We used a bus and 2 14 passengers vans which were clean, safe, comfortable and very nice. They're a busy bunch, so communication was sometimes a little spotty when planning, but there wasn't any question about commitment. Darcy met up with us the day before to drive the routes and even ended up finding us time efficiency in our schedule. They're fairly priced (although transportation is not cheap!) and well worth it!

Country Coach Charter pulled the old bait-and-switch on me, pocketed my deposit, and refused to refund me the money back when I received the invoice (months before the date of service) with services we did not agree on. Several months before my wedding, I requested a coach bus with air conditioning that seats 50. Darcy immediately responded and asked me to fill out a form on her website and submit the deposit, and she would immediately send over the invoice. Wanting to lock down transportation, I foolishly did so as I thought this was a honest, business relationship. When I finally received the invoice, it was for a a shuttle bus that doesn't even seat 50, with no air conditioning in the middle of summer (the shuttle bus wasn't even pictured on their website or facebook page). When I respectfully emailed back immediately saying that this is not what we agreed on, and if I could receive my deposit back, Darcy did not respond for months, after repeated calls and emails. My CC company would not refund me the money either due to filling out the form on her website first (which was my mistake). I am very disappointed that CC of Maine would conduct business in this manner, and am personally insulted that they wouldn't even return my phone calls or emails, even as I was being respectful. I hope that people will learn from my experience.

Even if I had had to share, it would have been no problem -- the owner is scrupulous in her cleaning. This B&B is very comfortable, recently remodeled, well-decorated, quiet, and classy, all at a reasonable price. The continental breakfast is good. The owners are friendly and helpful, and they know how to run a B&B well. It seems they have thought of everything. The location is excellent - close to all the activities and sights in Port Clyde, ME. And, only a 25-minute ride up the same highway to Rockland, ME.

We have a Roadtrek Van and also set up a screen house (we call it our living room). Previously we had fires at night but it was kinda warm so we didn't indulge. Another favorite thing to do is to take our morning coffee (or our eventing cocktail) and sit on the chairs overlooking the ocean. If peaceful wooded experiences are for you, this is a great deal. However it's been sold out to a corporation and as it's typical they are only after the $$$. You can not pre book for the following year, and the have a season camp manager, who although very nice has no answers to anything other than call the 1-800 number. We met many ppl over the week we were here and most of them repeat travelers who agree this may be their last year due mainly to the attitude and corporate hospitality, aka none. It's a shame, this was a nice family feel and accommodating camp ground. Our family have been coming here for three generations. The campground itself is pretty much unchangeable, the amenities could be upgraded and spruced up, but we come for the feel of the grounds. The cold corporate feel it's already having is making us think twice sadly.

I had been kinda jonesin' for some Raisin Bran (since I don't usually watch TV but since I was on vaycay I saw a Raisin Bran commercial and I wanted some) and they had prosaic stuff like that too! The property is also tremendously dog friendly; our guy received a doggie bag upon check in with a water dish, place mat, blanket, treats and his own towel.
