I decided to rent a moving truck and just pay movers in Austin to load it, then pay movers in Temple to unload it. I called All of Texas Moving on Tuesday to get a quote for unload-only services and I mentioned I had been looking for full-service moving and couldn't find a decent price. Kaci explained that All of Texas Moving has a different pricing model that's based on the items to be moved instead of hourly minimums plus huge travel fees. All in, my price with All of Texas Moving - including them driving to Austin to pick up my stuff just to turn around and bring it to Temple - was significantly lower than any of the quotes I got from moving companies in Austin. No hidden fees, no hourly minimums, no travel costs - just a flat rate based on the items I needed to move. The guys showed promptly at 8am Friday morning and had everything loaded up and ready to go by 8:45. They arrived at my new house before I did and were already unloading the truck when I got there. Everything was done by 11am, and the price I paid was exactly the price Kaci had quoted. I highly recommend All of Texas Moving. Unlike the big corporate chains, their prices are fair and transparent, and it feels good to support a local, family-owned business. I will use them again next time I need large items moved from point A to point B at a price I can actually afford!

Purchased a patio BBQ smoker, about 15 miles from our house. About 500+ lbs of metal - a bit much…read morefor me and the Hop Queen to rassle with (wrestle seems to high brow for BBQ). Contacted 7-8 moving companies without much success - most places charged a minimum time (2-3hours, 3 employees), which would have been almost as much as we paid for the used smoker, or they wouldn't fool with a single item. That's if they responded at all, half never even bothered. All of Texas Moving called back within the hour, and apologized for not being there to take the call. Casey got the description (and pic), checked with the boss, and had a reasonable fee w/ next day service for the move, all arranged while I was on the phone. I got a call when the truck rolled out, the smoker arrived with no problem, the two workers moved it onto my back yard patio in about 5 minutes. They were all real life savers, they responded with the best quote, got the job done quickly with no drama, and made our end of it super easy!

Would never recommend... please take the time to review the 1 star ratings…read more I hired ChubbyFit Movers for an interstate move from TX to IL. The company packed, transported, and delivered my household goods. Unfortunately, multiple items arrived damaged after being packed by their crew. The damage was not minor cosmetic wear, but broken and unusable items consistent with improper packing and handling. Two people left mid unpack at our destination because they were told it would be a 3 hour unpack. When I submitted a formal claim with documentation and photos, the company relied on the $0.60 per pound released valuation clause rather than addressing the quality of packing and handling that caused the damage. To put that in perspective: under that formula, a 100 lb item would be covered for $60 regardless of its actual replacement cost. Their "good faith" resolution offer for documented damages was $500. I understand valuation limitations are common in the moving industry. However, customers should be aware that if you do not purchase Full Value Protection, you may receive only minimal compensation even when the mover performs the packing and damage occurs. This was pure negligence and failure to uphold their end of the contract. If you are considering this company, I strongly recommend: * Carefully reviewing valuation options * Understanding the difference between Released Value and Full Value Protection * Documenting every item at pickup and delivery * Budgeting for the higher protection option Interstate moves are expensive and stressful. Make sure you fully understand the risk allocation before signing. Overall horrible experience.

I completely back everything Alex has said. I'm not sure why you continue to single me out when…read morethis was a move that both Alex and I were involved in together. Whether I paid or he did is irrelevant--we both contributed to this process equally. To clarify a few things: I had my own dollies and equipment, and both Alex and I were moving significantly more items ourselves than your movers were. In fact, I noticed multiple times when I went down to the truck that both movers were just standing inside, not actively working. Several items they did handle--like my paintings that were still sealed in plastic--were wrapped unnecessarily three or four times, wasting time rather than helping the move go more efficiently. Yes, the elevator used was the freight elevator, but even if it hadn't been, both available elevators were equally close to the unit, so the point feels moot. Most importantly, the way you've chosen to handle this as a business owner is honestly shocking. Arguing with customers, deflecting accountability, and lacking basic humility or professionalism--especially when we were among your first clients and you had no reviews at the time--is both disappointing and embarrassing to witness.

Took over 4 hours to move a minimalist 1 bedroom apartment 10 min up the street and charged over…read more$500. Didn't even move the whole apartment- just the large pieces I needed help with. Seems very high for a small living room and a bed... They later sent a receipt with the wrong amount I was charged. Felt like they were constantly running the clock as they took their time with everything: unnecessary over-wrapping of the furniture, claiming to need to disassemble furniture even further after I had already disassembled plenty on my own, and just overall lots of standing around. They dropped off all of the disassembled stuff at the new place and left. (Afraid of what the time would have been if they had helped with reassembly...) EDIT: Owner responded claiming there were no elevators to assist in the move when there in fact WERE operational elevators at both properties that were used by YOU so that was a blatant lie. Nobody else used the elevators during the entire time we hauled stuff to and from the truck... The original apartment was actually right in the middle of the complex so not sure why you're lying again claiming that it was at the end of a hallway...? As for the ridiculous claim about the truck's parking adding more time: the truck was parked at the entrance of the gate... Parking the truck a whopping 20 feet further to be OUTSIDE the gate would not have added "considerable more time" to moving the furniture and would have in fact saved time because you wouldn't have been blocking anyone inside the gate... Disappointed not only with how the move was handled but the lack of respect and lies told in the response. Extremely unprofessional.
