This is a difficult review for me to write as I have loved Buddies Flowers from the very beginning. Their bag bouquets are exceptional. But the last two experiences have been different. We received flowers from someone that used this flower shop. The flowers were already dying upon delivery and smelled awful. The accompanying greens had soggy, slimy stems the next day. The arrangement literally was a supermarket bouquet dropped into a vase without any attention to arrangement. I went ahead and removed the decaying stems and clipped up all the remaining stems and made my own arrangement with what was left. Sending flowers is pricey these days and this should have been better. We also had a similar experience a few months ago...except the flowers came in a bag and therefore were arranged with thought but didn't last long. I am sad about this review. I called in my order, talked to someone actually in the store and she was very friendly. I asked for an $80. Designer's choice arrangement bright colors for a sympathy and they delivered an amazing arrangement. I'm sure that it will last a long time and the lilies will continue to open daily. It's always a little worrisome when you order flowers from another state, you never know if florist did a good job, but Buddies did an amazing job and will use them again read more

I called recently and ordered a bouquet for a funeral. Tammy was super helpful and friendly. Nobody loves a funeral, but she had me very excited about the arrangement she was going to make for our dear friends! That being said, sometimes mistakes are made, and I tend to judge on the reaction to that, rather than the mistake itself. Tammy admitted the mistake, came through and went above and beyond with the beautiful arrangement. The service she provided through the entire process was unprecedented. Annakim is the absolute best!!! She created fabulous flower arrangements for our wedding, that pulled the aesthetic together nicely. I so was burned out on wedding details when I spoke with her and had no idea which kind of flowers I was looking for. I only knew I had a few colors and a vibe I was aiming for. Annakim took that and ran with it creating gorgeous arrangements for everything from the arbor, to bouquets, and table decorations. Was looking for a nice "go-to" place for quality flowers (meaning--very fresh & a great assortment) that was also affordable--not easy to find in Lake Oswego! I went to a couple of other shops that were grossly overpriced for the quality offered, & then lucked into finding this little place right by Albertson's.:) Even though I arrived near closing time, the shop flowers still looked really fresh!! Plus, the florists were so sweet & helpful, which was nice since I was buying something to be delivered the next day to a very sick friend. They did a beautiful job with my floral order (using new blooms brought in the following morning) & delivered it to my friend--who said the orchid arrangement was "gorgeous!" The florists were really great & the quality/work was top-notch. (Plus, hanging out in the shop is this really mellow dog that reminds you of the one in the "Travelers Insurance" commercial--so if you love animals like I do...;)) I'll definitely be coming back here in the future. read more

I love this little flower shop! They do beautiful flowers, ranging from modern arrangements to stuff your granny would like, whatever you need. And the women who own this place are funny! Buddies Flowers did the flowers for a family wedding this past weekend and what a fabulous job! The bride was consulted all the way, had her colors picked and wanted a certain 'look' for the bouquets and table decorations. Every wish was fulfilled! Annakim of Buddies is so talented - she made floral headpieces for the bride and flower girls, decorated the wedding arbor with beautiful roses and Spanish moss (bride is from South Carolina), every chair had a floral bow, made bridesmaid bouquets, and groomsmen boutonnieres, lapel flowers for the family members. She personally delivered and set up all the vases on the dinner tables. VERY IMPRESSIVE! read more
