Traveler BEWARE! This place is nothing more than a shady crack motel. I booked online based on being a recommended hotel for an event I was attending in Madras. The pictures made the place look budget friendly yet clean. I arrived at 11:30 pm after a very long drive. When I arrived I was horrified! It was run down and there were shady people milling around in the parking lot. I was given a key to my room, however the door handle was broken and about to fall off! When I entered the room it was dirty, filthy, and looked like it had been painted by a 5 yr old. The air conditioner was not set properly into the wall and you could see insulation. There was a window in the bathroom and when I checked it, it was NOT locked. Someone could have opened it from the outside and climbed in. I went back out into the area with the bed and thought something looked "odd" about the peep hole on the door. Upon closer inspection I discovered that it was an actual HOLE in the door! I can only wonder about what kind of nefarious stuff has been going on with unsuspecting guests. I returned to the front desk and informed the clerk of the issues and demanded a refund. She printed out an invoice then wrote down two phone numbers to call if I had not received my refund in 3 days. 5 days later and still no refund. I have just called both numbers and one comes back as a possible scam number and the 844 number just rings. So she gave me TWO fake phone numbers. I looked at my booking confirmation and it has a 541 number which is Oregon. Nope-it goes to a call center in India where they say they "attempted" to call the front desk but did not receive and answer. This place appears to be owned by a foreign company called Oyo and is a SCAM. I recommend anyone who has been scammed by this motel, contact local law enforcement and file a complaint with the Oregon Attorney Generals office. read more

I booked a room here for 3 nights for a festival. When I showed up at 7:30pm, they had canceled my reservation. I had to last minute find a campground for 3 nights and get camping gear. They then proceeded to charge me for the room that they gave to someone else and now refuse to refund me. They stated that you have to check in by 5pm. That leaves a 2 hour window to check in. Total scam. I'm sure they canceled so they could get more money for the room. Update: I have reached out to the company over 4 times to resolve the issue of them stealing over $500 from me. They refuse to let me speak with a supervisor, say it has been sent to the escalation team and told me I would be contacted to resolve the issue. 3 months later I have yet to hear from them. read more

Stayed there for one night and left before dawn. The rooms are filthy and outdated, insulation barely there, The area is terrible, I was approached by two homeless while waiting for the front desk clerk to come and check me in. Website says "dogs of all size" sgn says "dogsunders 30lbs" so I have no idea what was what. Only one window had curtains so there was light filtering in all night long. If there was a desginated pet area I don't know where it was, I was given a checkout time and then the guy at the desk scampered off. Checkout? Well the office was closed so I had to drop my keys (which were sticky when given to me) into the mail slot and hope for the best. This place is terrible, run down and not. a great stay even for a single night. If we have to pass through again then we will look for another plavce to stay, I wouldn't send my worst enemy here. Yes, 2 stars but what can you expect in the middle of nowhere with no vacancy for a hundred of miles around on a Memorial Day weekend. Even all the campsites were full. I added an extra star because the staff were really nice. There were two or was it three other motels town but this was the only one that had vacancy. We didn't want to have to make the ride in the dark attempting to dodge deer at night on a motorcycle. Bas soon as we came back from dinner, the no vacancy sign was up. We had our camping gear with us. I pulled back the top covers and we slept in our sleeping bags. I didn't want any part of those sheets. I call it upgraded camping as I had my very own bathroom. The room does look like it was painted and the gray laminate floors are newer. Everything else is outdated. The bathroom was usable. Except it ran out of hot water by the time Hubby wanted to take a shower. There was still plenty when I took one. All the rooms must share a water tank so it's basically a you snooze, you lose sort of thing. This was a roof over our heads. It beats having to find an area to pitch our tent on the side of the road. It definitely was an experience. read more

We didn't expect a great place for the price, but itwas worse than we could imagine. The good: we weren't charged a pet fee for our dog. The manager was friendly and tried to be helpful. The TV worked. The bad: it was supposed to be a unit with a kitchenette. It had a sink and a stove top. But, not one utensil to cook with or eat with. No coffee maker. No microwave. A small fridge that worked. The ugly: the driveways and parking was under ice and snow. Large gap under door letting the freezing weather blow in. No trash can or waste basket. Blinds were dirty and broken. Heater was so noisy I had to turn it off to sleep. read more

OYO Hotels will rip you off, don't book here! They pre-charged me for a deluxe room then gave me a standard one but refused to refund the difference. The booking process is cumbersome, and trying to deal with the business in person is a half-hour ordeal per call, at minimum. I would give negative stars if I could. My son did the Gambler 500 (look it up, they do awesome things that make our world better!) and became very ill on his way home. Being an amputee, he developed a serious infection on his stump and heat exhaustion made it much worse. It was not safe for him to continue driving for several hours. I called the hotel's call center and booked him a room to rest in, out of the heat, until I could get there. Being 5 hours away, he needed cool air and rest while he waited. I was told twice during that call that it was all paid and set, he just needed to go to the desk and check in. When he got there the woman at the desk demanded an additional $50 in cash, refusing to accept my card for that additional unexpected charge. I told her to just hold the reservation while I figured out how to get funds to my son. She CANCELED the reservation and claimed that I canceled it. She then denied a refund and tried to add more to the charge already on my card. I called the call center and got nowhere, so I asked my attorney friend to get involved. They finally agreed to refund my card after she contacted them. My son ended up waiting outdoors, in the sun and heat, for nearly 5 more hours before I arrived to bring him home - I could not put him into another hotel due to this crappy human refusing him the room and holding up my funds. read more

Avoid this place like parents avoid talking to their children about safe sex. TL/DR: Spend the extra $15 and stay at the lovely Econolodge instead. My experience: -Given $60 room that is covered in cigarette ash, ashy fingerprints, garbage, with pillows on floor and trash (cigarette butt and former occupant's knife) everywhere. -Requested clean room. -Given mostly clean room with cigarette burns on duvet, long black hairs on sheets, and stains on (otherwise clean-seeming) towels. -Crumbs, other small junk on floor -Unspeakable smears left by someone picking their nose on the toilet (please do see a doctor) -Plastic bag politely left by former tenant wrapped around smoke detector to facilitate smoking -9/10ths used toilet paper left on back of toilet; toilet paper roll holder missing The following day upon checkout, we asked to leave our car in the (entirely empty) parking lot so we could ride our bikes for a few hours. She told us, "Yes, if you are going to stay longer. No problem! No if you're not going to stay longer." I would have added a star for friendliness, and maybe I'm being petty, but this seemed to be an easy way to add to customer service. We are no strangers to sleeping in cheap hotels, but thanks to paying $60/night for an uncomfortably small and questionably clean room, I am now writing my first review ever! Thanks Yelp! read more

I'd absolutely agree with some of the other reviewers. It's adequate but barely that. It's adequate in that it's a roof over your head and a door for security. It was quiet which was nice. It smelled like pee tho and the mattress felt like a palette with a top sheet put over it. Also, ice buckets but no ice machine. I stayed at this hotel for one night a few months ago, and I would describe it as "adequate", but not great. My room felt small, and the place seemed run-down. The bathroom was tiny. During the night, I was woken up by the sound of rain dropping on the air conditioner unit outside. They offer free wireless internet, but it's a little slow. The best way to describe this place is to talk about its pillows. You know that sad orphan child in the movies that drags around a threadbare, ragged doll that hasn't seen stuffing for years. That is exactly what the pillows are like. They are thin enough to use as rolling paper. The first room we were given had cigarettes, bottle caps, and ash on the...everything. We asked for a second room which didn't have any of the aforementioned items, but it did have a plastic bag wrapped around the smoke detector so you could smoke without getting in trouble. I have no problem with cheap hotels, but this is truly a sad place. You would be much better served by the Econo Lodge just up the road for 10-15 dollars more. read more

Don't be fooled by the exterior - it's an old motel but the rooms are refurbished and just fine for the price - clean carpet, clean linens, clean everything, human sized towels, fridge & microwave, even shampoo and a hair dryer. The beds are a bit firm (hard) but comfy enough. The manager is a character, with a well-loved and friendly rescue kitty she keeps safe on the lawn by a halter and long leash. The motel itself is pet-friendly as well, if you need that. Madras is a good alternative to Bend on weekends especially, because any and all hotels in Bend cost more and sell out really fast! We had to backtrack to Madras just to get a room on a Saturday night. Glad we did. Look for this motel when you're headed northbound on hwy 97, as you may not see it if you're heading south towards Bend. read more
