They advertise as being open "Friday Nights, Weekends and Holidays"...they are not. They advertise as being open Friday 6:00 PM to Midnight, Saturday, 2:00 PM to Midnight, Sunday 2:00 PM to Midnight, and Holidays. They are not. My dog had an emergency, I called to let them no I was on my way, when a recording said they were closed. This was 7:00 PM on a Saturday. My dog passed away later that night, after I rushed him to Blue Pearl, Levittown. Had he been seen that earlier would he have survived, I'll never know. All I know is I took my dog to an "Emergency Vet" during their listed hours of operation and they were closed. I wish they would stop advertising as an emergency "after hours" vet. We had a great experience here. We ended up bringing my newly-diabetic dog in very late on a Sunday night. My regular vet had dropped the ball and sadly, my dog needed emergency care. He was immediately admitted and stayed for three nights. Dr Jackson and team got him situated on insulin and gave us very clear instructions for home care. She gave us the very cost effective advice to get Novolin N from Walmart and was clear about what syringes he would need as well as what follow up care. We had some struggles once he was home and my son called multiple times with questions. Dr Jackson was incredibly kind and helpful. While emergency vet care isn't cheap, I felt that the cost was fair. Thanks so much! read more

I had to take our beloved cat here last Sunday. We were scheduled to see our New Hope vet Monday for euthanasia, but she clearly could not make it another day. The response was immediate. I drove there, and the woman who helped me (sorry I didn't get the name) was incredibly compassionate and kind to both Peanut and to me. We took our 14 year old dog here on Tuesday night. He was throwing up all foam like liquid. The X-ray showed his stomach flipped and due to his age he wouldn't survive the surgery and he was in A lot of pain. We had to make the hardest decision to put him down. The doctor showed no compassion at all and looked very annoyed when we kept asking questions. Not a caring person to be a vet and I hope we never have to experience this again. I've had multiple negative experiences with this vet. They claim to be an emergency office, but have the worst hours. They were closed the night my cat ended up dying and I had to drive her 30+ min across town. My other cat had a severe reaction to flea and tick medication. We took her here, got her "treatment" but it only got worse from there. My youngest cat had to be seen recently for an emergency, and the vet that saw us had such an attitude and deemed this a "non-emergency" before even examining him. I can't rave enough about the compassion and dedication of Dr. Jackson and Ingrid (the receptionist/vet tech) at Bucks County VETS. I rushed a 5 week old foster kitten named Bear there on 5/11/24. Dr. Jackson immediately assessed Bear, put him on a warming pad, then spoke with me to get a history. While I filled out paperwork, Dr. Jackson began treatment on Bear, and Ingrid prepared a written estimate. Bear was critically ill so Dr. Jackson kept him at the hospital, feeding him every 3 hours, 24 hours per day. Dr. Jackson has contacted me each morning and evening with updates, even sending me a cute little picture. When Bear's health deteriorated, Dr. Jackson was able to insert an IV line into his tiny little leg. Then, she had to start feeding him every 1.5 hours around the clock. I can't imagine how tired she and her staff were with the amount of care Bear required. My little foster kitten is still with Dr. Jackson, 5/16/24, and I know he is getting the best care possible. Don't let their website fool you! We kept calling their phone number but got no answer and a message that their voicemail was full. The building looks run down and unkept. Their website says they open at 6pm on Friday's, but we stood in the lobby until almost 6:30pm ringing the bell (sign on the door says someone is "ALWAYS" there). Could hear dogs barking, but no one was there. No vehicles in the parking lot, several packages that were delivered just sitting on the floor in the lobby, inside lights were dim, computers off, etc. An employee finally pulled into the parking lot and eventually answered the door, just to inform us that they were closed because there was no vet working. Thankfully, our pet was not critically ill or the situation could have been grave. How hard is it to update your voicemail or website to say emergency services are temporarily closed!? Do yourself and your pet a favor and go directly to CARES in Langhorne or BluePearl Emergency Pet Hospital in Levittown. The service was awesome, quick, and the staff was very professional! Dr. Jackson completely misdiagnosed my rabbit. Ultimately resulting in his death. When I got my bunny home from VETS he seemed pretty rough, but they encouraged me that he would get better. I made a follow up appointment with a vet in quakertown when he started to take a turn for the worse. This vet told me he needed to be put down immediately. His entire body was shutting down. What Dr. Jackson explained to me as "dizziness" was actually my poor bunny having seizures. I spent $500 and lots of tears for them to slowly kill him. If he had been diagnosed correctly he could have lived. After having to put down my rabbit I called VETS wanting to speak to Dr Jackson. I had a receptionist take a message. She did not have the decency to call me back. If you want your pet to live, do not go here. read more

Although they were not able to help my cat, I was pleased with the attention I received. The receptionist was kind and patient on the difficult phone call, and Dr. Jackson was compassionate and seemed knowledgeable, even questioning some of the regular doctor's diagnoses that didn't make sense to her. I just wish I'd gotten a chance to say goodbye (just in case) before she took him away. Also, there was a television blaring loudly both times I was in. I wish I could give this place ZERO STARS!!! Worst experience in a vets office I have ever had. My dog was having trouble breathing on Sunday night and we also noticed a large bump on the back of his neck( seemed like a cyst that burst). I spoke with a family friend who is our normal vet and asked what to do and she recommended to take him to an emergency vet. Unfortunately we decided to go to VETS in Warrington because it was close to our house, BIG MISTAKE! $700 later and NO ANSWERS!!! They took blood and x-rays and didn't reach any conclusions but sent us home with some medicine and told us to come back on Tuesday! Dr.Jackson was so incredibly rude and not compassionate towards my dog at all. We showed our vet the X-rays and she told us they were not helpful at all because they were from the wrong view! She quoted us 99 for the X-rays, but ended up doing 3 different views so it was almost $300!!! She also took blood and told us it would be in the next night. It is 3 days later and we had our vet call Dr.Jackson and they didn't even send the blood to the lab yet!!!! DO NOT GO HERE!!! read more

Unfortunately tonight I made the toughest decision ever, which was to put my beloved cat, Shadow, down. He suffered an extreme stroke causing him to be unresponsive and immobilized. Panicked, I immediately called around to see what emergency vet hospitals were open. Both the receptionist and the vet were understanding and gentle with us, knowing how upset we were. The vet gave us options on how I would like him to be put down, and needless to say my cat was pain free and comfortable the entire time. She also allowed us to stay as long as we wanted with him, which was very nice. I had a rough time saying my final goodbyes and I took about 40 minutes. The euthanasia and cremation together was $507. I honestly would have paid any amount. I'm very happy with my decision to come here. I can't wait to get my boy back on friday. read more

I need to tell you all how kind, generous, and helpful the ladies at Bucks County VETS are. A young female cat, who we named Rhona, came to our back door on Sunday. Other than being emaciated, she seemed to be in very good health. We started her on flea & tick meds, dewormers, spent a ton of money at PetSmart and set up our house to be her sanctuary. She was so friendly, so docile, and tolerant of our extremely anxious Jack Russell. They even started to coexist as friends within a day or so. Sadly, this morning, Thursday, Rhona appeared to have gone blind overnight. Her heart rate was slow and her ability or want to walk had diminished. I'm not sure how these ladies do what they do, but they keep a brace face and handle business. We had to put Rhona to sleep and they assured us we had done a nice thing for her and gave her a good home and lots of love in her last few days of life. read more

Yesterday afternoon I called my vet because my cat was obviously having some pain and symptoms of being sick. They told be that because he was going to the bathroom, it was not an emergency situation, and to make an appointment for tomorrow (today). This morning when we woke up, my boyfriend and I saw that our beloved cat was unable to move and looked like he was dying. We called this emergency service, and they let us know that it sounded like renal failure and would be 1500 to help him. 1500 dollars that they needed up front, and even if we brought him there and he was dying, without being paid up front they wouldn't be able to do anything for him. This was their words, not ours. Our vet doesn't open till 9, and at around 7:45, my cat Oliver died. Words can not express how sad I am, and how heartless this practice is. I'm angrier than I have been in a very long time. I understand that they want to limit the amount of unpaid bills they have, but to just let an animal die because we didn't have the full amount up front, makes no sense to me. Two years ago we used them because another cat of ours was rough housing and did something wonky to his leg. It was on new years eve, and they did fine work, though they never really found out what was wrong, just gave us some meds. We took him to our own vet to check up after. But now? I would never use them for anything again. read more

We brought our beloved Golden Retriever, Ruby, in for an evaluation at approximately 11:00 PM the night of Friday August 13th, 2021. Ruby had just turned 9 years old a week before and has always been a healthy dog. Ruby began coughing and appeared unsettled and since this was new for her, we decided to bring her into your facility for an evaluation instead of waiting until the next day to see our veterinarian. After reviewing Ruby's reason for visit and health history with an office assistant, we waited in an examination room to see you. Dr. Jackson arrived disheveled, unkempt, scattered and half asleep. We explained why we were there and answered her few questions. She examined Ruby for 90 seconds. She diagnosed her with kennel cough! My husband and I were both surprised to hear this diagnosis. We explained to her that she is not around other dogs, we do not board her, professionally groom her, or belong to a dog park. She does go to the beach occasionally to swim and run. The last time she had been to the beach was 3 weeks prior to our visit to the clinic. She said she could have picked it up then and there. You She said her exam was normal. We asked her to do a chest x-ray as we were concerned about a possible enlarged heart or something wrong with her lungs. You She said it was not necessary. I asked about blood work, again, she said it was not necessary. She initially prescribed three medications, one being an NSAID, even after I told her assistant and her TWICE that Ruby was already on an NSAID for joint stiffness. We both looked at her strangely and said she should not be on two NSAID's, her response was, 'Oh, sorry, I'm exhausted!" She looked exhausted, and it appeared we may have woken her up. We were incredibly surprised that since we were in an emergency clinic that the basic blood work and chest x-ray would have been done. Ruby was discharged with an antibiotic and pain medication. We were reassured that it was not serious and that she would be feeling better in a day or two. We got her home and within 15 minutes she coughed up bright red blood. I immediately called the clinic and after being placed on hold by the office staff was told that it was normal. That sometimes blood vessels break from coughing. We gave Ruby her medications that night and went to bed. Ruby was dead 8 hours later. We woke up to find her lethargic which quickly progressed to her violently and traumatically dying in our arms while bleeding from the mouth. We had to hurry and wake our daughter up so she would be able to hug her and say goodbye. I called the doctor that morning and told her Ruby died, and her response was, "Wow, hmm, sorry." Pets are family members, and it appears that her heart just isn't in her work or that she even cares? Her affect throughout our time there was completely flat. It seemed like she did not even like dogs when examining her. The facility (both indoors and outdoors) and your her staff (unqualified and rude) leave a lot to be desired. For an emergency service the care is atrocious and incompetent. THIS IS PART OF THE LETTER I WROTE TO DR. JACKSON BECASUE SHE WOULDN'T RETURN MY CALLS. I want you to know that I spoke with two veterinarians, BOTH, immediately said that Ruby probably had Hemangiosarcoma. Her breed, age and presenting symptoms along with coughing up blood should have warranted at least a chest x-ray and blood work. I am a registered nurse and I asked you for both of those that night. Ruby deserved better that night! If we would have known just how sick she was we could have decided to let her go peacefully instead of what she and our family went through that terrible morning! You should take the time and read your reviews; they are horrible with very many similar experiences. I will be letting as many people know, including local veterinarians, who refer their patients to you and to the state board on how you care for animals and operate your business. No wonder you look exhausted and make mistakes, with you being the only doctor on staff. One professional person on staff in an emergency clinic is atrocious. We needed to take our puppy here at midnight , he got into my asthma medicine. I called them To ask what I needed to do , they had no answers besides to call poison control, I did call paid the $65 to just be told that we need to take him to the Emergency Vet right away . I brought my baby there yesterday, she was diagnosed with severe stomatitis, the dr. was wonderful! She gave my girl a couple shots, & they did the trick! Her & my other girl have been playing, eating & having g a good time all morning. We were all traumatized yesterday, & I thought my newest addition to my family (Lady) would be traumatized for a a few days, but she is totally unfazed today. I have used this service three times as they are the only night time emergency vet around that at the time, I was aware of. . They charge you now about 200$ just to walk in and get seen. You have no clue what is wrong and your pet is injured or ill. You're scared that they could die. And you get no info until you pay first. What do you say to your kids..sorry I couldn't even find out what was wrong? I know they need to be paid. They deserve to be paid, and fairly. They have you in a hostage situation when you walk in. With that fee... you can barely afford any care after that. My dog had an allergic reaction to a spider bite years ago with severe facial swelling. 175$ walk in. A 700$ bill for the exam, a shot of Benadryl and steroid and 4 hours later I could pick him up. 700$ ... is that fair pricing? Thank God I had a credit card. 3 stars. Our take away from a recent visit in the middle of the night with a critically ill pup was Dr. Katrina Jackson feeds on the emotional hardships of others by price gouging. Thank God we followed our instincts and transferred our pet elsewhere after two days in her care. This vet told me that my dog needed $3k surgery, so we went ahead and had it done. Came back for a follow up and the Vet said that it was only getting worse. Offered another $4000 surgery and couldn't gaurentee a fix. We had scheduled today to have our dog put down. The vet who was going to do the procedure said that our dogs wounds were healing beautifully and that it isn't necessary to put him down. They also said he should've been sent home with anti anflamitory and pain medication and a higher dose of antibiotics.m. Dr Jackson sent us home with no medication other than 7 day course of antibiotics. Nothing to keep my dog still so his wounds could heal. I'm truly embarrassed to have even considered them and am also ashamed I chose them as it was an emergency on a Saturday. I would not recommend this vet to absolutley anyone. I will thank the vet,who isn't affiliated with this crack house of a vet, who reached out when they didn't have to and is now going to make my dog whole again. I have never hoped the worse for anyone in my life. But those involved at bucks VET are the first and hopefully the last I ever will. Shame on you. You should be absolutley ashamed of yourself and the joke you run and call your profession. If anyone finds themselves in a pinch with their dogs and needs a better emergency vet than this joke of an establishment you can reach out to me. This Saturday morning was like every Saturday morning but we had sunlight at 6am but then that Horrific Meow(cat owners know it), then the sound like that of a sack of Oranges falling down the stairs. Yes our cat laid there for several minutes, breathing but nothing more....suddenly UP & into the kitchen for some food and a drink. Then laid on the floor resting....even that wasn't normal but what do I know. I called the VET that my family has used since early 80s, spent easily 10Gs up till 12/2012....only to be told that they are closing in 15 minutes and I am under 3 miles away. It was because of the person on the phone with me, showing me that "CLOSING TIME" is and was the most important thing on their minds....what a disgrace. HELLO BUCKS COUNTY VETERINARY EMERGENCY TRAUMA SERVICES. From calling them, to leaving them....never met such courteous, understanding, patient and compassionate group of people. Doctor listened to us, making note of what we think happened, saw at the bottom of the steeps, her routine over the past week and so on. All the while, making sure we were ok and we couldn't want for anything, they wanted to make our stay comfortable. When the doctor came out to bring us up to speed, she was very informative, caring and well aware of the value of our cats life to us. The information she gave us, I'm jot sure how much worse it could have been but we totally understood everything. Being well informed doesn't make Bad News turn into Good News but it does make it easier to swallow. VERY GOOD PLACE TO TAKE YOUR LOVED PETS. Tonight was so rough, I took my beloved Cashmere to this vet, she had wet tail and I made the excruciatingly difficult decision to humanely euthanize her. Everyone was so kind here and really cared. They worked with me on the price and made sure she was comfortable. I am very, very sad but I know that they watched over her and made her final hours more bearable. read more

If I could I would give a big fat zero. I went to the horrible place last Saturday at 3AM because my very elderly cat 20+ years old suffered multiple seizures an hour before I went there and the decision was made, it was time to let our baby pass on to the next phase of his life. I went to VETS because it was the closest and the lady was initially very nice to me on the phone. She quoted me $185 for the euthanasia and exam by the doctor, that she said was already there. Upon arrival, it was dark, outdated, reeked of bleach and felt very creepy there. The same woman over the phone greeted us upon arrival and said "I'm so sorry" numerous times, that you could tell it was scripted and fake, not genuine. My poor kitty was hissing and crying because he was in pain and suffering and she was aware of this, but it was so important to her to get all our billing information before putting him in a room to settle him down. I said, he is getting very upset, can't we do this later? She said "I have to put it in to proceed." I asked where was the doctor? She said Dr. Johnson will be right in. The lady brought my cat into a 70's style room, complete with a 70's pattern quilted blanket, looked like it was someone's old robe. My cat was freaking out like you wouldn't believe, like he was trying to tell us something. I went out again after 15 minutes and said when is the Dr coming in? She said "she is coming now"...so she wasn't even on the premises when we got there. At that point, the lady asked for $368.00 for everything. I said you quoted me different over the phone. I said he isn't being cremated, so why so much? She said "for the doctor to come in, the euthanasia, etc and it would be more if cremated...and we are the cheapest around"...HUGE FAT FREAKING LIE!!!! I proceeded to give her our care credit card and she couldn't run it at first. She then said, "oh, I know the problem, I'll have to charge you $50 more because of the care credit fees ." I said "hell no, let's go to my husband...it didn't feel right, there were all these signs", my cat freaking out, no doctor and the crazy insane mega scam upcharge. The lady said, " you don't want to do this to him" trying to pull on my heart strings more and make me feel guilty for leaving. I said" how dare you and I'd rather him suffer just a bit longer to have it done right elsewhere. So glad I did! We drove to CARES in Langhorne..AMAZING!!! We were greeted with warm, open arms and felt a calming vibe by Celeste. She told us how handsome our kitty was and how sweet he was. She said she is going to get a tech out here immediately to get him comfortable right away. The tech named Tara, came out immediately and cuddled him with her caring arms and reassured us the Doctor would be right back with our cat to say our goodbyes. She took him in the back to place an IV and at that time Celeste took care of the financials. $121.00 for everything...the doctor's exam, euthanasia, paw print in clay for us and 2 children, 3 colored mesh bags with a piece of our kitty's fur and a cardboard casket for us to take him home. I couldn't believe it!!! We were almost ripped off by VETS OF WARRINGTON!!! We were then lead into a beautiful, cozy, private room with two comfy chairs and a sofa. Dr. Molly Mauer met us in the room with our kitty and asked if we wanted to hold him or place him on the table. We said the table, which she opened cabinet doors that conceiled the fold down table. They dimmed the lights for a calm atmosphere in the room. They had him in the blanket we brought him in and in delicate terms, told us she would give him medicine to relax him, and then medicine so he goes off to sleep peacefully. She said he may twitch or gasp, but he went right away, fast and peacefully. Considering the situation, it was a beautiful moment to see him out of pain, smile on his face and his eyes full of joy...bright and cheery if you know what I mean. They let us spend as much time as we wanted with him and then took him in his blanket, wrapped him up beautifully and placed him the sealed casket. Celeste told us she would get the paw prints out to us on Monday and that's when they arrived, just as she promised. She also told us about an animal bereavent group that meets there once a month. From start to finish, CARES gets 10 +++ stars where VETS OF WARRINGTON deserves absolutely nothing and should be shut down for their practices, rip offs and unprofessionalism. They tried to take complete advantage of us when we were in a very sad, stressful situation. Shame on them!!! Consider this a warning, stay away from these thieves and heartless conartists. I told my vet what happened after the fact ( she doesn't see pets after hours) and was so happy we left VETS and ran to CARES. She said VETS had a horrible reputation and CARES was the right and BEST CHOICE!!! read more

They were very courteous, patient and understanding. Although my rabbit died (it was a congenital condition, and nothing could be done to save her), I was very satisfied with all of the help we received. I ended up having them cremate her, and they surprised me with a really thoughtful gift. It made her passing a lot easier. If I had any more rabbit emergencies, I would absolutely bring my rabbits here. read more

With the shelter's limited resources, we were not given a diagnosis beyond that and the call to pick up the puppy came late at night. Our intent was to take him to our vet in the morning, however as his condition deteriorated overnight we decided to rush him to the emergency vet. Sadly, he did not make the car ride. When we arrived, obviously very upset, the vet really could not have been more compassionate, and understanding, as well as efficient. I was very impressed with her composure and how appropriately she handled such a tough situation. I really hope to never need another visit to the emergency trauma vet, however I would recommend them to anyone in need of such services. read more

Brought my dog in after she ate a washcloth. They saw us promptly, got her x-rayed, and determined that it was best that she stay overnight on IV fluids. The next day, they called in the morning and said that she had passed some of the washcloth and were waiting for the rest. Great news! They told me they would call later that day. Around 5 pm, I had not been called so I called for an update. The person I talked to-- not sure if vet tech or receptionist, etc-- said that she had walked my dog and passed even more of the washcloth. She said the doctor was on the phone just then but would call me back about when she could come home. Four hours later, still no call back. I called again, they said they were busy and would call me back ASAP. Fair enough, it's an emergency vet after all and it was a Sunday night, but I was annoyed that they hadn't returned my 5 pm call. Finally around 10 pm, I decided to just drive over there and get an update in person since I live pretty close. After a brief wait, Dr. Jackson comes out in a rush and says "She's been defecating out the sock or underwear or whatever it was". I don't expect everyone there to know every detail of every case, but you'd think that would be something you refresh on before speaking to the owner, especially because knowing that the item has passed completely is so important. I asked her if she was still on IV fluids, and she immediately got defensive, and almost shouted "of course!" I didn't know, that's why I was asking. I was taken aback at her tone. I asked if there was any way I could see my dog, but she said "if you do, you'll just excite her" (fair enough), "and at that point you may as well just take her home". I said "oh I would love to take her home", because of course I would, and again, Dr. Jackson immediately got defensive and went on about how her job is to supply medical advice, I can take it or leave it. Well, in this case, I left it. I did not feel comfortable leaving my dog with a vet who is A) extremely uncommunicative, B) doesn't seem to know or care about the details of her cases, and C) immediately gets defensive when being asked very basic questions about an animal's health. Unless your pet is literally in the throes of death, take them to ANY OTHER emergency vet in the county. Giving two stars because at least my dog didn't end up in WORSE shape than she came in. read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. I took my dog there tonight as it was her time to pass with help. First of all, the waiting room wreaks of cat urine. The woman at the front desk told me to fill out a paper and asked me how much my dog weighs. No compassion at all. She then asked me if I would like my dog's ashes; I said yes. She then told me it would be over $500.00 (I forget the exact amount). It's insane. I looked at my dog who was resting because of the medicine I gave her before I left the house. It's then that we decided that we wouldn't be saying goodbye in that disgusting, cold place. We will snuggle with her tonight and keep her comfortable and call our vet in the morning. What really upsets me is that they take advantage of people when they are desperate. I wonder how many people let their pets suffer to die on their own because of how much this vet charges. I will tell everyone when the opportunity arises to stay the hell away from there! read more

We had the same experience as many of you have had almost a year ago. Brought our 8 year old cock-a-poo in for treatment, they completely misdiagnosed him, sent him home still sick, and 3 days later we had to put him down. Just now getting over the trauma of this situation and finally getting a new puppy. Will never go to Bucks County VETS again. Can't even drive by the place without getting upset! read more

Please do not go here. It is so unbelievably awful. Our beloved cat died here - they did not call us to tell us he took a turn for the worst. We were calling every 2 hours to make sure he was doing ok and we were told he was fine. We were going to pick him up at 8am to take him to our regular vet. When we called at 4am we were told he was dead. He suffered for at least an hour (we were actually told that by the tech) and that tech Liza - just let him die without us being there to at least hold him. No effort, uncaring, honestly I wonder if she even has the credentials to work there. Just awful. Oh, and the bill was around $2500 - nice. Go to CARES in Langhorne. They are very professional and the facility is great. read more

No no no do not go here. I cannot stress it enough. TERRIBLE service. Have been waiting to pick up our 8-week old puppy for an hour and a half as he cries in the back. This facility does not even deserve a half of a star. My husband and me recently took our 8 year old mastiff here for a fall which caused an injury to her back foot. The veterinarian on duty, whom was a middle aged, woman, was extremely cold toward us. She even went as far to act as if we were neglectful parents to our precious baby. Clearly, if we are already at this facility, willing to pay any amount of money to help her feel better, we are not neglectful. Our dogs are our lives after our child. The veterinarian told us that it was a cut and needed to be looked at by her regular vet on Monday morning. We paid $640.00 for blood to be drawn (no results given, we were told her vet had to read the results) and a harness to help with getting our baby to stand up. This was no issue to us. Come Monday morning, our dog's regular vet said she had to be put down because the cut on her foot was actually a tumor that would never heal and it was apart of a neurological disease. This was diagnosed within two minutes of her vet looking at it and her blood work never being read. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS EMERGENCY VET TO ANYONE. Especially if you want honest, true care for your beloved animal. They have no bed side manor nor do they have any idea about how to care for animals. I went as far as to contact the local news media due to their inability to deal with the public and help animals in emergency situations. In the end, we found out that they turned us away due to the fact that they did not want to hold our dog's body on ice over the weekend because the local crematory was not open until Monday. So they gave us false hope that everything was okay and to just "contact our regular vet on Monday for a "follow up" visit." If you want any type of real medical treatment for your animal, NEVER COME HERE. read more

This place will nickel and dime you to death and staff has a really bad attitude. Very unprofessional and uncaring. We were told a procedure would cost $1100 and they wanted the money right then and there. When we asked if there were any other options we were told flat out no. We just didn't feel comfortable with the situation and decided to go to another emergency facility in Quakertown. Glad we did! We were given a less invasive option for our dog and everything turned out great - costing us only $400. Avoid this place! read more

I took my sick rabbit here very late night because VSEC doesn't accept exotic animals. We were briefly seen by the vet who didn't do anything to actually see what was wrong with my rabbit but instead made an assumption of what was wrong with her and just went with that. I was then handed paperwork to fill out. I have never been expected to pay almost $900 before based on an assumption. And to use my care credit card to help offset the large amount, I had to pay an additional $50 just so they could run the card. No other vet office that I have ever been to has charged me a $50 fee just to use the care credit card. The expectation of this payment was for her to be at the hospital for 48 hours and have certain things done. She was brought in around 11-11:30pm and seen by midnight. I received a call in the very early morning that my rabbit had made it through the night. I called back an hour later and they then told me she died. I went in that day to pick up her body, and the bag they gave me to bring her home in reeked of cat urine. Unfortunately, I didn't notice the heavy pee smell until I was already in my warm car with her. I was told I would receive a refund for the things I paid for that did not happen or were not needed, but I still haven't seen a penny of that $900. I have called 3 times now. I left a voicemail the first time, but the last two times I received a message saying that the voicemail box is full. It now looks like I'm going to have to waste gas and time driving all the way back out there just to ask for a refund that I should have seen immediately after I took my rabbit home to be buried. I haven't heard anything from them regarding my refund, and clearly no one is checking the voicemails in that office. I shouldn't be dealing with this nonsense. I will never use this veterinary office again. read more
