It's possible he came from his house, in which case he could have picked up my call. We told him we would need a ride later back to our hotel and he acknowledged that when dropping us off. He DOES NOT schedule pickups, fine, but answer the call until 11, it was a two minute ride back into Rockland. (not Camden as I said prior, but the rest of the facts stand.)

Rental prices are very reasonable, and they will either help you strap the kayaks to your car or pick you up and drop you off at your convenience. The guy we spoke with was super knowledgable and suggested we kayak around Lake Megunticook (rather than in the ocean), which ended up being a fabulous choice. Even in early June, the water was warm enough to swim in, and there are several 'islands' where you can dock your kayak and stop for a bite to eat or a swim. We started early, so it felt like we had the lake to ourselves! Before he pushed us off, the owner gave us a rundown of how to work the kayaks and some tips for having a great trip. Country Coach Charter pulled the old bait-and-switch on me, pocketed my deposit, and refused to refund me the money back when I received the invoice (months before the date of service) with services we did not agree on. Several months before my wedding, I requested a coach bus with air conditioning that seats 50. Darcy immediately responded and asked me to fill out a form on her website and submit the deposit, and she would immediately send over the invoice. Wanting to lock down transportation, I foolishly did so as I thought this was a honest, business relationship. When I finally received the invoice, it was for a a shuttle bus that doesn't even seat 50, with no air conditioning in the middle of summer (the shuttle bus wasn't even pictured on their website or facebook page). When I respectfully emailed back immediately saying that this is not what we agreed on, and if I could receive my deposit back, Darcy did not respond for months, after repeated calls and emails. My CC company would not refund me the money either due to filling out the form on her website first (which was my mistake). I am very disappointed that CC of Maine would conduct business in this manner, and am personally insulted that they wouldn't even return my phone calls or emails, even as I was being respectful. I hope that people will learn from my experience.

I have been camping here with my family since I was just a little kid. Every summer I was always so…read moreexcited to come up with my family and meet new friends! It's a great place for the kids, so many things to do! Arcade games, pool, playgrounds, mini golf, corn hole, basketball, concerts etc . I only ever came back to our site for food or money. I do really miss the hay rides they use to do though.. I wish they brought those back for sure!! Always a hit Now that I'm older I have gone from tent camping, to pop up, and now we have a travel trailer. This is my favorite trip of the year still!! I like to stay by the water for the views and little peace and quiet. During the holiday weekends it does get pretty busy and loud, but I have never ran into any issues with my camp neighbors. For as big as the campground is, it's pretty well kept. The dog park could have some more love put into it but I'm sure my dog doesn't mind haha. The bathhouses sometimes get ruined overnight but the employees are there right in the morning to clean up. I think the vibe of any campground really depends on the people that camp there. It's important to clean up after yourself, and respect everyone. I honestly really enjoy how the camp hasn't changed much over the years, it's really neat to bring my daughter here now and show her around where Mamas favorite summer getaway was when I was just a little.
