Absolutely worst customer service Ive ever dealt with. The woman behind the desk was chatting nonsense to customers when she had people waiting. That same customer came in and said the car was dirty. I had to remove myself from the store because she wouldnt be quiet while trying to solve my problem I would NOT recommend this Budget or Avis and management needs to review the tape and get her away from customers! read more

Picking up just the keys to get my vehicle took almost as long as it would have taken if I flew into Orlando and drove to Melbourne.

Very sketchy company. Literally stole my money and did not provide a vehicle. Staff was extremely rude and unhelpful.

First there were 3 agents, then one took off. Then the remaining 2 were so slow...claiming no cars. Then they only took people that randomly stood in the Fastbreak line, whether they were or not....while there were 20 people in the regular line. They even use a DOT MATRIX PRINTER. I am giving 1 star solely for the young man who assisted me, as he was respectful. Unfortunately, everything else about this experience was unacceptable. This is the second time within a year that I have given Budget my business. The first time was extremely frustrating due to poor service. While this recent rental was slightly better, it was still far below acceptable standards. Just like the first experience, I waited nearly one hour in line (an improvement from the three hours last time, but still unreasonable). I had reserved a Standard Elite - Mercedes-Benz C300 or similar. I was told I would be given a Genesis, with no other options available. When I reached the vehicle, it was electric, in addition not a comparable class to the Mercedes or similar that I booked. I do not drive electric vehicles, did not select one, and was given no choice. If I had wanted an electric vehicle, I would have booked one. I returned to the counter immediately. There were two agents present: the same young gentleman who had helped me earlier (and who had been alone for most of check-in), and an older blonde female agent. Both were assisting customers, so I waited to the side, as I was not willing to rejoin the line after already waiting an hour--especially since I was simply returning the wrong vehicle. When I attempted to explain this, the female agent repeatedly pointed me back to the line, despite knowing: * I had already waited an hour * I was given the wrong vehicle * I was already late due to the delay After the gentleman stepped away, she intentionally ignored me, even when there was no one else in line. the same customer entered the queue, she immediately assisted him instead of acknowledging me, even though I was standing right beside her. She was courteous to that customer, yet dismissive and rude toward me. When the original gentleman became available, he assisted me and suddenly had the Mercedes- or similar I had originally booked. I informed him of his colleague's behavior. I also apologized to the other customer out of courtesy. When I asked the female agent for her name, she refused to provide it. When I asked the Gentlemen who was helping me for her name he did not provide. Having worked in customer service for over 25 years, I chose to de-escalate rather than argue further. However, this experience demonstrated a lack of professionalism, accountability, and basic customer service standards. she needs training in customer service and how to multi task in a more professional and efficient manner. this whole situation could have been avoided, had i been given what i had originally chosen, definitely not an electric and better acknowledgement. opportunity for improvement , perhaps advise the customer that the vehicle they are reviving keys for is an electric vehicle . Especially if they did not specify electric vehicle to begin with. ask if they are familiar or know how to work with electric vehicle , etc. I drive a bmw (gas) , I don't know what a genesis vehicle or Hyundai. I would have never left the counter until a gas vehicle was provided . Very very disappointed in this experience . At least I didn't wait longer than 1 hour in line , process from start to finish took 2 hours . read more

Unfriendly staff, charged us 25£ for picking up 10 mins early. Car had chipped windscreen. Two other guests on our flight also rejected cars, one with split tyres other with a puncture. Even our replacement wasn't clean. All in all a very poor experience. read more

"We email you a receipt, that's why we take your email address." Lady in a snarky tone when i asked her about my receipt. She should know that's not entirely obvious because EVERYONE asks for your email and that doesn't imply anything anywhere except in her mind. She also told me (annoyed) to throw away the odometer and fuel reading with parking space information (explicit instructions at rental car return). She said "we have people that check that". In her mind I'm supposed to ignore explicit instructions and read her mind in others. It wasn't busy. She made an otherwise nice trip end in a way that I felt I had ruined her day for being a moron. I gave it two stars because car was fine but a little smelly. But I can get operational smelly cars anywhere. read more

Had to exchange a vehicle since it was unsafe to drive. Charlene was not helpful in the slightest. Received a replacement that was in disgusting condition. Avoid this location like the plague. read more

Kyle Wienecke When I got to the airport to pick up my car, I went to the Budget Counter gave the woman my reservation info and my driver's license. She immediately put my license into some sort of scanner then turned to me and said I cannot rent a car to you then just attempted to dismiss me. I told her there was nothing wrong with my Driver's License. What is the issue? I need my car and need it now I asked her to try again she didn't want to, but I insisted so she tried again. But her scanner or whatever she was using wouldn't take the license at all now. Once again, she said I can't rent you a car and walked away. I asked her to help me to resolve this, she had no interest in helping me. Now I am stranded and had to have a car. I went to another car rental company, and I told them the issue I was having with Budget and asked if they could they help me of course unlike the Budget representative they were glad to do so, They started the process of making a reservation for me. They had no problem with me or my license but as this was now a last-minute car reservation it was substantially more expensive. They (the other car rental associate) told me the problem may have been that the back side on my Driver's license had some scratches or that Budget scanner was to working properly and that may have caused a problem with the Budgets scanner. They suggested that I go back to Budget and ask her to try scanning it again or have her manually enter my driver's license manually. So, I now went back to the Budget counter and asked her to scan it again or to enter it manually. She refused to do either. Her total lack of willingness to help as well as her lack of empathy was astounding to me. I now called their (Budget) customer service number. The person I talked with of course was from another country. Not only was he hard to understand he also had a hard time understanding my issue. Bottom line he couldn't help me. So, at this point (more than an hour after I arrived) I was out of options and had to rent the car from the other (helpful) rental car company, of course at a substantially higher price. I would like for Budget to do something so this doesn't happen to someone else. As well as compensate me for my time and the increased cost. My experience with this situation should not have happened. My frustration with what happened was horrible and I have a hard time describing how angry I became. This location merged with Avis. They're the worst! They font answer the phones, and the manager won't call you when there's an issue. I disputed the charge with my credit card. Never again!!! read more

Booked a full size car and prepaid on the Budget website. Used a coupon code from my employer which was 20% off and a "one class upgrade". Arrived at the airport about 55 minutes early and told that I may be charged more because I am early for my rental. Fought that with the clerk and won, but then was told that she was not going to recognize my coupon code for the complentary upgrade because I booked online and prepaid so "everything was set it stone". This is the second time I have had an issue with Budget sticking to their end of the deal. I will use Enterprise or National exclusively from now on. read more

This location is terrible. They lie and don't answer the phone. I called and called then I verified the number when I got there and the young lady says yes you have the right number. I test call the phone and watch her let ring. Earlier that morning she told me they did local drop-offs of folks after they rental a rental. I asked did it apply for Budget rentals as well, because she only picked up the Avis phone. Now keep in mind they have two agents and it is always the same two. I know because I have come to this location multiple times over a two week period. I only use them, because it is who my company chooses. Skip them and go with another company at this airport. It is a waste of your time. I always get asked is it just me, so they can try to give me a small car or something. I think the whole time and ask them, I rented a standard and they reply, "Oh we wanted to see if you wanted this or that." The one time I do it I get this small SUV with the door handles up near the window. Seriously this location is lame and they waste your time at the counter if you have Avis Preffered or Budget Fastbreak. I would give them zero stars if I could. read more
