They are supposed to check the cars, to report mileage, fuel level, etc and clean them, so someone should have found my keys. Unless, of course, Budget employees aren't doing what they're supposed to and pencil whipping the forms they have to fill out, which is fraud and illegal! Every time I try to call this location, someone from the main call center always answers because these jerks NEVER pick up the phone and it gets routed to the main call center. Nobody is THAT busy at MLB airport! I have called back to back for 2 and 3 hours straight multiple times and no one from the counter has ever picked up!! Think twice about choosing this location for your rental car needs because if you have to go beyond a simple rental transaction, you're screwed. Always triple check your BUDGET rental before you leave it! Fly into MCO if you can and save yourself the trouble. I wish I had.

Update: I reached out to the manager, Robert. The voicemail on his cell phone is full so I could not leave a message. I sent him a text message and 36 hours later. I have not had a response. I'm now thinking there are better places to rent cars in the Melbourne area. Avis, this location has lost my business.

I called and was told the runners hadn't returned any keys but they'd call if they were found. My husband returned to the airport less than 30 minutes after drop-off and was told essentially the same thing, with the rep saying she believed the runners were already gone for the day. Thankfully, he found one of the runners outside, who immediately knew which keys he meant. The frustrating part? The runner had already brought the keys inside to the same desk where my husband had just been told no keys had been turned in! I understand they're not responsible for lost property, but good customer service would at least involve making an effort to help, especially when the item had already been found.
