When my son finally found someone (that guy) he said "I saw you when you came in and knew you went to the wrong place...". Ok.... So you just let us stand around for 12 min, before we went searching for you? He wouldn't even give us more than "it's down the road." Directions to the other place. That guy was an awful first impression. The lady at our location was lovely, but he made the initial feeling stick with me. So, customer service sucked because of him. I had friends that came to meet us from 30 min away and had to wait an additional 20 min thanks to that guy. Would I suggest it? If the service continues like it was... no. Fun themes though. I hear they moved to new ownership, so maybe that's what is going on.

The Bad: We checked in on a Friday between 5-6 and the staff was not welcoming. They were just "going through the motions" and there was no joy in their work. When we made our way to the room, it was obviously well used and not as clean as we are used to when staying at a Hampton Inn. The carpet was "tired" and looked like it could use a good cleaning. There were smudges on the mirrors, paint peeling from the ceiling in the shower, and a giant cobweb hanging down over the sink in the bathroom. The ugly: Two of the bed pillows (out of 8) where very well loved and did not have any life/support left in them so we called the front desk to get them replaced. The agent we spoke with stated that they do not deliver to the room so we needed to come to the front desk to get replacement pillows. So when I took the pillows to the front desk, I genuinely felt that I was inconveniencing the staff. When I described why I was turning the pillows in, I watched as the staff member that I handed the pillows to openly mocked me as she described my concerns to a fellow staff member. When in Utica, I would avoid this location.

I always see a multitude of wildlife. They just got a new boat with a shade for the big pond, so you can hang out all day on the water without getting sunburn. They have some nice amenities like a tennis court, volleyball court, basketball court, game room/arcade, a nice size in the ground outdoor pool, billiards room and another smaller pond for fishing. There's a nice rolling stream too. The view from the top of the hill is absolutely stunning. The staff is very pleasant and helpful. Pictures don't do it justice. I can't wait to go back.

Once we figured out the route we found it to be quite convenient to Cooperstown and surrounding attractions, and the views are magnificent. The stars at night were incredible. I loved the area and was glad to be away from the traffic and congestion up and down the lakefront. The owners of the Fieldstone Farm, John and Jeannie, were very friendly and accommodating. Upon arrival front desk had a line of 10 people out in front of it with only one agent at 4:30 in the afternoon. The room itself Smelt, extremely musty and damp like the windows had never been opened the corners room with dingy with dirt and the utility sink of the room was dirty. The complementary breakfast was extremely sparse. No protein whatsoever except cold overcooked hard boiled eggs. Upon checking out, we tried to get a portfolio copy, and the manager wouldn'toblige us, then a verbally and physically assaulted me. This property accommodates and emphasizes their accommodations to transient construction workers, they are not interested in small time family travel. This experience will give us second thought about booking a Wyndham Microtel again.
