Good, greasy food- great for a drinking night with friends, or watching football. Gives off a strong sports fan vibe, kinda like that fat uncle that comes over during the Superbowl party and screams furiously when his team starts losing. My favorite place to eat any day of the week, but Tuesdays are wing nights and all I can say is Wow I love there wings and pizza. They have special most nights and prices are very fair. In any restaurant you go to there will be a bad day so I take the girls getting busy and forgetting as no big deal. As long as it's not everyone I come in then we are good. food was fine but we first sat outside when the waitress told us we weren't allowed with out a parent. she said we had to be 21.... to sit outside? we didn't sit near the bar outside but when we moved inside we sat right next to the bar and that's no issue. they also gave us dirty looks when we walked in and the waitress who made us move was extremely rude. i would recommend ordering food and picking up. skip eating here they're rude and can't tell us why we aren't allowed to sit out there when i'm 18 and my boyfriend is 20. we're adults but still need a parent. read more

I have eaten at Bud Murphy's since I was a teenager in high school. My friends and I would eat here at least twice a month. That was many years ago, sadly. The good news is, even though I no longer live in PA, whenever I return to visit I eat at a Bud Murphy's. They still have the best pizza and the coldest beer. Their daily special is more food than anyone should eat in one meal, yet we do. They have a nice variety of options if you don't want pizza. Why anyone wouldn't want pizza is beyond me. Not sure how this place gets good reviews, the service is extremely slow unless you happen to be sitting next to the beer pumps. It's a very large bar but do not make the mistake of sitting at the bar near the doors, as you may not get served for a while. Stopped in for lunch with the work crew. Each of us tried a different sandwich combo. Food was good, not spectacular, (it's a sports bar lunch special) and very affordable. There is an everyday lunch special with soup, salad and a monstrous half of a sandwich for around 5 dollars. Draft selection is solid and the bar is spacious. Service was great.. Good pizza, but service is absolutely horrible. Sat at table for 10 minutes before anyone even acknowledged us. Then, a girl throws down some menus and tells us a waitress will be right with us. Fifteen minutes later, a girl takes our drink and food order. We ordered wings because it was "wing night" and a pizza. We had the Sampler appetizer plate along with a small pizza (mushroom and pepperoni) and barely squeezed down a piece of the pizza since we were stuffed on the appetizers. Margarita pizza is very garlicky and to die for. I had guests staying, bikers from Pittsburgh, and they visited Buds. On my recommendation they tried the margarita pizza and loved it. Bud Murphy's is my family's favorite place to eat. Every time we have gone there we have had excellent service. However today on Mother's Day of 2019 we had issues. Our waitress was amazing and we couldn't thank her enough she was so sorry about everything that happened. We ordered 4 steaks, hot pepper cheese balls, 2 pizzas, and more. First my brothers girlfriend had got chips and dip. It took more than 20 minutes for it to come out. Then my step dads pizza came out 30 minutes before anyone else's food even the chips and dip and cheese balls. After waiting 45 minutes the cheese balls finally came. Our food didn't come until about an hour and a half later of being there. When we got the steaks my grandmothers, grandfathers, sister, and moms were wrong. My Moms steak was supposed to have cheese and no mushrooms. She had no cheese and mushrooms. Everyone else's steak was correct but they said it was like burnt rubber. The steak was burnt. When we asked for the manager Dave came over. Dave is a dick. He did not ask for them to make our food again and fix it and he only took 2 out of the four steaks that were wrong off our bill. Dave's attitude to our waitress was disrespectful and rude to us. read more

Bud's has good cheap food. Drinks are pretty good, but you can definitely get cheaper drinks in Connellsville. The atmosphere is fun, loud; my biggest complaint about Bud's is the inconsistency of service. I've had awesome service there twice, but every other time it's been terrible (countless times I have been seated at a booth and had to go up to the bar to get a drink because I had been neglected by my server). read more

Terrible Experience. Love bud murphys, but its not the same anymore. Had the Shamrock room reserved for a party of almost 50 people, and two hours before the party they call me and tell me that the room was double booked because a reservation was "not wrote down". So they moved our party to the small dining room. The shift manager that we spoke with after the party was VERY UNPROFESSIONAL she walked away in the middle of our conversation. Bud Murphy's does have great food and a great atmosphere; you have to give it to them for that. However, the past two times I have gone there I've paid my bill with a credit card and I've given the wait staff a generous tip, but when I check my account statement afterwards they have charged my card more than what I authorized on both occasions. I called and spoke with one of the managers, who was very pleasant to speak with, and was able to get a refund, but the fact that it has happened more than once really discourages me from going back. Every little bit does in fact add up even if it seems small at the time. Be careful with your payment method and watch your statement to make sure you're not being over charged. Would have rated higher, but with the lack of integrity displayed by their waitstaff I just can't justify it. read more
