She has an incredible way with animals and a tremendous understanding of their behaviors and reactions in certain situations. She was also great about working with the whole family, kids included, to make sure we were all learning to communicate with Max effectively. She is able to accomplish so much in each individual visit, it's remarkable. I would certainly recommend a visit with her if you're having any issues with your faithful canine companion. There's no doubt she'll be able to help.

We called in Dee to help, and over 5 visits she not only helped our girl understand what we expect of her, she helped us understand how we act. Our girl is now so much better, still more training to do, but we're on the right path. Without Dee's help and insight we would probably have decided to put her down, and I'm ashamed to admit that it really was mostly our fault not understanding our responsibility. Finally, Dee is a wealth of life experience and wisdom, she not only helped our girl and us with dog training, but she helped us understand each other, work together, and that is not easy with a teenage girl and preteen boy. Thank you Dee, I cannot recommend you enough!!

Shannon and David are absolutely amazing. They are highly professional, incredibly knowledgeable,…read moreand truly care about your dog just as much as you do. They don't just train your dog- they train you and your dog to be a team. Working with Shannon changed my dog's quality of life immeasurably. I began sessions with Shannon expecting to have a better behaved dog in the end, but what I found is that the bond I have with my dog is so much stronger. I was almost ready to give up on my dog because she didn't seem happy and I felt like I was failing her as an owner. Shannon started by giving me confidence as an owner and trainer of my own dog, and then she showed me how to build my dog's confidence (and give her the stimulation her brilliant border collie brain needs) by training together and engaging in interactive play. The positive change in my dog's attitude and personality are astounding- she is no longer the timid, jumpy, neurotic border collie I adopted 5 years ago. She is confident, playful, and even cuddly! She refused to snuggle before, and now she sleeps right next to me in the bed every night. Thank you, Shannon, for teaching me how to bring out the best in my dog, and giving me my best friend. I wish we still lived nearby so that we could continue working with Really Good Pets.

Brad, Jessica & Kara have a wealth of knowledge informed by years of experience and it shows. They're more like dog-training-coaches who teach you how to train your own dog, on a smaller level. It really helped my relationship with my dog once I realized he listens better if I'm the one teaching him things & reinforcing the things he's learned whenever he comes home from a board & train. They break down what you're doing into very simple terms (and as a first-time dog owner, that's what I needed.) No question is a stupid question, and the way they explain things is in normal-people terms. LOVE, love love this group and how they've grown me and my pup Tanto, and I'll recommend them to anyone & everyone I can! (Photo of Tanto right after he met them a year ago, just because it's cute.)

Very bad experience with SWK-9. I should have not taken Facebook reviews as the gospel. This…read moretrainer has good reviews but You can't believe everything you see on fb. After leaving my dog with them for their board and train program, (3 week program) I ended up Picking him up after a week. Trainer would not communicate with us, except a text every so often with no details. After telling them we would like to know what was happening, trainer would text back, if I sent her a text,..most times the response was limited to one line. They were rude when we tried asking them to give us daily updates, saying they don't have time. They use the 'work for food' way where the dog doesn't eat unless he's training. My dog lost weight while there as he was only fed 3 lbs from a 12lb bag of food. They cut his neck mane so that they could use a shock collar on him (without permission) The trainer also bad mouthed our dog to our breeder (very professional) calling him names. The day we picked him up, Brad Hardin demonstrated walking on leash with him, when my dog didn't do as told, he jerked by a choke collar so hard he yelped. Vet said marks on neck was from a pinch or shock collar, and also underweight from lack of food. We pulled him out of the program after a week, paid $1250.00 (contract said we would be pro-rated in that case but trainer refused to give refund) I was literally scared for my dogs safety and would try to be extra nice while communicating. We were told that At least 2 other dogs in the program at the same time suffered way worse than our dog. Infections, hip injuries, broken teeth! This was my experience with this company. The only thing I hope is that no other dog is harmed. Despite the few good reviews on their fb page,..don't believe what you read. Don't take a chance,...use a different trainer!

She cares about your dog and your relationship with your dog. I feel like this boarding school program has made my relationships with all three of my dogs better. They all three experienced a lifetime of good manners, and I was able to easily incorporate her training program into my everyday life. This program works and if you make it a part of your life the rewards with your dog are endless. She worked with my dogs and my family so that my children and their friends had good relationships with the dogs. After her program my labs were gentle, walked on a lead and tolerant of children. Probably the best thing she teaches the dogs is the magic carpet or place. This provides a means for the dog to be well behaved when working in the kitchen or when company is over. Kris allows you to come back for more. She will help you and your dog reach a higher level of training- helping make your dreams for your dog come true. Really, I cant. Say enough about how this program has helped my learn to teach my dog. I feel very lucky that my dogs were able to attend the program at The American Dog Obedience Center. Becky Hulsey
