This is the place I always go to every year to buy my T in the Park ticket and I am never disappointed, as one year I left it super late and I phoned up asking for tickets thinking they were going to laugh in my face, but it turns out they had spares - win!! They sell their tickets at the RRP which is good as it means you don't get scammed into buying a ridiculously expensive ticket so it is definitely a safe option to buy your tickets from this store. Tickets Scotland sell a huge range of tickets for concerts and festivals, and I walked past the store the other day and noticed that they are now selling tickets for the Cream Fields Festival. Later on during the week (Wednesday), an email was sent to me with the detail of the shipment and the address was incorrect (the wrong house number) and the email was meant to be sent to the receiver.I contacted Mail Boxes ETC by phone, they checked my address and they assured me that the box will arrive home. Apparently the mistake was only in the email sent content. I also informed him that I was told it will reach the destination by Monday or Tuesday, the person replied it was an approximation and no promises were given. After my experience with Mail Boxes ETC considering the price I would say this company is a good alternative. In term of customer service they were friendly, warm and quite casual yet I would rate it average mainly because they expected me to know about the verity of services Mail Boxes ETC offer and decide on my own. To be honest, up until recently I went with the first option as couriers were just too much for the budget to handle on a regular basis. So City Couriers was a welcome surprise. This place charges 1/2 the price of any other local courier. Before finding them, ONE cross town trip would cost me £20 - £25, whereas TWO deliveries through City Couriers, going to New Town and Leith from Stockbridge came to £20 in total. I also appreciate the fact that they offer exclusive hire hours for a reasonable rate (bike starts at £12/hr; van is £20/hr) - I've done a few remote events and hand delivered 40+ packages in a taxi, so this is a godsend. The cons? I booked the service at 10am and asked for a pick up no later than 4pm. They made it in time but it was down to the wire and when I phoned to confirm that they were indeed on their way, was told that one of the boxes might have to be delivered first thing in the morning. There's also no way to track this without calling them directly. As the deliveries were slightly time sensitive, it's a fact that I would have like to known earlier and one I've made note of for the future. Next time, I'll request an earlier pick up and hope that solves the problem... because yes, there will indeed be a next time - delays aside, this was a welcome find.

This was a small van, just for a few trips to the tip. I ensured that tank was full and no damage, at drop off. Didn't even think of checking mileage - I filled the tank up just before handover - a total cost of £6.69, for the 2 days. I phoned a couple of days after drop off, to confirm that all was OK and was told yes. 2 weeks later, I notice that PIXO has withdrawn £40.63, using my card details, with no notification or permission. I sent an email of complaint, warning that I would take legal action, if necessary - no response. I left 3 voicemails, over several days - with no response. Finally, a very nice lady answers and said that she had been on holiday and that no-one had passed any messages on. She investigated and said that Europcar had taken mileage readings at the beginning and end of the rental and had told PIXO that I had exceeded the mileage allowance - their total was 600 miles. Astonishing really, since we only used 1.767 gallons of fuel and we only used the van to clear some garden and household rubbish, to Sighthill tip. I am disputing this and I will be willing to go to Court, and there will be 3 of us willing to give evidence, as well as 2 written statements. I have been in touch with Trading Standards, for advice and the guy immediately picked up on the fact that the withdrawal was made with no notification and he has reported this as an 'unfair Business Practice'. I will ensure that my evidence includes the fact that I received no reply to my original email or phone calls. I am now in the process of sending a Recorded Delivery letter, stating my case and a deadline for this to be resolved and my money refunded, otherwise I will proceed to the Small Claims Court.
