Make sure you use your Waze app to get here. It is off the beaten path, but it is well worth the trip and I would like to say that it is worth the time too explore. Once you have navigated through your journey, you'll realize that you have come to an oasis that is green and lush and full of forest with nothing other than being surrounded by the sounds of nature, birds, and other. I selected his venue for our 32 year anniversary which did not disappoint. It's a small intimate cabin, however, has all the comforts of home the wifi is super strong and allows you to feel connected, but not so much that your not enjoying your stay. The location affords Nashville transplants or less noise seekers to allow for a brief respite from the noise and nonsense of Nashvegas! Once again Dave was extremely gracious and welcoming and we cherished our time at this great bed and breakfast. Please be advised that this a bed and breakfast and you must realize that others may be in the same structure, however you have ample space for doing your thing. We will certainly be back and we highly recommend this spot to get away.

OMG! The Cedar Grove Inn is the BEST place to stay…read more Let's just put it out there, most places that are available to rent for either the night or a week are either really seedy or are expensive cookie cutter rooms. At Cedar Grove Inn, not only are the rooms large and clean but at the Inn the love that goes into each room can be seen as you walk in. Every guest room has a large basket of snacks...cookies, chips, granola bars, etc. I stayed downstairs and I had a very spacious, comfortable room. The adjoining bathroom has a walk in shower and a huge claw foot soaking tub. Bath bombs are supplied if you want to take a long soak. There is also a mini fridge in the bath so that you can put drinks (supplied) or left overs in it. The breakfast is delicious. The food in the fridge is available at any time. If you are staying any length of time Kim or Rich will do their best to get it. Kim and Rich also supply beer and wine in the main kitchen so you can enjoy a happy hour before going out to explore Nashville for the evening. The couple are delightful to visit with. Don't be surprised if you see family stop by. Everyone is fun. I stayed a couple of weeks and received invitations to their open house at Thanksgiving and Christmas. I had fun! They raise chickens on the grounds and are certified to to sell both eggs and chickens. The chickens are delightful to watch for a city girl. They are released from their coop late morning and are allowed to free range until dark. I don't usually post reviews of places that I have stayed to but go see Kim and Rich at Cedar Grove Inn. It is an exceptional place to stay.

What an incredible place! It's like stepping back in time to a simpler place... but you'd expect…read morethat from a place that's 105+ years old! It reminds me of a Tennessee version of the hotels in Dirty Dancing or Somewhere In Time. It's all very romantic! When you're there, you're part if the family. Be prepared to make friends. You'll make friends with the staff, the other guests, the entertainers that play in the entertainment, and even the owner, who walks around all day making sure everything goes as it should. Speaking of the entertainment center, it's called the Ronnie McDowell Entertainment Center, because Ronnie was raised in the area, and you can regularly find him playing there. Other great acts that play there include T Graham Brown, Lee Newton, 2Country 4Nashville, and many more! The price of the show includes dinner, and you won't be disappointed there either! Great Southern specialties like your mama used to make, and lots of it! It's the same with the family style breakfast, that is included in the price of your room. Try the biscuits and chocolate gravy! When you leave the Donaho Hotel, you'll most likely already be talking to your newly made friends, about when you'll be meeting them back there again! Those are all the things that make the Donoho special. Don't come planning to watch TV or play online all day. Come planning to sit in the rocking chairs on the front porch. Come planning to hang out with your new friends, in the period decorated rooms around the lobby, after you've enjoyed your amazing dinner. Whether you come for the scenery, the music, the peace and quiet, the food, or the friendships... you'll find it at the Donoho Hotel. We spent five days there at Christmas, and three at New Years. And loved every second of it!

I recently stayed at this campground after booking Tent Site #6 with power hookup, and my…read moreexperience was extremely disappointing due to multiple service failures, safety concerns, and unprofessional communication. 1. Incorrect Check‑In Instructions The self‑check‑in directions provided were inaccurate. The instructions stated to "turn right toward the barn", but the correct route required an immediate left. After a long drive, unclear directions created unnecessary confusion and delay. 2. Power Hookup Failure & Safety Concerns After setting up my tent at 7:24 PM, I discovered that none of the four outlets were functioning. When I called for assistance, I was repeatedly told to "press the reset button," despite explaining that the outlet was not a GFCI, which is a safety requirement under Tennessee electrical standards. This was not only unhelpful--it was unsafe. 3. Lack of Communication & Delayed Support Between 7:24 PM and 9:15 PM, I made multiple calls for updates: 8:25 PM - Called again because no one followed up. 9:00 PM - Walked to the office; no staff present. Calls went to voicemail, even when selecting the Urgent option. 9:15 PM - Finally informed that no technician was available until the next morning. At no point was I proactively updated, and no immediate solution was offered until I insisted. 4. Poorly Communicated Alternative Accommodation Only after pressing for a resolution was I offered a cabin. The instructions given were simply: "It's the cabin with the red roof and red deck. You can find it on the campsite." I explained multiple times that I was facing Highway 109 and needed clear directions. Instead of providing assistance, the staff member repeatedly said, "You can easily find it, it's the only one with a red roof." After a 10‑hour drive, breaking down my tent in the dark, and navigating a nearly pitch‑black campground, this vague guidance was unacceptable. A basic courtesy would have been for a staff member to meet me, use a flashlight, or at least point me in the correct direction. Instead, I was left to wander the property alone until another camper kindly helped me locate the cabin. To add to the disappointment, the "farm" itself was poorly maintained. The gazebo area was covered in bird droppings, and the netting above it was improperly secured, trapping several birds -- some alive, some dead. The overall environment did not resemble a well‑kept campground. A long‑term guest named Tom allowed his husky to roam off‑leash. At one point, the dog nearly urinated on my tent. He also did not pick up after his dog. The bathroom facilities were equally substandard. There was only one toilet booth and one shower booth for the entire area, both built with noticeably poor workmanship. I have never encountered a campground with such limited and inadequate restroom facilities. 5. No Support During Checkout At 10:14 PM, I called again for checkout guidance and was hung up on. My follow‑up voicemail was never returned. I checked out at 4:00 AM, left the key inside, and locked the door without any staff interaction. 6. Unprofessional Call the Next Day The following afternoon at 3:42 PM, I received a call asking whether I had checked out and how they were supposed to access the cabin without the key. This made it clear that no one had listened to the voicemail I left the night before, where I explained exactly how I checked out and where I left the key. The staff member then made an issue out of not having a spare key -- which raises concerns about their preparedness if a guest ever loses one. When I explained again that I had left a voicemail and followed reasonable checkout steps, she responded rudely, saying: "We upgraded you to a cabin and I hope you are happy being a rude guest," and then hung up on me. This level of unprofessionalism is unacceptable in any hospitality setting.
