Stopped by this place for the first time last year. It was referred to me with a very high recommendation, so the woman I was seeing at the time and I went in (she had been there several times before). For work I had been forced to wear khaki's as part of the my job attire and I had continued to wear them out of habit for a couple years afterwards. I literally owned one pair of jeans I had purchased at Walmart and decided to see what The Buckle had to offer. The irony of a guy named Jake wearing khakis for years was not lost on me (or any of my customers, apparently). My date and I were immediately greeted as we entered the store. We walked up to the front counter to talk to the woman standing there and one of the guys on the floor walked over to listen to why we were there. It wasn't that busy, so we got the attention of both. We explained that I was in dire need of some jeans and the guy on the floor was quick to offer me some suggestions. They have a neat jeans breakdown near the front counter that explains the differences in the cuts on the jeans (I noticed it the 2nd time I was in there). Instead, the guy grabbed a few choices and ushered me into the changing room. Now, I've got to say something about these jeans. One of them is branded as Jake jeans. That sounds perfect for me, right? Well, those are cut very narrow in the groin area. My junk wouldn't fit into these jeans! I dunno who this "Jake" guy is that these are modeled after, but he is giving Jakes everywhere a bad name and starting rumors that we all have small junk! Okay, side rant over. I ended up finding a style of jeans that both my date and the guy helping agreed looked good on me (I'm a terrible judge of that). I've gotten so many compliments on how my butt looks in these jeans it is almost comical. Every woman I meet seems to love them! That being the case, I went in a while later and spoke to a different woman at the front counter who was kind enough to show me their website so I could choose some different colors of the same kind of jeans. These aren't terribly cheap. Coming from someone who only ever had a pair of Walmart jeans, these were far more expensive (around $80). Still, I can't put a price on how well received these look on me. The guy helping us was spot on! I don't walk by the part of VRC very often, but if he is working again, I will definitely stop in to see what else he can do to help out my wardrobe. Oh, and later on, the wonderful woman I was dating ordered me some of their clothes. We stopped seeing each other before I even got them. I spoke to their customer service and they charged a $5 fee, but agreed to take them back AND send me the return label to do so (so the $5 was a partial freight payment, but these would have Buckle twice that to send back). The manager at this store needs to be fired for how she treats here fellow employees.. I would give more stars, but the manager takes away 4 of them. Besides the manager, everything else is good.... read more

Was a fan. No longer am. Went to try and get a different size of jean due to the ones I purchased being to small and because of an employee error in not taking down the right name or number I'm having to discard 150 dollars worth of jeans because they are too small. When I asked to speak with the supervisor, the employee there said she was the supervisor which she was clearly not. Or at least shouldn't be due to the lack of professionalism towards the customer. She was extremely pompous and rude. Blonde hair and big eyes. Easy to spot her. Wouldn't shop there anyways. read more

Very disappointed in this store. Friend of mine went in with some jeans they got from there to get fixed with their loyalty program and ended up trying to charge them close to $100! I will never go back to this store. read more

I have been a fan of The Buckle for the past 15 years and love the extensive selection of denim that they carry. The salespeople tend to be trained to be overly aggressive when dealing with customers because they work on commission, but if you can find someone who really knows their stuff and can help you find the perfect fit and cut of denim, you're golden. They can normally find ANY person, regardless of size or shape, your perfect fit of denim in just a few pairs of jeans! They are spendy but they offer layaway and it helps seeing they only carry a few of each size, making items exclusive. If you want the hottest clothing in town, The Buckle is the first place to head to for denim, shoes and cute tops for girls and guys (Ages teen-adult). $$$ read more

Worst customer service ever. Not going back to this location! I have never been so frustrated before. Cathie is amazing. My friend and I came in and we were just browsing. We wandered around the store a little and nobody said anything to us-then we bumped into Cathie. She asked what we were looking for and when we said we weren't looking for anything particular she was happy to show us around. She pulled jeans for us to try and a bunch of cute tops and accessories to pair with them. Although I didn't find anything today she signed me up for their "fit me" program and encouraged me to set an appointment to come back and work with her again when I have a little more free time. She was sweet, knowledgable, and so fun to work with. I highly recommend her as a stylist. If you like the buckle brand and you're in Eugene, go see Cathie; you'll be glad you did! read more

I came in mostly just looking. I had an idea of what I wanted a new pair of jeans, some accessories and shoes. I wandered through the store just browsing and I was greeted with a big "hellllloooo!" Cathie was there and ready to help me! She had me in a fitting room and pulled me some awesome outfits. I came out to use the long mirror and check out what she picked. Several times other employees commented on her picks and pairings. I totally thought she was a manger because her coworkers kept coming to her for advice and recommendations. It caught me off guard when Cathie made the comment that she needed to ask her manager if they could get what I was wanting (since they didn't have my correct size in store). The way she holds herself and the way other employees came to her wanting advice really shows a strong leadership role. I absolutely loved Cathie and want to be her friend in real life because of how she made me feel like family from the get go. She is one of a kind and is seriously a great asset to the buckle store! Many kudos and good vibes from this lady! Thank you so much Cathie for all your help, I will be seeing you again! Also I loved the fact she offered me not only one way to pay but let me know about the card they offer and the lay-o-way options. You made my trip an awesome experience. read more
