I was more than happy to shop while she looked over my items. The store is bright and clean without too many cluttered racks or shelves of knickknacks. Each clothing item is hand-picked and selected for sustainability and eco-friendliness, so I wouldn't recommend coming in expecting to pay the same prices you would for clothing or toys at Walmart or Target. The great thing about consigning is that if you choose to take store credit, you will get a higher value for the items you sell. I was very pleased to hear this, and more than willing to purchase other consignment items for my own daughter. I love the idea of consigning and thrifting rather than purchasing things new whenever I can, and this is a great way to do that while also supporting small business. I was so blown away by the selection of items and the customer service that I have since been back twice since my first visit. The store is nice and clean (as it should be, especially since it's a baby/children's store). The staff was so welcoming, engaging and super friendly. I had recently purged my children's closets, so I had quite the load to bring in. I had another appointment, so I just left it with them. They made me fill out some paperwork and then I left. While I was out and about, they called me back rather quickly and let me know that the quote was ready. When I returned, they gave me something in the ballpark of $90. Not too shabby, I must say! This is a good chance to make some cash and whatever they didn't take, I dropped it off at Goodwill before I went home. Things to note: - if you stay in the store, they will prioritize your baskets vs someone that drops it off (as previously mentioned, I did this, but I dropped it off on a Monday morning and I got called back pretty quickly) - they will pay you CASH or store credit OUAC is definitely a spot I will pass by before I go to Goodwill. For example, I saw a ladies blouse with cute pink flamingos on it, a baby sleeper with cute sheep on it and some cute dishes with Mr. and Mrs. on them. While the items here are endearing and they have many fun patterns and colors, I think a little bit of Mud Pie in the wardrobe or the home goes a long way. Mud Pie is a chain and the store definitely has that corporate feel to it compared to the other locally owned shops in the Outer Banks Mall.

It's very organized and bright. I love the atmosphere of the storr. We came to find some pajamas since my son had outgrown all of his size 2T Jammie's. Carter's always has the cutest pajamas!! His favorites are the ones that feature dinosaurs and trucks on them. So that's what we got, new 3T jammies that my son is super excited about.
