2.5 stars. I have shopped at Beaver Valley Mall off and on for several years. Since my previous…read morereview a few years ago, more stores have closed. My husband and I were here most recently on Black Friday 2025, and although the mall had mostly vacant storefronts, many people were walking around. The mall was clean and maintained, and a Christmas train was set up for children. My husband made an analogy and said that the mall reminded him of an old person who was dying but was in a nursing home that took great care of them (!). I needed to use the women's restroom, and an employee kindly told me its location. The restroom was located past the food court, which contained only some restaurants. The restroom looked old but was fairly clean and worked. During this shopping trip, I shopped in the Boscov's, Dick's Sporting Goods, and Shoe Dept. Encore. I most liked the Boscov's.

The Beaver Valley Mall is magnificent but dead. It's a large mall that is smaller than you'd expect…read moreon the inside, with a beautiful fountain at center court. The interior is very pretty for a mall, and there are cute gathering areas in front of two anchor stores. Many storefronts in the interior of the mall are vacant, and finding a reason to come shop is difficult. The mall is owned by Namdar Realty Group, a known slum lord. Unfortunately, the anchors contribute to the issues. The former Macy's is used by U-Haul for self-storage with part being offered for redevelopment. Rural King does not open into the mall. JCPenney is in the process of closing, which is sad as it's a nicer store for this chain. Boscov's will be the only anchor with access from in the mall once JCPenney's closes. Dick's remains as a junior anchor. The food court is still decent and includes Chick-Fil-A and China Max, along with others. It's a shame a mall this nice looking is in this condition, with empty storefronts everywhere. The future of this mall is uncertain at best.

My husband and I shopped here one time. As some other reviewers previously commented, not many employees interacted with us as we walked around the aisles. The shelves were fully stocked with merchandise, and the prices ranged from low because of Black Friday sales to average. We felt most interested in the Christmas trees, storage containers, paint brushes, writing utensils, and kitchenware. We found what we wanted.

They must put them there to entertain boys who are dragged here by their mothers. Or women with boyfriends or husbands. I mean we need something to do and look at while you all hunt for cake pans, fake flowers, glue guns, yarn, scrapbooks, and other things you saw Martha Stewart use on television. Kay didn't find everything she was looking for, but combined with a gift card and my generosity, she got it all for free.

Instead of buying my personalized items online and made wherever, the owner of Kathleen's makes it possible to bring my latest Pinterest idea into reality. My latest personalized gift I ordered was a collection of baby onesies as a welcome baby gift. They were exactly what I wanted! I also ordered my swag bags here for my destination birthday celebration. Again, they turned out exactly like my vision. An idea I got from samples on display in the store, are pillows they make from photos you provide. I bought a pair as a housewarming gift with the drawing of a new home. For a relative's milestone birthday, they made an elegant sash out of a quality satin material with rose gold lettering for the birthday honoree to wear that matched the colors of the party decorations. I feel so thankful to have a home decor store in my quintessential small American town that offers monogramming and personalizing/customizing services!
