Treated myself to a weekend retreat here. Wish I could give 10 stars, because it was perfect! Room was immaculate, with many antique furnishings throughout the Inn that have been lovingly cared for and preserved. Breakfasts were outstanding (leek and spinach quiche, with apple cider-basted sausage; rosemary and lemon French toast with lemon curd, REAL maple syrup and bacon cooked to perfection; pancakes with berries - each beyond delicious!). Chef is happy to accommodate dietary restrictions - she takes great care to make sure you're nourished with nutritious food. Staff were so welcoming and eager to please, from the minute I walked through the door. Truly a wonderful stay and I can't wait to come back! read more

Campanella Suite was really nice. Lower level close to everything but extremely quiet. This B&B is highly recommended when in the area. Staff is friendly, helpful and overall excellent. Food at breakfast was fantastic and service was even better. Coffee yummy. Sheets on the bed our group of 6's overall favorite. Everyone enjoyed and mentioned their sheets in their suite. Bathroom and showers are modern and overall everything was clean. This is a must stop and stay. read more

My husband stayed at this boutique B&B on our trip in Cooperstown recently. It was absolutely wonderful. We stayed on the Chance suite which spacious and luxurious. The entire hotel's grounds were honestly beautifully designed. The staff was also so wonderful and happy got give their recommendations or just have a quick chat with you. The breakfast in the morning was delicious and you could tell was made with the freshest of ingredients. The first day our breakfast was a potato quiche with a banana bread muffin and sausage and it was delicious. The chef even brought out a pear dessert she just made and was delicious. The next days breakfast was a French toast with the bread being fresh made rosemary and the maple syrup and lemon curd spread was incredible. The coffee here is also unmatched! The inn has a little basket of tiny oatmeal cookies available all day for the guests to take and they were the cutest and most delicious little cookies. I cannot recommend this inn enough. I have no doubt that on our next trip up to Cooperstown we will be staying at this wonderful place again. read more

This B&B was one of the highlights of our trip to Cooperstown. Not only was the historical building gorgeous and beautifully (painstakingly!) restored, but the entire staff was warm and welcoming. The breakfast was DELICIOUS (thanks, Chef!), the in room amenities were top quality, and the room itself was cozy and quiet. It's walkable to the Baseball HOF and other Main Street attractions. This boutique Inn (not a B&B - but has similarities) is just about everything you could ask for or expect out of an upstate NY Inn: The facility itself is Historically respectful, yet aesthetically modern & pleasing. The owners, Keith and John, are gracious and caring hosts who truly understand the nature and definition of "hospitality". In fact, all of their staff are exceptional human beings who truly take pride in everything they do...and the end results are projected in the quality of the accommodations i.e.,(premier bedding/sheets, cleanliness of your suite, exceptional chef prepared food offerings, "on-point" wait staff service and front desk responsiveness). With all of these fine points one would think it might be "too stuffy" for some lodgers, but this is simply not the case. The tenor is casual, calming and cordial, with some frequent good humor to boot! We have lodged here at least 9 times over the years and have stayed in two different suites (the Twain and the Wyeth). Both were beautifully appointed and met our needs. I do encourage potential lodgers to discuss your space requirements/preferences with Nick, John or Keith as each suite varies in in square footage. There are plenty of photos on their website and ones from my phone simply do not do the Inn the justice it deserves. My family and I stayed at the Landmark Inn for 3 nights and were so in love with this bed and breakfast. It is located 2-3 blocks away from Main Street where the Baseball Hall of Fame is located. It's also a 5 minute walk away from a CVS and grocery store. It was such a great location! When we arrived, we were welcomed by the staff and showed to our room. Everything was squeaky clean, the bed and sheets were sooooo comfortable. We slept like babies. Despite being such an old building, it didn't smell old lol. The furniture was comfortable and we loved how everything was decorated. There were tons of books for us to read provided by the Inn. Downstairs we had freshly made breakfast and coffee every morning. All the ingredients were extremely fresh and came from local farms or their garden. The staff explained to us what everything was and where everything came from. If you're craving a little more than breakfast, they have the most delicious snacks for their guest. Home made cookies and other freshly made treats! The grounds of the inn were made for relaxing. There was an area under the trees where they had a hammock and chairs next to a peaceful flowing creek. There was also a fireplace where we made s'mores that the inn provided us!! It was so perfect for sitting around a fire and having good conversation with great company. There was also cornhole and tons of space to walk and stretch out. The inn is pet friendly too! The staff at the Landmark Inn were amazing. They are so welcoming and accommodating. If we needed anything, they were able to help us out immediately. At night, the owners made themselves available for anything we needed at the Inn. I've never had service like this before. You will not find this type of service anywhere. Thank you Landmark Inn for taking care of me and my family. We can not wait to come back and make this an annual visit. read more

I was put up in the Landmark Inn for work and my one night stay was nothing but fantastic. When I arrived, I was greeted by the owner who offered me a glass of wine and crackers/cheese. The owner then took me for a tour of the inn and showed me to my room, The Twain Room. They also have cookies, peanuts and crackerjacks as snacks in the main living room and entrance. This is an absolutely beautiful house and had a real vintage feel true to the 1860s when the mansion was built. The owner was even able to give me a little history of the house! The Twain Room was really well done, the bed was incredibly comfortable along with the cozy robe provided. They even give you complementary water and little chocolates upon your arrival. A lot of the furniture felt vintage which really added to the atmosphere was staying here. I notified the Inn of my dietary restriction prior to arriving and the staff was so accommodating to this. I had to leave the next morning around 8am so they made accommodations to serve me breakfast earlier which was so kind of them! Chef Vita, who served me breakfast was so great and accommodating. She offered tea or coffee and juice, fresh fruit and the breakfast of the day which was carrot batter pancakes which she was able to make dairy free. The dish was just fantastic and nothing like I've ever tasted! Such a unique flavor and concept for the pancakes and it was not overdone with carrot flavor. The Chef also offered me bacon but unfortunately I had an early work meeting and didn't want to overdo it with my meal. I really appreciate them accommodating my diet and time schedule and serving a high quality, fresh meal. Not to mention the presentation was very lovely as well. I would highly recommend this inn to those who want very true and fantastic service and breakfast and a staff that goes above and beyond. read more

Superb experience here! The room was appointed beautifully and was set in a separate section of the residence. I wouldn't have wanted to stay in the main house, because of the downstairs room's proximity to the living room and dining room. Our French style room was quite lovely. Small and cozy and quiet. Robin, our host, was helpful - making dinner reservations for us - and the one breakfast we were able to stay for was delicious. The quiche served was light and everything was home cooked on the premises. The lobby and living room are inviting, with a fireplace and table games for all to enjoy. This location is perfect for anyone wishing to see the Baseball Hall of Fame, which is within walking distance of this historic and quaint establishment. Book it! You won't be sorry. read more

The innkeeper Nick, the owners and the staff were so helpful and attentive, the suite was sparkling clean and beautifully decorated, and maybe our favorite part was the (gluten free!) breakfast... One of our favorites in Cooperstown. The room was great, the mattress was super comfortable. I wish the Wi-Fi worked better in our room but we didn't spend much time in there! Breakfast was good - thank you for accommodating my gluten free requests. Please give more sugar when serving coffee - some of us have a morning sugar tooth. They answered all of our questions before arrival and took safety very seriously. Thank you! And if you stay here, please check out the wallpaper in the Inn's downstairs bathroom. We stayed at the Landmark over Thanksgiving weekend. We were in town to visit the Hall of Fame (of course!). Our check-in on Friday afternoon was easy and friendly. We stayed in Casey's Room and it was very nice. It was decorated in nice tones of green. Our bathroom had the dream shower and it was pretty amazing. My only issue with the bathroom was that it was one of those old fashioned sinks with two separate taps for the hot and cold water. It made it very difficult to wash my face. I thought I would use the stopper and fill the sink with warm water but the sink was not properly sealed underneath and so I created a small flood. The bed was not the most comfortable...it sloped so that your feet were slightly higher than your head but it wasn't so bad that I couldn't sleep. The inn itself was decorated very nicely. They have a baseball inspired checkers set with pitchers and batters as the pieces. They also had a nice touch in the foyer: they had ball caps representing all 30 MLB teams and a little table with a basket of peanuts and Cracker Jacks. I spent some time in the parlor and the innkeepers's daughters, who were home for the holiday, were putting up the Christmas tree. I got to chat with them for a little while. They were very friendly. Now on to the best part: breakfast! Both days the food was excellent and VERY filling. Our first morning it was so filling that even after a few hours of walking around at the HoF, we were still full. We had a wonderful stay and it would be nice to go back in warmer weather. read more

What a wonderful experience! We had the pleasure of staying at the Landmark Inn during our recent trip to Cooperstown, and can't say enough good things about it. From the charm of the 19th Century home to the welcoming staff, to the small touches like the fire pit & s'mores on the grounds out back, it was really a lovely experience. The Inn itself is immaculately kept, with all the hominess of an old mansion seamlessly blended with contemporary amenities. Breakfasts were excellent, and made for a perfect start to the day. In the end, the staff is what made our stay exceptional. Welcoming from the start, when we mentioned that we had to leave before breakfast would be served on our final morning, they offered to get to work a bit early, then pack us our food 'to go,' which was all set for us when we arrived. As it turned out, we had a few spare minutes, so they gladly unpacked it all and sat us at a table, so they could serve us a quick 'proper breakfast.' It was one of those small little details that everyone, from the owners on down, clearly pay attention to, and what makes a stay at an inn like Landmark a special experience. If we ever return to Cooperstown, we will surely be staying there! read more

Stayed in the Chance Suite for our Honeymoon. Warmly greeted when we arrived ( Zach was great!!!) Cookies and warm cider were a nice treat after a long drive. The room did look bigger online, but it didn't disappoint. So beautiful and so clean! The mattress was UNBELIEVABLE! So comfy, wow. I'm already missing that amazing tub!! Breakfast each morning was perfect; delicious and not too much food. The owner visited with us the first morning and she was quite lovely. The Inn is a short walk downtown, so it was nice that we didn't have to drive anywhere! Take a few minutes to explore the Inn's common areas. It's so beautiful. Just got back from two (2) days at the Landmark Inn and am pleased to report that the off-season experience was EXCELLENT. The Hemingway Room is old-world charming and downright classic; with the right types of modern amenities and upscale toiletries and high thread count linens to ensure a luxury experience; all coming from a discerning world traveler. The best part, however, is the staff. Keith and John (the owners) were pleasant, warm, welcoming, and insightful. The dining room team was fun to converse with and the breakfast menu was perfect. We are here for two nights, Sunday through Tuesday. We brought my parents as a Christmas gift and they are in the Chase suite, we are in the Henry Suite, both on the ground floor, per our request. The Chase suite has a giant tub surliness with jets and a beautiful walk-in shower. The California King (I believe) bed is stunning. My suite, Henry, overlooks the lovely huge backyard. We are treated with the bubbling rushing sounds of the creek. After our absolute treat of a breakfast (I'll write a new post for that because it deserves its own spotlight), we wandered back to the creek and simply enjoyed the crisp air and bright sunshine, while we listened to the pleasing sound of rushing water. You must allow yourself this simple pleasure. Our spacious suite was exquisite in the details. Explore! You will love the molding, the baseboards, the furniture, and the bed! So comfy with the softest, most luxurious linens. Plenty of pillows. Two generously sized wicker chairs to relax and read after a hearty breakfast. Room service housekeeping was offered but we declined. My stay is not even over yet but I had to write this review now! read more

I stayed here with my son for a night when visiting the HOF during April. The stay was great. The staff was wonderful. The inn was clean and inviting. Cable TV was having an issue this day, but that is not the inn's fault. Good WiFi, great shower. Nice breakfast and they were very cognizant of trying to provide my son with a meal he would enjoy. He ate the omelette they were serving and really enjoyed it. We will be back again. Great town, great place. read more

Great b&b! Such a welcoming and accommodating staff and such a cute house! The breakfast was fresh and yummy (they were happy to accommodate a vegetarian) and free apple cider and cookies and cracker jacks in the house! Staff helped us with dinner reservations. We went in November and the room stayed warm! We were fortunate to stay in a suite and the space was huge with a fire place and an amazing shower. The house is old and the floor is creaky (granted this is part of the charm)!! It is a quiet and peaceful and warm atmosphere but I did feel the need to tip toe and lower my voice... That was my only concern. I would highly recommend staying here to experience the Cooperstown charm and be within walking distance of all the town! read more

Had a pleasure to stay at this place 2 weeks ago and definitely I would come back to this transcending peaceful cute place again! The staff was super friendly and attentive. The owner was super nice and caring. There was such a warm, cozy, and personal feeling during my super short stay. Oh and you must try their blueberry pancakes for breakfast. Seriously, I have had a lot of pancakes in my life from west coast to east coast and this was the best place for it. The pancakes were super fluffy with perfect amount of fresh blueberries drizzled with some maple syrup - it was heavenly. They melt in your mouth and the amount of sweetness was just perfect. We had a GREAT experience here. We cannot recommend this place highly enough. We choose Landmark because of the location, rooms and good reviews. We are SO glad we did. We stayed at Landmark during the off season, in March, so there was plenty of availability. We got a lovely room, Hemingway room, that was the perfect size and had the best bathroom with a deep jetted tub. The bed was so soft and comfortable. The room was warm, quiet and cozy. The team and the Landmark was so full of knowledge and kind. They made great recommendations and even swayed us to go somewhere other than where we were originally planning. We loved the staff! We happened to stay during snow storm Stella and everyone was so kind and accommodating. The owner called around to other businesses to see what was open, lent us shovels to dig out our car and let us extend our stay without issue. She even let my partner store some saranac in the fridge since we were snowed in all day. We didn't make it to the hall of fame since it was closed due to snow. We will absolutely be back and we will definitely stay at the Landmark. read more

One of the best inn/B&B's I've ever stayed in! Their website advertises that it has previously been selected as one of the top 25 small hotels in the US, and after visiting I can see why. Charming and very well kept. The room we were in (Chance Suite) was clean, comfortable, and cozy. The bed was absolutely divine, with incredibly soft sheets. No issues with Wi-Fi connectivity or speed. Breakfast was made fresh each morning and was delicious -- our favorites were the Boursin egg soufflé and the blueberry pancakes. Homemade cookies and other snacks were also available throughout the day. The inn itself is centrally located, a quick walk from downtown Cooperstown and the main street of shops/the Baseball Hall of Fame. Plenty of parking to make trips outside the town easy. The booklet provided by the inn featured recs from each of the staff, a great resource of of places to eat, things to do, etc. -- highly recommend their restaurant recs, we were not disappointed by any of them. And speaking of the staff, they were the cherry on top of this charming inn. The staff and owners were all so friendly, accommodating. Overall great stay, we enjoyed ours so much we even extended our visit an extra day/night. Would strongly recommend! read more

The Inn was beautiful inside and outside - huge front and back yard. Our room was very attractive and comfortable. The bedding was good quality and the bed and pillows super comfy. The In Innkeeper welcomed us and showed us to our room. He gave us information that was very helpful to our plans for the time we spent in Cooperstown. We spent 3 nights here for our daughter's wedding. It's a very charming & intimate B&B with the MOST gracious owner/hostess Robin. Rooms are beautifully decorated, beds comfy with the fluffiest down comforters ever. It's an old house, with creaky wooden floors, fireplaces, cozy living room, & yes, slower plumbing, all of which adds to its charm, I think! Let the hot water run while you brush your teeth & get over it. Handicap accessible room was comfy & well-equipped, easily accessed with ramp & a great deck outside the door. Breakfast was fabulous, with new menu each day, all fresh & delicious. Coffee available 24/7. Robin even stayed up late to accommodate our post-wedding reception in the living room. Location is perfect for Baseball Hall of Fame & other sights. if you want sleek & modern, go elsewhere. If you want to feel welcome & at home, come here. We stayed in room 10 and it was as nice as, if not nicer than some higher end hotels we've stayed in. Tastefully decorated and a beautiful bathroom with the appropriately named, dream shower. I would have stayed in there all day. Only negatives were the walls are very thin so you can hear everything your neighbors are, ah-hem, doing and our "king sized" bed was 2 twins pushed together. I would give it 4.5 stars if i could but its definitely better than 4, hence the 5 stars. Would totally recommend to others and would definitely come back. read more

Incredible stay at the Landmark Inn. The owners are gracious hosts. The rooms are wonderful and the beds are super comfortable. The property is gorgeous. This is what a bed and breakfast experience is all about. We made sure we were up every morning for breakfast not to be missed. Much better than anything you'll get at the diner in town. We stayed at The Landmark Inn for two nights this Valentine's Day, and couldn't have wished for a better experience! In our opinion, this B&B is the best in town! We planned the weekend in advance and visited several other B&Bs in the area prior to choosing The Landmark. Our room was very comfortable, nicely decorated, with a spacious 'dream shower'. There were fireplaces in the living room and the breakfast/dining room. The breakfast was delicious and fresh, different each morning, tables set with a great taste! The best of all was the service, the owners Robyn and Casey, as well as the staff, go above and beyond to make the stay and the breakfast special. Highly recommend!!! read more

We recently stayed at the Landmark and very much enjoyed our stay. Only reason it doesn't get a 5 star rating is the price, a tad pricey. We stayed in room #2 which has it's own private entrance so you do not have to walk through the house everytime. Room # 2 was spacious, well decorated. The furniture and bedding was all very nice. The 2 person jacuzzi was a very nice treat as well has the 7 heads in the rain shower! The negative feedback I'd say is the old plantation style shutters are very old and don't close all the way and there are no curtains. Granted I don't think you can really see in, it was still a little strange not having curtains for peace of mind and privacy. The shutters hadn't been dusted in a while as I saw one small remnant of a cobweb clinging to the top. The walls were tad thin as is expected in an old mansion like this but it wasn't too noisy as most of the guests were very quiet. You could just hear running water, flushing toilets and voices at anytime of day or night. Another note for picky eaters, they do not give you an open menu for breakfast. I personally enjoyed all the selections they gave us but one of us in our duo is a little more picky and didn't like the brocolli quiche offered one morning. The pastries and breads are outstanding so don't skip them. Worth the extra calories. The coffee bar is a nice amenity but other then that the inn doesn't offer any special amenities or activities. So if you are looking for that, this might not be for you. This inn is about relaxtion and privacy. The innkeepers are nice but extremely unobtrussive. They are coridal but leave you to your time away and do not linger for long conversations. If you are B&B extremist, again this might not be the place for you if you really like the face time with an innkeeper. The proximity to town is perfect. It's only about a 10 minute walk to the Hall of Fame. Just enough to get a little exercise and burn off dinner calories...We would definitely stay here again, just need to save up some $$ ahead of time. read more

My wife and I were passing through Cooperstown to go to the Baseball Hall of Fame and stayed one night at the Landmark Inn. The Inn is charming and respectful to its history in decor without being overly kitsch or flourished like many b&bs get caught in. We stayed in Casey's room, a good size for two overnight. The room also features a "dream shower" which is a little excessive but still fun to try even though I could really only think about all the wasted water going down the drain. We enjoyed the complimentary cookies and cider the night we checked in and breakfast in the morning, pumpkin pancakes, bacon, and fruit, was very good. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Really nice location - close to main street but with enough distance that you feel away from it all. Also I loved the free cookies in the afternoon. One absolute pet peeve was the terrible toilet paper - when you're paying $400 a night (it was induction weekend) you can spring for two ply paper. I've never had such bad toilet paper which is pathetic. Other minor annoyances: water takes forever to heat up and TV is old school tube TV. Overall, great place - would stay again if they fixed the toilet paper! read more
