horrible company for moving your stuff. they have broken so many of my furniture items. they scratched my washing machine and dryer. Its very high priced and very bad moving company. read more

Just finished moving with Budget Movers! I called 2 days before I had to move and was expecting to be turned down, but Will called in a last minute crew. The movers were very considerate and careful with all my furniture and items. Pricing was the best too compared to the other moving companies. Granted my move might have been easier than others because I don't have a lot of things and I was moving within the same apartment complex, but I would still recommend. read more

I needed to move to the other side of Killeen (living room, dining room, 3 bedrooms, German shrunk, piano, refrigerator, washer and dryer. I was SO hoping for the ability to post a good review but I can't. The closing on my home was pushed from Wednesday to Friday morning because the appraisal was so difficult. I called twice and emailed as well to inform them the closing date changed so I needed to reschedule them for Friday afternoon instead of Friday morning and for the life of me, I could not get a call or email back! While in my closing, I received a call from them saying they were at my house ready to move me. I explained that I never heard back so I had to hire another company and the guy did not seem surprised, nor did he apologize. Moving is such a stressful experience but not being able to count on your moving company makes it worse. I was very disappointed. read more

This was the worse moving experience of my life. I showed the Packers what had to be packed and they never finished anything at any point in the process except for my records. To add more stress to the situation the lead packer kept at me saying how there was more to pack then I had quoted. Tell me one person that can tell you exactly how many boxes that they need to move a household and I'll show you a liar. All they had to do was just bring extra boxes and if it was a little bit more money for the extra boxes I would have paid it. When it came to loading the truck in essence they sent three boys and not three men because they did not know what the hell they were doing and over half the truck wasn't even packed six foot high. I know how to pack a truck and 20 years ago I packed a 26ft truck almost from front to back by myself and these three young men could not do it to save their lives and on top of it they were using metal hand trucks without cargo straps to move heavy appliances and furniture so I don't know how many scratches I'm going to have on my furniture and my appliances because they didn't use a proper appliance hand truck with the rubber padding on the frame and the cargo straps to secure it. One of the boys even had some items fall off of his hand truck because he was dragging it behind him off of the one step off of my porch to the sidewalk and of course he said he's sorry and I'm telling him it looks like it's okay so what else am I going to really do. Am I going to get into it with him?!?! At one point they were even using my hand truck and my push cart. They ruined my push cart by putting our coal-burning stove on it to try to get it up the ramp but when they got it off the step of the porch to the sidewalk they damaged it. The whole right side of the cart is ruined because of their foolishness. Now admittedly my house has a lot of water damage from storms and such and it has in essence been abandoned and we have been living with a relative until we move into our new house bu they actually insisted on hazard pay. I have never heard of anything so ridiculous in my whole life. The only thing reasonable was an additional $65 for some other items over at the other place where my relative's place is and it was just a small amount to pack and a small amount to move out. They couldn't even do that because they didn't pack the truck right and they had no more room. These movers do not know what they are doing and they do not know how to pack and they are not bringing the proper equipment to move the items in the first place. I am really afraid of how much damage I am going to have to my items between the Packers whom I saw weren't really packing very well and the movers and how they handled my items. They may just have a lawsuit coming. Do not and I repeat do not use this company. They were all pretty much attitudinal and they were telling me why they couldn't do this and why they couldn't do that instead of saying yes sir we'll get the job done. That's what a customer wants to hear and I have been in customer service for decades. I know how to treat a customer. These people do not have a clue on how to properly treat a customer. I felt railroaded and I felt taken advantage of and all they want to do is just rush through everything to get done so they could go home and do whatever they want to do instead of making sure that the job was done right in the first place. read more

Upon moving into my new place they put each box where I asked them and were beyond respectful. I would highly recommend this company and they were the cheapest quote I received. Do not hire this company! We hired Budget Movers to move our family this summer. They did not properly secure the boxes in their truck and during the short 3 mile drive to our new house, the load shifted and caused damage to numerous items. The owner, Will, has not returned our phone calls, emails or texts to resolve the issue. He claims to have insurance but we have yet to see any proof that he has turned our claim into insurance. read more

Once we got a date set (due to the new house not being ready), the movers met me at the storage unit. They did a good job. When they realized they had done some damage to some furniture, they brought it to my attention immediately. The damage was minimal and can be repaired. As they were putting the last items from storage on the truck, the woman in charge said that the price was going to be $300.00 more than what I had been quoted. I told her that I had been told the price was between $850-$1000. She said that it would be $1000. Okay. The next day they were to pack and move the things in my house. The house was a mess due to a variety of issues. But most of the stuff was already packed. I had requested that the clothing be put in wardrobe boxes. Not one was used. That evening after unloading everything, one of the movers asked that I pay him. I gave him $1000 in cash. He counted it twice and said he was supposed to collect $1100. I told him what I had been told. I did feed these men because they had done so much work and my furniture is VERY heavy. I heard from the lady the next day and I told her about the damage. She came to the house and said that someone would be here Friday. No one showed up or called. All that was needed was someone who is strong enough to lift the piece and some wood glue and a clamp. I sent a message to her Monday and she said that they were not going to repair the piece and that I still owe them money. When I went back to the old house to get it cleaned I found that the woman who was also the one who packed, had left some of my sterling silver serving pieces wrapped in paper stuffed in a paper bag. I have yet to find the rest of the service matching the serving pieces. (I inherited from my grandmother a service for 12 in the Chantilly pattern.) I have to question the business practices of this company. read more
