Very disappointed. Was originally quoted around 30 to get into a simple bedroom lock. He was unable to get in so he ended up having to drill it out and bumped the price up to 75 for a busted lock. Cool! Would not recommend. If you do use then be VERY clear in the pricing up front. read more

I am very disappointed in GM Locksmith out of Sacramento, Cottage way. Technician Matt. I scheduled an appointment yesterday, for an appointment this morning at 10am to fix a lock on our slider door. but at 10 AM not here, which is fine we all run late a few minutes. But at 10:19 he calls to tell me he is stuck on another job in his shop and will be about another 20 min late. I wish he could have let me know earlier? At 11:02 I call again to find out where he is-he acts as if he is not sure who I am, so I told him its ok, I can always call someone else if he can't make it, but I don't have time to waste just sitting here waiting. He then quickly remembered who I am, repeated my address, and said Im in the car and on my way. Twenty-eight (28) min later (now it is 11:30) I called again, this time no answer so I left the message not to bother coming I cancel. I believe an hour and a half of wait seems a bit much for me. If you have time to wait and have nothing better to do then he may be your man, but I would not recommend. read more

The owner is a lie and cheat with zero business integrity. He quoted me $29 to come out, meaning it would be more for the performance of the job, so I asked how much the total would be and he said $60. The technician came out, who was really polite however, began to vigorously jiggle a tool in the key while, similar to what I did with a bobby pin. He ends up drilling out the lock, great. He tells me the total was going to be $90?! After a quote of $60, a ruined door knob and offers to replace the door knob for $50 extra, yeah right. I called his boss who said I miss understood the quote and that he can prove it by our recorded phone call. I said okay send me the recording. However, minutes later he calls the tech and says to charge me $75 and he would send me the recording. He never sent it, he lowered the price because he knew I was right. Come on man your integrity should be worth more than $15. Still waiting for the recording from the reviews it seems like this isn't the first time he has over charged after a quote. read more

I recently locked myself out of my condo with a dog and little one in tow. I don't have a cell phone so went to my neighbor to use phone. I needed a quick response time so called several locksmiths. GM Locksmith said they could send someone within 15 minutes. I was quoted a price of $15 for coming out and $35 to open door. A technician arrived about 30 minutes later. He had an invoice with a price of $15 plus $135 for service. I told him I had been quoted a price of $35. I was desperate so let him do his thing. He sprayed WD 40 in lock, inserted what looked like a key and tapped the end of the key-like device. Door popped open. It took him less than a minute. So the service was efficient but I was charged MUCH more than the quoted price. I immediately called GM and asked to speak to woman who was answering phones earlier. Evidently, she was out and they didn't know when she'd return. Man on phone said he was all about customer service and he would review phone calls and let me know if I was due a refund. That was Wednesday. It's now Friday and I've heard nothing. Would like to add that my neighbor was relaying info. on phone and she not only heard what was said but repeated it to me. My next step is to call the Better Business Bureau. I was quoted one price but charged another!!! Will never use this service again. read more

I was not available to be home when they came to fix my car. They charged me $320.00 to make a key for my car that i can not use. Its just a blank key???? i e mailed the company with no reply i also called the guy that worked on my car and he told me it works now with your key. thats because he took the blank key and put a pair of vise grips on the key and forced the key to turn.
