It is what it is. I would only stay here again if I had to- as an option to camping in the rain. Very nice check in gal, but this is in a very noisy road. Rooms are in need of overhauling. Noisy plumbing from neighboring rooms. Way overpriced at 99.00 a night. Didn't even attempt the 'free' breakfast. This town fit our itinerary and they are pet friendly which is why we stayed here. We will make a different plan if we come this way again. read more

Had a full hot meal of eggs and sausage this morning with an English muffin and yogurt, my honey had biscuits and gravy! The room is nice love the wild horse pictures, and there is a soft carpet instead of hard floors & the hot water never runs out. And they have a real blanket on the bed. The bed is stiff but that being the only downside I'd say yes it's a very nice hotel! read more

Kinda ghetto is my overall impression of this inn. I usually use Hilton or IHG for work which is probably tainting my perception, but you can check the pics and see for yourself. Every light in my big ass room was a different type of bulb other than the "yikes" factor vanity mirror fluorescents. Flooring type varied by room. I got room 212 that has two entrances but only one is usable when you arrive as one door was deadbolted. Very outdated hotel for a price akin to a Hampton Inn without an elevator, a vending machine stocked with bottled water, ambiance or adequate parking. Don't expect a view. Mine made me more grateful than usual for blackout shades. I struggled to find a place to fit my compact SUV rental. Watch yourself on that corner of the nightstand. I almost clipped it with my head when I woke up. The front desk was very nice but they offer nothing more than a friendly welcome, instructions and a fond farewell. WiFi was solid and the room was larger than I anticipated. AC did its job with aplomb. read more

This is a two-story hotel with outdoor entrances, a small pool, small exercise room and a laundry room. The hotel very dated but clean. First of all, our receptionist was very sweet and did her best to accommodate our requests for a first story room. One of our rooms was upstairs with no elevator but she arranged for our luggage to be brought up to our room and it was very timely. The room is very basic, one desk and chair, a bed, microwave, refrigerator and a coffee pot. The lighting is very poor with only three lamps that barely light the room. The air conditioner worked well except at night it turned on and off and on and off and it kept us awake. We stayed two days and I asked for room service, our towels were changed out nicely but our bed was kind of just thrown together and not even made. They do provide breakfast in the morning which is a plus. There are a few restaurants within walking distance as well. read more

Update- The owner, Clifford Reynolds is a joke. He refunded 30 dollars back and when I asked if he thought that was okay, he said yes. Are you serious? Who in there right mind would expect a customer to pay for a room that had black mold, dog pee, fingernails in the sheets and no lock on the front door?? Original Post- This place is disgusting and staff does not understand what kind of health and safety risks their rooms can lead too. We stayed in a pet friendly room for one night, Room 116. Upon arriving we noticed there was dog pee along with other stains on the carpet and it was not vacuumed. We than noticed the BLACK MOLD ALL OVER the bathroom, a FINGERNAIL in our bed, the lock on the door was broken, our room phone didn't work, there was some kind of residue on the bedsheets (adults should know what kind of residue I am talking about) and it smelt disgusting! We left the door open to get some fresh air in since it was so nasty. When we called the front desk to let them know all of our complaints they did not help. Instead the gal wrote all my complaints down and said she would give it to management. My boyfriend even handed the fingernail to the male who was working the next morning! I have yet to hear back from management. I have gotten in contact with the State of Oregon who put me in contact with the Jefferson County Environmental Health. They will be looking into this hotel. This was the worst experience we have ever had in our hotel stays . The Quality Inn in Madras , Or is very disappointing ..Our family of 6 stayed two nights in two separate rooms . Our Room was in poor shape * Coffee pot was full of dirty coffee from another guest that stayed . * The PTac was broken and change filter light was on , it made some much noise rattling all night I got no sleep * The king size bed was broken and made a CLUNKY noise when you sat down on it . *Bath room door would not shut, and it would swing in to you while sitting on the toilet. *Closet door was broken off the hinges . * It smelled nasty . But the worst part of our experience was the General manager his name is Clifford Reynolds a total piece of SHIT would not acknowledge that our room was found in a less than desirable condition. I had Emailed him , placed 4 calls to him and called the Quality in customer service hotline and they acknowledged that he is very difficult to work with and wished me luck . At the end of the day I expected Clifford to do the right thing and he did not!! We end up leaving Saturday and cutting our stay one day short . All I wanted was to be refunded the other night and Clifford refused to do so.. I'd give him a ZERO ON his very poor customer service .. We will never stay there again ..... read more

I wish I could leave a zero star review. Our trailer hub broke off as we drove into Madras and we needed a place to stay overnight while we had it repaired - we were stressed and didn't have the chance to compare local hotels. This Quality Inn was the first hotel we saw and we just went for it. First thing we noticed was that the pool and hot tub were empty and filled with construction tools even though we paid full price for our room and they did not tell us at check in that they were out of commission. We walked passed the construction equipment to get to our room on the ground floor. The room had working A/C and it was over 100+ degrees that day which gave us a temporary sigh of relief. That relief turned to concern when we turned on the lights and got a glimpse of the horror-movie-scene which was the carpet. The carpet was covered in mystery stains; dark red big stain (literally looked like blood) between the chair and the bed, giant puddle looking stain under the A/C unit, and smaller (but equally concerning) stains throughout the room. When my boyfriend picked up the remote to the TV it felt greasy and we ended up wiping everything with alcohol wipes. I unfolded a bathroom towel to use as a barrier between the bed pillow and my head. When I opened the towel there were long dark brown hairs folded up inside; neither my boyfriend or I have long dark brown hair. When I grabbed a different, smaller towel to wash my face with, it also had (someone else's) hair folded up inside. At 8am the next morning my boyfriend went to meet the mechanic and I kept sleeping. A couple minutes later I heard people yelling to each other right outside my door. Turns out they were construction workers that were there to do a full demolition of the room next door to me. At around 8:30/8:45 the constant banging and construction noises started. Literally on the wall adjacent to our room. Did I mention we had our two dogs with us? So every time there was a loud bang on the wall our bigger dog would bark because he thought someone was knocking on our door. Meanwhile my little dog was terrified and shaking the whole time. (We were not told ahead of time that this construction would be happening. We were charged full price for this room.) When I went to take the dogs outside the walkway had all the furniture from the room next door piled up blocking that direction. I looked inside the room next door and there were construction workers pulling up all the carpet. I looked for a grass area to walk my dogs and to my surprise there wasn't one. The poop bag dispensers in the parking lot were empty. Most "dog friendly" hotels have an area designated for them to use the bathroom. I ended up walking my dogs on a gravel parking lot out back. While in the parking lot I noticed all the mattresses that they were throwing away from all the rooms that they were renovating. These mattresses were disgusting and covered in stains. It gave me a terrible mental image of the mattress that I had just slept on. Because we were not given a renovated room - we were given one of the last non-renovated rooms that was directly next door to a room being renovated. I assumed hotels cleaned or switched out their mattresses regularly. I work remotely and had no choice but to try to do some work from that hotel room. I could not take calls and had to be muted throughout my zoom meeting and was unable to present. The loud construction noises continued into the afternoon. The mechanic needed more time to fix our hub so I, unfortunately, had to extend our check out. As the mechanic continued to work we eventually realized we might have to stay another night at this dreaded hotel. In order to stay past noon we had to pay for yet another full price night. $130/night for some of the worst accommodations we have ever experienced (and we travel regularly). My boyfriend asked for a discount on the room considering all the circumstances and the woman at the desk said she didn't have the authority to do that but said she'd speak to her manager. A week passes - Teena from the front desk writes us an email. She says she spoke with the management and they could not offer us a discount on the room but not to worry because all of the hotel was now renovated and the pool and hot tub are fully functional again. All the issues WE experienced have since been "resolved". Her email response to us completely negated the fact that our experience was terrible. We were expecting to receive an email from her management considering she didn't have the authority to give discounts. Her email was unexpected and unnecessary. She essentially emailed us just to be condescending and rude because she nothing new to say or offer. We will never stay at the Madras Quality Inn again. We will not spend our money with Quality Inn or any Choice Hotel again after this experience. read more

The room was so drafty and so noisy with all of the cars driving by all night I didn't get any sleep at all, with the door closed I could see all of the lights around the edge of the door in room 117, the mattress was not very comfortable either. It was not a very good value. read more

This Quality Inn surpassed my expectations for my one night stay as I was driving through this town. Starting with the front desk, for both check out and check in, they were courteous, helpful and just plain nice. How refreshing! The room was clean and the bed was comfortable and nice sheets and pillows. The refrigerator with a freezer is such a bonus to keep food while traveling. I'll stay here next time I'll traveling through on this beautiful route! read more

I'm a little jaded when it comes to Quality Inns, but this one was truly nice. New owners fixing it up--everything clean, good quality, very inviting lobby if you need to wait for someone to arrive. Quiet room, quiet A/C unit (!) worked great when it was in the 90s outside. Owner is super friendly and speaks Korean fluently, in case that is important to your group. Located walking distance to restaurants. When Bend, Oregon is booked up, crowded, and so expensive, this is a good alternative to stay and enjoy all the local parks and other attractions. (Pool is currently under repair, btw.) read more

I was surprised by this place. I was skeptical going in to it based in n some of the reviews, but inside was nice. My room number 207 was clean, smelled fresh, and most of all quiet. During check in it was quite busy and I asked the front desk for a quiet room if at all possible she didn't have a lot of options left but happily did what she could. I didn't hear road noise throughout the night. I didn't partake of the breakfast so I can't comment on that. It was a block away from Madtown Fitness which is a great drop in gym. read more

Have stayed 3 or 4 times in the last few months and it is always reasonably priced, quiet, (have never had noisy neighbors) very clean comfortable rooms, friendly, helpful staff, has laundry facilities on site, and breakfast is always great and well stocked with biscuits & gravy, potatoes, muffins, waffles, fruit, yogurt and more. I have stayed at the Quality Inn in Madras since before it was quality Inn, and it had always been an inexpensive, yet excellently well furnished, quiet place to stay while visiting family in Madras. The Rooms have been spotless, the amenities outstanding. The breakfast alone is five stars--coffee, yogurt, eggs, muffins, waffles, bagels--but the best part is the staff. They have always been both professional, yet down to earth and friendly. The people who have complained here maybe got the wrong hotel for their review. But I'm here right now, and it's as good as it's always been. I don't stay anywhere else in central Oregon. read more

I found the price cheaper than other hotels around the area so I was a bit weary. The receptionist was friendly, the room was very clean, the free breakfast was good (waffles, fruit, cereal, yogurt, bagel, eggs, & sausage), the pool was crystal clear. I was looking for a place to stay while passing through that was animal friendly for my parents and I we found quality inn which was fantastic that they allowed animals! HOWEVER immediately upon arriving the woman told my father to park our tailor in the back of the building because there were going to be construction workers coming to get rooms for the night. (We plus one other vehicle were the only ones there/this was mid day) he did what she asked but as the night grew on I went to check on the vehicle where there were NO lights, no cameras, and no one around where a trailer full of belongings were. It didn't feel right I got my mom and moved it back (at night where NOW there were only ten cars/not booked at all and our vehicle could easily be where we can see it). Into the night we also heard multiple fights break out (hotel is directly across from a trailer park) and I got no sleep as well as my parents because we did not feel safe whatsoever. In addition to that the room did look clean however it smelled of ammonia which I know could be used to clean but again I don't know what it was for. I always stay here when I'm passing through Madras. The staff are all very friendly and always make it a point that the customer is always right. The breakfast is always great, I always get the biscuits and gravy. It's right next to the main road so every now and then you can hear semi's going through but its not that bad. Way way over priced. This is the kind of motel I would expect to pay half of what I paid. For $165 I expected much more. The room was fairly clean aside from a small stain or two in the bedding and heavily stained carpets I think the Motel 6 or Econolodge would have been a better choice for us. On a positive note, the desk clerks were very nice and the breakfast was good. I felt safe there with my 12 year old child. The price was just way too high for the kind of place it is. read more

Discounts for longer stays, nice pool and jacuzzi this place is the best in Madras unless you want to spend $150-200. On a recent trip to Madras, we were denied our reservation at the Inn at Cross Keys Station (apparently "pet room" does not include cats, even though this is stated nowhere when you make a reservation on their site). However, Quality Inn saved the day! We had traveled 300 miles with our 19 year old cat and were desperate for a place to stay. A quick phone call to Quality Inn, and the representative quickly found an available room for us we could stay in with our cat. Even better - they were slightly less expensive, had excellent customer service throughout the stay (provided a great pizza restaurant recommendation!), provided a better room, and a decent continental breakfast (better than many others I have had). I would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Madras and especially to those traveling with pets - they are pet-friendly! read more

On July 23rd I tried to book a room at the Quality inn in Madras Oregon and the "General Manager" named Clifford Reynolds flat out lied to my face multiple times about the price of the room. Every time I questioned him about his lie he then told another lie. Even the other person behind the desk was looking at him with huge eyes at what he was saying to us. He was aggressive and rude and tried to swindle us into paying a higher rate then we needed to. He then told me he was the owner of the business and that we could find a room elsewhere. What it came down to was he only had 2 rooms available and wanted to get the most money he could out of those rooms. Why do you have a sign in your entrance stating you accept AAA if you're then going to try and trick potential customers into paying full price for the room? Why would you tell potential customers the quoted price of the room was at the AAA discount price only to later admit that it was actually the full regular price of the room. Why would you then tell potential customers that they have to pay that price because you had previously rented those rooms out to someone else and they cancelled so the rooms needed to be rented at the other customers price, why that makes no sense? Why would you then tell potential custome you own the business when you indeed do not own the business? I will continue to speak the truth about the encounter I had at this business with this above said person. Taking advantage of people is not a way to operate a business or live your life. read more
