It is with great pleasure that I write this review... First some background to my specific immigration case...I first got my permanent residency in 1990 and voluntarily surrender my card at an Embassy in Africa when it became to costly to re enter into the US every 6 month during my 10 year stay there...I was told by the Consulate in Africa (incorrectly), that I would be able to reinstate my status easily if I returned to the US and my married status did not change during that time...So I traded my Green-card for a B1/B2 visa which was good for 10 years...(Big mistake)... Finally the day arrived when we moved back to the US...things did not go well...My previous immigration lawyer now wanted double the amount it previously cost (which was costly then) and so we opted to go with an immigration agent at about half the cost...(Agents fill in the paperwork and charges a fee)... As it turned out the paperwork was filed incorrectly and my case got placed in the slow lineup as was explained to me by the US/gov agent who reviewed my case when I started to inquire about the delay... I promptly fired my immigration agent and took over all my paper work and during the course of me handling this I had to provide evidence for all sorts of things and NOTHING was easy or automatic. I made a mistake and left out a small detail on my wife's paper work and as a result my case got rejected...(I kid you not)....I had 30 days to appeal which I did and thankfully my application got reinstated... It was at this time, some, FOURTEEN MONTHS LATER, that I decided I needed an attorney which is when John Buda came into the picture...His friendly but very detailed explanation to me of what, how and when things would take place over the course of the next 3 months made me hire him on the spot... Not only was his fee very competitive, but it cost no more than my original so called immigration agent did when I first filed... My wife and I had been to about 4 other law groups before we went to see John. And needless to say he was the last. Simply put, John was the most informative, the most thorough, and he was also less $$ than the previous 4 we had talked to. It was very refreshing and nice because we did not have that much extra money to spend. We walked out of the office after our first visit beaming. He shoots you straight.
