We didn't have any problem with too many being rented out, and the worker was really helpful and understanding in working with us since we hadn't ever rented a truck before and weren't sure what to expect. Dropping off the truck was so easy--even though it was after hours, there was a website we just pulled up to be able to check in when we brought the truck back, take pictures of the required things, and turn in our paperwork. The charges were minimal for the miles/gas, and the base price was so low, it was such a painless process!

Then they tried to charge us $118.12 then $100.87 we finally got in touch with the regional manager and they claimed that they were going to refund us since they fucked up on their end. I would not recommend coming here. Since renting here they have over charged us for them not doing their job, gave us attitude when letting them know there was multiple issues with their smaller box truck, wouldn't give us a deposit back even giving the truck back 3 hours earlier,not taking responsibility and the regional manager finally reached out after being told he would reach out to us last week it's not professional at all. You may as well go to a different place to rent a truck.

My experience with most things is that they either barely exceed or fall short of expectations, which is just fine and I'm almost always happy with what I get. With that being said, I'm writing this review because this experience varies drastically from the norm. Penske really screwed us over. Not once but several times. Our new source of employment, the reason that we moved, pushed forward my start date by one week. In spite of this, we still would be able to make the move with our original Penske reservation, however, this change took away any flexibility we once had. Saturday morning, the day that we had to pack and leave, we arrived to pick up our reserved truck when we were scheduled, the representative informed us that our truck isn't there and that there are three other reservations, all of which are missing trucks too. We were told that we would get a phone call sometime later that day when a truck was found for us. A couple minutes before 5:00pm on Saturday we got a call saying Penske didn't have any trucks but might get one Sunday...."but we can't confirm that either." The next morning more phone calls are made to Penske and still nobody knows where trucks are at and when they will be ready. At this point, I had to call around to different companies and make a different reservation. This choice wasn't as economical for us, but what was I supposed to do at this point. We ended up paying more money to go through a different company (limited options moving across the country with a last minute rental). Obviously more stressful as things were planned around having a truck. And the biggest (the reason I'm writing this review), is that we had to drive through the night, 53 straight hours to arrive on time for training. Instead of leaving Saturday afternoon we were leaving Sunday night, taking away anytime that we had set aside for sleep. Penske what's the point of a reservation? Why even bother calling me a week before the pickup date to confirm my reservation if you won't have the truck that you're calling me about ready? According to the contract, if I bailed on you or didn't show up, you would charge me $100. Thank goodness for you that only works one way. Good doing business with you Penske.
