spending hundreds of dollars per visit. Too many times, the problem wasn't even fixed. The final straw was when I was going to have to take her car back to have the dealership re-repair something that, with a bottle of glue and a lot of luck, I could have repaired it myself, but I wanted it done right. That really bothered me that, at the very least, the dealership couldn't even pull off a moderately adequate job on the repair! In addition, the dealership was quoting me an astronomical price for an additional repair. So I decided to go to Schmidt Auto Care. I had heard a lot of great things about this business, and I was hoping for the best, and I wasn't' disappointed. Not only did they do a GREAT JOB on the repairs, but the price was very fair. I appreciate that the mechanic took the time to explain things to me and treated me like I was intelligent enough to understand. I was recommended Schmidt by a close friend of mine. I called down to set up a time for them to look at my vehicle. They called later that day and gave me the best option and answered every question that I had. They didn't promise anything but gave me a rough estimate of when it could be done and I wasn't expecting any miracles as I come from the service industry and get how the stars don't always align. They have been able to get an alignment issue fixed that three other places have said was fixed only to return. There has been zero reoccurrence since they did the work. Down to earth people that can talk as simple or detailed as you need them too. This is the 1st time I used this business. I brought my 2016 Nissan Murano for a 30k mile service. I can here because of a recommendation, they were very professional in writing up my car, I was impressed with the office and building. I had thought it was a smaller operation. My Murano was ready as promised. The bill was lower then it would have been at the dealer. They had already included a military discount because of the veterans plate I had. I was needing a oil change and my ac recharged. I got online and found that Schmidt Auto Care was close to me. And was rated to be good shop. So I went to see about taking care of my auto need and found that they was great place. They have a lounge if you have to wait for your auto. And they are kid and pet friendly, have toys in the lounge for the kids and a pets welcome sign. Yes it's a great place, friendly staff and didn't have long wait for my car. Great place. I was preparing for a trip to Georgia in my Honda Odyssey and was needing roof storage to haul my family's stuff. I called and spoke to Mike about having them install a roof rack. Schmidt Auto Care is wonderful. The office and garage are both extremely clean and organized. All of the people working there are very friendly and Knowledgeable. We had to replace our ac lines and they even brought my husband and I to see where the lines were leaking. They explained how the leaks likely started. They explained how the process for replacing them worked thoroughly. They are great people. I found my Jeep with a puddle under it late on a Sunday night. Called a couple other shops in the area who said they could look at by the end of the week. I called Schmidt auto care and was told they could look at it on Tuesday but if I could get it to them maybe sooner. I dropped it off around 9 and picked up the same day before 5.
