My case was easy - nothing that would cause any hicups along the way. I paid in full, $1500 cash as he demanded before he would start any filing. I met with him several times-he raised no red flags, so to speak. He said we would be done withing 3-4 months which was great news to me, especially wanting this behind me before my baby came. Well ....after a YEAR of going back and forth and him LYING to me, I find out he doesn't even have his license anymore! He lost his license in April 2014 and even up until July 2014 he was emailing me and calling me, telling (lying) me he would go to court for me so I didn't have to deal with the stress so close to my due date...and then called me afterwards to tell me it went smoothly and "I'm all set." This wad a blatant and malicious lie. In reality, he STOLE $1500 my family of four needed terribly and strung me along for over a year....I only found out about his asinine lies after calling the court system to get my records/paperwork (that doesn't exist because he lied to me)!! I am filing with the disciplinary board...even though I know he already has one against him, and am considering taking him to small claims court for stealing my money.
