I feel like this is the local hang out in Hurricane,. When you come in, they have a popcorn maker for you to enjoy a little bag while you are shopping. They have all sorts of home improvement items and cute house decorations. They do have a nice selection of barbecue supplies. Always love shopping at the various location of Ace Hardware when traveling and this one did not disappoint. First off the employees were continuously asking if I needed help, which I took up on one when I couldn't reach the dragon fly ornament in hanging from the display. ZION TRAVELERS Beware anything you buy here you CAN NOT return at your local ace. Which would have been nice to know. We were traveling to Zion and it's the closest one located we bought some items we didn't end up needing (unused and still in box and had the receipt). So we tried returning to our local ace and were told you have to return at this specific ace since they are the only one to carry it and because each franchise is different they can't take it. No where on the receipt does it say we can't return based on location just says needs receipt and unused (see photo) . So we learned the hard way and they customer service is no help. Will never buy from ace again. You are better off going to Walmart and have no problem with returns. read more

This is THE ace hardware. Grew up visiting my grandparents down here and this is one of those stores you look for any excuse just to go back to. The new store surprised me, usually the sequels are hit or miss but man did this ace hit. Staff are always nice and the feeling stayed the same. We needed to fix a camp chair we had for a soccer tournament we were watching over the weekend. Since we are from out of town we didn't have any tools in the van so we just brought the whole chair into the store to make sure we got the right parts. We were able to find help pretty quickly and the employee helped us find the right bolt and nut and helped secure it to the chair. Total purchase price less than a dollar and we didn't even have to buy any tools they did all the fixing for us. We grabbed a few other things just to support the business. The cashier was also very friendly so this place is a good location to go to if you need anything. read more

This is old school hardware meets woolworths/Kmart. So basically anything you need and more is in this place. First visit is just trying to find where everything is located. As you cruise the isles it becomes apparent that you could spend 1-2 hours roaming the place. We found what we needed and will definitely be back. It's 30 minutes back to Home Depot in Washington. So the small up charge is worth it. Lots of staff here too. I am sure you can and will find what your looking for in this store. read more

I totally love shopping in this Ace Hardware. They carry so much more than just hardware. Their Christmas decorations are second to none. I try to check in every year and see what they have now. Do yourself a favor and go ask Keith the assistant manager if you're like me and totally clueless and just need help. He was so kind very helpful. Even walked out to my bike rack on my RV and helped me set up the racket something, see I don't even know what it was But he help me secure my bike and took time out of this day to do so! This Ace has one of the most complete selections of merchandise of any Ace Hardware I've ever been to. They also have the most helpful staff of ANY store I've ever been in. While I'm still upset about our late night visit last year, I still shop here. For the most part, everyone is super friendly and helpful... Especially the cashiers and the lady in paint. The prices are high.... but can't really complain because the competition is 20 minutes away. Kids & hubby love the popcorn. read more

Larger & greater selection than your average 'hardware store,' Hurst's even sells firearms & ammo, in addition to camping/fishing/hunting supplies, the expected hardware store items, and they even have a yard & garden section selling plants, fertilizer, lawn ornaments, etc. A great & much-needed business in Hurricane. read more

Always like to support my local Ace and keep away from the big box retailers. Was in town this past fall to check out the national parks in the area and needed a quick replacement nut for one of our bicycles. The wife and I were camping at Zion and were looking rather ragged that day (perhaps missed a shower or two as well). The staff in the store was very clearly concerned with our presence in the store and we were constantly watched, followed and asked if we needed help repeatedly as we browsed the store. An elderly man near the light fixtures quickly found my replacement nut but as i walked away looking for propane canisters he says on his walkie talkie "that 27 is headed to 16" or something to that effect. Looking up i see i'm on the aisle he is talking about. Than a younger man wearing tan t-shirt and name tag but no vest walks up to us near the back packs and asked if "we are finding everything ok". After saying "yes, thank you", he fiddles aimlessly with the merchandise on the shelf near us until we leave. Clearly this location has had issues with shrink and theft but this was blatant discrimination by paranoid employees.Travelers beware! Prices are definitely higher than surrounding stores. Admittedly, it is occasionally worth the convenience. However, I recently purchased some Christmas lights on clearance. Apparently, they were the wrong color (warm white instead of cool white). I tried to return them with the receipt within the week. NO WHERE near the Christmas lights was there a sign that said clearance was not returnable. Additionally, I wasn't trying to get more than I paid for them- one wouldn't think it would be difficult to resell them for the price I paid either. I guess common decency and customer service comes after the bottom line. It is worth noting their paint department is better than most. read more

Best service in town! Every time I go into Ace I ring help quickly and they know what they are talking about. The check out lines are always quick and my kids love the free pop corn. It's an added bonus I can look at there awesome gun selection, I buy all my guns here. read more

Yes, it's a hardware store...and a fishing store...and a hunting supply store...and they have a garden center. But, this is also the main place to go household and Christmas shopping in Hurricane! Joe and Bucky (the managers) want to know what you need...if you are in there for any length of time staff will approach you. Dave repairs dull chainsaw chains and knows every little hardware item in the store. Surprisingly, this tourist town store is not overpriced...they are the center of mixed-needs shopping for locals and keep prices low. You will find: R.V. supplies, camping everything, fishing licenses, Old Yankee candles, Dept. 56 Villages, Corning ware cooking sets, a toy department, office supplies, full-sized cement water fountains....everything you can think of is in this one little store. read more

This is an exceptionally staffed store. There are a good mix of new as well as seasoned staff that can help with almost any project. The selection of items is always of better quality than the cheap stuff you get down the street at WalWorld. Best of all, there is always someone to help you with questions and ideas of fixes you are facing. Even though I pay a little bit more here than at Wal-Mart, I will shop here every time to bounce ideas off of a knowledegable staff rather than be frustrated with the hard to find, know nothing staff at Wal-Mart. read more
