They have their own food services that are open all hours in case you arrive late and none of the nearby food places are open, gas stations are abundant in the area, there is a grocery store not far from the hotel, and it is right off Interstate 85. They did not have the type of room we initially reserved so we got to stay on the 3rd floor in a suite. I called it "the rock star suite." My family checked out this hotel before we came to stay here & the staff was kind enough to give them a tour and let them see a room. They also told them that they took pride in the hotel & are very strict about cleanliness. They weren't kidding; this has to be the cleanest & most spacious hotel I have ever stayed in. There is a train that comes through here but when it came by, I didn't really feel it. At best it felt more like you had turned on a vibrating bed. I also heard no noise from it. If you are not a smoker or have sensitivity to cigarette smoke, make sure to ask for a second or third floor room since those apparently have smoke smell in them. They also have free breakfast from 6-9:30 with a way to make your own waffles. I did this & my waffle was a little burned but turned out okay. I'd definitely stay here again if I were in the area.

However, my aunt and uncle got this huge suite that had a full size kitchen (with plenty of EMPTY cabinets...why have that many cabinets if you're not going to have plates, cups, or even untensils!) refrigerator (ice machine didn't work) and a fire place that also didn't work. I have no idea what they paid for it but I hope they got some of their money back. All in all, it was a clean, safe place to stay...just don't overpay!

BUT THE BREAKFAST BAR... I was mostly impressed with how well everything was stocked and fresh looking. Not picked over. Two waffle makers, one mini!!! The oatmeal had several toppings, including nuts and brown sugar to add. And if you're a kid or just happen to like really sweet waffles, they got the toppings at the waffle machine sprinkles, syrups, all kinds of stuff, whipped cream, the real deal. Anyways we checked in at a later time due to the celebrations, came into our room, and literally didn't even turn the lights on we were so tired. When we woke up the next morning and were just hanging out I noticed this black spot by the vent at the corner top of the room. I thought maybe it was dust and sent my husband up ontop of a chair to see if it was what I thought it was. Well he works for hvac for a living and said it was black mold that moved from the vent up to the ceiling and was from excessive moisture. Side note: I'm allergic to mold so that's a huge problem. He went downstairs and spoke to the front desk who called the manager who had no care In the world that I was allergic, all he said was give them $25 off, I mean at least give us a comp room, but he said because we didn't complain about it the night we checked in that was all he could do. We left info for him to call us because I wasn't happy with this outcome. Meanwhile we had to leave right then so maintenance could go in and deal with the issue. Our room number was 302 Monday 8/17/26 the manager called and stated that they did their research and it wasn't mold. It had white fuzz on it so it's for sure mold. Anyone can tell. And when we asked what it was if it wasn't mold he did not answer and proceeded to tell us that they would give us $50 off but that was all they could do. If it wasn't mold then why did they make us leave and give us back some money? I told him I'm allergic and I'm now coughing and very stuffy and he said then go to the hospital and bring me a note. He would have paid way more in hospital bills and then being sued by my insurance than the $50 but he didn't care because at that point it's out of his hands. So attached is the pictures of the mold in the room, so everyone can see it. The better business bureau has been contacted and hopefully this does not happen to anyone else. Also my father stayed in room 307 and the battery in his door handle went dead and we were told that it would be a 3-2 hour wait, while my kids were in the pool and we needed to get ready for dinner. Nothing but an inconvenience to all.

I normally stay at the Hampton inn which has a much bigger selection for breakfast then Quality had during the good day yesterday and are around the corner but they were full, evidently Spectrum is doing work in the area and there lot is full of Spectrum Vans

I am writing this review for anyone who should consider staying here before they go out of buisness as they seem to be bound to based on the condition of this place. Considering the rack room rate was only 40 dollars, I was pleasantly surprised to see the cleanliness of my room. I did see a bug but I prepared myself for as much since I had a first floor room in North Carolina in the fall. The archaic television in my room did not work as it has a security device installed that renders it useless should someone try to hook up a dvd player or a game console to it. Even if you have no intention of doing this, the tv will not operate until someone reports it to the front desk and maintenace comes out and fixes it. Unfortunately for me, maintenance was not available. The bathroom is woefully tiny and you have to push the shower curtain aside to use the toilet. The parking lot seems seedy even in the day and the unmaintained pool does little to help this places aesthetic. During my visit, I believe that someone was living in the parking lot as I saw a mattress and some sheets next to the dumpster and a small grill next to a plastic lawn chair in one of the parking spaces. Overall, this is the cheapest I have ever paid for a hotel and I find it adequat for the lone traveler. Also, it is less than a mile walking distance to the Lexington bbq festival. If you are not a lone traveler, I would pass, also, if you booked the room online, I would call ahead to make sure you got the room you requested as I ended up with one king bed instead of the two doubles I requested.

Then yesterday I witnessed 4 roach-like bugs running around I asked to change rooms. She offered bug spray to me for ME to kill em. I still demanded another room n she argued if I kill em it would be fine to stay in that room. I insisted on moving to Another room n she replied in disgust how she'd have to clean another room. But the motel was pretty much empty. So she finAlly gAve me a room but it was a Smoking room. Being a non-smoker I returned asking for a non-smoking room and she told me all of those had bad heaters or a toilet problem except for my original room. But in both rooms I've been in the heater cuts off and the room turns cold. In this current room, cigarette burns in the bed and it reeks of stale nicotine. Explains the poorly kept room. I contacted Wyndham regarding this also. They never got back to me. So I am no longer a Wyndham rewards member. I will not stay in a Wyndham facilities again. They are getting nastier and nastier. The rooms are dirty, poorly kept, and uncomfortable. If they don't honor their members. I have no time for the membership or their facilities.

I gave him $100 and he gave me back $40 because he didn't have change. Once we headed to the room, the comforter was filthy like someone was walking on it with dirty bare feet. I pulled back the sheets and it looked like they just made the bed after the last stay. It was gross. Hair and make up on the sheets. I complained and he got attitude and said I didn't have to stay there and I could leave. He then proceeded to try to get new sheets. He came with what looked like another set of used sheets rolled up on his hand and tried to hand them to me. We had enough so we decided to leave and find another place. It was all a pretty ridiculous experience.

Very friendly front desk lady. They are right off the highway, so if traffic noise really bothers you, this place does tend to get that. But it's pretty quiet late at night. Also there are no elevators.
