Today, January 2,2026 Went to auto checkout on grocery end…read moreof store. There are 4 auto registers but only 2 open. I was the 12th person in line. I asked the attendant who was in charge of two side-by-side sets of auto checkout sections. I asked if the two testers that were closed were broken. His reply was " No. When there is only one person to monitor both sets of auto checkout sections that they have to close two registers." My response "This is not directed at you but I'm guessing that this is what Walmart considers to be 'customer service'." Let me suggest to the powers that be: 1. Open the other two registers or 2. Hire more people!!!!! After returning home I attempted to call the store to speak to the manager. After about 15 rings I got the recorded message indicating an extremely high call volume and to try my call later. Again I ask "Why not hire more employees to even answer the phone"?????? I did try later and got the same recording!!!!! I just looked at the top of my screen and saw 3100 Hough Rd. Have no idea why other than Walmart's IT staff needs help as well. Killen Foodland was the only grocery store within a large area to stay open when all the others had to close or close very early leaving some with no place to get groceries. Believe me, I understand stores having to close because it was too risky and dangerous for employees to attempt to drive to work on icy roads. I have always had good experiences at both Aldi's in Florence and Muscle Shoals. Even though there…read moremay only be one cashier open on a busy Saturday, the line goes so quickly that I rarely wait for more than a few minutes. I'm usually in and out within 15 minutes. Aldi has a lot of items that are not found in other stores, and they have a great cheese selection, fresh olives, pickles, etc, at a lower price. The employees at both stores are very helpful and polite.

Employees are not as friendly nor helpful in any way, they act as though it's a bother to them to ask a question or to look in the back to see if they have an item that's not on the shelf. I would imagine that if a product is not on the shelf and it is in the back upper management would want to get it on the shelf to be sold and satisfy the customer. lately the shelves have been empty in all areas especially in the meat department. This location has been slowly going down the tubes and with the high volume of customers that this store has it's a shame. the prices have gone up on most products when other grocery stores in the area are starting to beat Aldi's in prices and customer service such as IGA in North Florence. I hold the store manager responsible for poor customer service and shelves not being stocked I know that price range is out of his control. My advice for district management is to get this manager in shape or let him go, It would be a shame to see this high volume of cliental drop due to poor management.

First time going in years and may be the last. while I did buy something off the sale rack, the…read moresale sticker covered up the expiration date that was 6 months out of date. I called about it said I could return it and I did thinking it was simple mistake on someone covering the exp date and me not removing all the stickers prior to buying. The older woman who checked me out said "well it was on the sale rack" as in I should know better? I still didn't consider having a place sell jars of food that far out of date. With that statement and the tone of her voice I felt maybe the date was covered intentionally to be deceitful? I wasn't even upset about it but felt hostility from the worker for returning it. Not sure I will be back to shop here due to this negative exchange and really disappointed in something that was an easy fix.
