CampsRUs is great for kids that aren't super into sports and competition, and prefer other activities. Each day is different. They go to a nearby town pool 1x a week, and 1-2x a week have a fun trip. This year they went to White Post Farms, Adventureland, Bounce, laser tag, bowling, Bellmore Playhouse, and a bunch of other places. Trips are different for each age group. The camp is run out of a school, so they have a playground and gym, as well as classes in stem, arts & crafts, etc. One day they had a slime truck come, another day the NY Islanders came, another day was a petting zoo with pony rides. I love that the camp has a Facebook message group and sends pictures every day of what your kids are doing. They are family run, and seem to really care.

These coaches and classes are so much fun for the kids while also teaching them so much about every sport. The BEST!!!

At that age, it's very hard to keep their attention but the coaches here are very patient and attentive. We thought Coach Nick was great. And we have noticed some improvement with my nephew's soccer skills. He can now run and kick the ball with no problem. Sometimes he even gets the ball into the net. It's a great 45-minute class and he enjoyed going every Sunday. The coaches are so great with the kids and the activities are very engaging. The parents are asked to participate so we've gotten quite the workout during these classes. I love that the classes are indoors, and they have benches to sit on, so you can watch the kids during class. I'll be honest though, the first time we came here we got lost. The signage for this facility could use some work. The building is shared by several athletic programs and the entrance for Lil Athletes is off on the side street. You can easily bypass it. The facility itself is large and there are plenty of room for kids to run around. It's a great program and helps younger kids improve on their socialization skills while getting a fun workout. We've already signed him up for another session this summer.

There are certified teachers who understand exactly what the students strengths and weaknesses are and the staff is also very kind and polite. The founders of this program, Mr. Gupta snd Mrs. Gupta, are always willing to go out of their way and talk to the parents about any concerns. The program at Smart Brain had really helped my daughter as I am noticing an improvement in her school work as well!

I had enrolled my child to attend their abacus classes and was told by Ms. Gupta (co-owner) that the classes only have a minimun of four students, but when my child showed up for the first day of class they had 10+ students in the class. Now this is my child's first day, apparently she was lost in the crowd, as the classes are for only 1 hour, how can the instructor go around teaching so many students and especially if the are not on the same page (as some kids are ahead since they started awhile back). Now the second class which was a week later had the same issue. This time I asked to speak to Ms. Gupta, but her husband Mr. Gupta was the one to answer my questions. I told him frankly that Ms. Gupta had lied to me about the headcount in the classes. He apparently did not care and said that is no issue. I told him it's my child's first day now second day, since she is new to the program, the administration should stick to their words given to the parents before the enrollment of the child. He kept getting pissed off as I kept telling him You Lied. He say's I don't consider it a Lie. I told him its not honesty. There should be transparency between the educational institute and the parents when it comes to education for your kids. Apparently Smart Brain America has violated that protocal and trust. Another issue I had was they suddenly change class timings to when ever they want without communicating these necessary changes to the parents. I showed up with my kids one day for my child's scheduled class, I rang their door bell, apparently no respone. I even placed a phone call and left a message. After waiting there for almost 40 minutes, the owner show's up and say's 'no class today'. That was it. Smart Brain America had failed to communicate such a change to me and has been a disappointment to my child. The Abacus teacher Ms. K is the only genuine, caring and praiseworthy teacher they have there. Otherwise - stay away from Smart Brain America. They have not issued my refund. They lack communication issues and do not believe in trust. Written by A Very Concerned Mom.
