horrible do not use this man. he broke my entire ignition and ruined the pins in it jamming a key aggressively in and out numerous times. i asked him to leave my property and he say and argued with me and had to almost call the police. he ruined my entire ignition and costs me over $1000. he told me to pay and hed tell ke where he worked. why would i pay for a damaged broken ignition he did himself. i was just calling for a key replacement!!! save your money and call someone else read more

I lost my key FOB at an ameusment park and had to get a new one programmed to get home with the kids. I was charged less than the dealership but more than needed. I was told I would pay $150 if he could pull my reprogram code from my car. I spoke with the dealership and looked up directions on how to pull the code from the car. When the guy came he said, without trying to pull it, that he needed the $150 cash up front to call and get a code then another $150 for the FOB. I explained how to pull the code without having to "call" and get it. He gave me the run around and insisted on the $150 cash. I told him he quoted me $150 total and there was someone else I could have had come that was going to do the job for $240 versus the $300 he was now asking. He dropped the price to $280. I gave him the cash and watch as he acted like he was calling for a code that was already pulled from the car system. The key wouldn't work after all that and I had to walk him through how to program the key based on my YouTube directions that again showed that there was no additional code needed other than what was pulled from the car. I told him he could've just charged me for the FOB but the extra expense for the code he supposedly had to call and buy was unnecessary. He wouldn't give me my key until I paid him the remainder. Then I asked to use the YELP coupon advertised and he said no, he already gave me a discount. I told him I bought it through Yelp for this purpose and he said he wouldn't honor it. Now I have to go through Yelp for a refund. Bottom line, shady practices. Take your business elsewhere. read more

He was very friendly and professional, and got the door open in a matter of seconds. Agreed on a set amount. Paid thru Apple Pay and it wasn't "received." Paid on venmo and then was told he would leave me the key. I drive 45 mins to my car location to find it unlocked, window cracked, and HE TOOK THE KEY BACK. demanding more money. I'm out a few hundred dollars, no key, and a crack on my windshield. I can only fathom that the people giving this company 5 stars were people utilizing his service as a locksmith for keys to enter a building and not a vehicle. I did see one review stating he came out and couldn't program the key fob but the reviewer was happy bc instead he found their keys. This was not the case for me. I sent a request for a quote through yelp. I was VERY specific about what I needed. The other companies all gave me a specific price, all between $260-285. I was quoted by the dealership for $375. When I sent my request for quote to this man, he said his "prices start at $99". This was odd and not very specific, especially given how clear I was for what I needed. The word "budget" is also in his company name. He was the first one on my list, so I called him first. He answered right away and asked for my address to see if I was within his mobile range, which was now in text. I then asked if he was going to be able to complete the service today, as I was desperate. He told me he was minutes away. We NEVER agreed on him coming to my house. Then he shows up, gets in my car, looks around and tells me that I needed exactly what I had already told him. He wrote up an invoice, asking me to sign, however when I saw the totals I immediately stopped. He quoted me $15 for a service fee, $179 for the key and $189 for the programming totaling $383. He was charging me MORE THAN THE DEALERSHIP. I immediately asked about it, he said that's how much it is everywhere. I told him no, everyone was between $260-285. He told me that wasn't possible. I asked if he wanted to see the yelp quotes. He said no, but if I had cash he would do it for $300. I still said no. He then agreed to $260. Yes, I know this should have been red flag alerts but I was very desperate. I agreed as long as he could do it today. He said yes but he didn't have the materials so he had to go get them. He charged me $15. I asked why, he said it was his service fee. Mind you, I sent him the information for exactly what I needed but he decided to come to my house. If he had given me the quote in the yelp message, I would have just never dealt with him. This was at 3pm on Friday. He left, but at 6 I called and text him asking if he was coming back bc I leave for work at 9pm. He didn't respond until 7:30 then said he'd let me know when he got there. He arrived at 8:45. I stayed bc I assumed he'd make it happen, though I was irritated that I had to go late to work. He ended up not doing anything. Said he still needed more materials, etc and would have to come back tomorrow. Fine. I asked him to come early, he agreed. At 1pm on Saturday I called him, no answer so I text him asking if he was coming soon, he said he'd let me know. I called and text him every hour or so. He rarely answered the phone or text me back, each time being very vague and not telling me when he was coming. I finally gave up and called another locksmith. This dude was there in an hour, programmed my fobs (which took longer bc the previous guy apparently erased information that he was not supposed to) and got me going in about 90 minutes. He was great. Completely opposite... This locksmith just showed up, no warning or anything at 8:15 pm on Saturday night. He was mad that I had someone else there. I repeatedly told him he left me with no choice bc of his unprofessionalism but he was mad and finally just sped off. For buildings, he might be great but for vehicles, FIND SOMEONE ELSE. read more

Lost my car keys and searched everywhere and figured they may have been stolen. Called a few locksmiths and some no longer did cars and some were pretty pricey. Budget came out and tried programming new key fobs and was not able to, but accidentally found my keys! Even though he couldn't help, he at least came out and tried. I called "Key Me" to get replacement keys for my car. Key me dispatched call to Budget . Budget did not show for first appt. Second appt he came late. He gave a price of $130.00 on he phone. I needed a key and to get the car door open. After Budget finally arrived, I was asked questions of what kind of key I needed (Isn't that his job). He then told me I would need a laser cut key for my car. The charge would now be $229. Then, he added additional charge of 297.00 to get my key. This included a spare key for $80.00. He gave me the keys after charging $526.00 to Venmo. This is only form of payment he would take. He then refused to give a receipt. Would not give any paperwork explaining charges. Two days passed and I realized there was a problem with one of the keys. I called immediately. Got the run around for a couple of days. Was told if he had to come back it would be $50. (This charge did not include fixing the key). The man screamed and yelled at me on the phone. I refuse to pay anymore money for a key I was already overcharged for and is faulty. The man hung up on me. Budget is a company I strongly suggest you do not do business with. read more

The clues to our truck were stolen and we only had one so we had to call locksmith to get another key. There was a programming issue which I totally understand but some kind of pin had to be purchased according to the locksmith and he gave us a range of what it would cost. We Gave him a $130 when he actually purchased the pin he came back and said it was actually a $160 so we paid in additional $30 plus 2999 for his service call. He did give me the information that he purchased but along with that came a receipt showing that he actually paid $48 for something that he charged us a $160. He never did get the key taken care of so we ended up having to go to Dodge which by the way autonation did a great job. The amount was reasonable and they did give a veteran's discount. This guy if he had actually programmed the key would have charged us another $130 I think so the total would have been Over $300. Also, he said the reason he couldn't program the key because we needed a new computer in the truck. Just one more thing he was trying to make money off of the on. Obviously we didn't need one since Dodge was able to do it. I do not recommend this business, mostly because they lied about how much they paid for the code. Honestly, it didn't surprise me That they charged more than what they paid for the code, however however it should not have been almost 4 times but he paid for it and on top of that I didn't work. read more
