But be wary when renting around the holidays; they were moving cars too quickly and gave us a succession of vehicles with problems: major scrapes on the driver's side windshield, grody tobacco in the cup holders, mid-level gas tanks, and a slow-leaking tire. They were amenable to swapping each car and grew more apologetic each time, and offered to comp us a few days of the rental. It is taking more hoop-jumping than it should to get the actual refund. But overall it was a good and reasonable response from Enterprise CUA.

Because of that, this experience was especially surprising and deeply disappointing. I am very familiar with how Enterprise typically operates and this location fell far below that standard. The only difference this time was that the rental was through insurance, and I was treated accordingly. I rented a vehicle from this location on Friday through my insurance company. I called ahead to let them know I would be arriving later than originally planned and was given a confirmed pickup time of 1:30 PM. I arrived at 1:19 PM, within that window, and was told my reserved vehicle had already been given to someone else. I was then told I had been called about this, which was untrue. No call was made. Rather than being offered a comparable replacement to my insured vehicle--a 2018 Chevy Equinox I was only offered two options: an electric vehicle or a Honda Civic. Neither is equivalent to the SUV my insurance was paying for. This was despite there being other comparable vehicles visibly available on the lot. The electric vehicle I was handed smelled strongly of smoke and was poorly cleaned. I was told it had only 30 miles of charge and would require eight hours to recharge, yet no instructions were provided. Once driving, it became immediately clear that the remaining charge equated to about 27 minutes of drive time, which was not enough to reach my mechanic and return home. The vehicle would have stalled somewhere on the road, leaving me stranded with no knowledge of how to recharge it. This created a serious safety issue, as I am responsible for transporting my son, sister, and mother. Being sent off in an undercharged electric vehicle with no guidance was not just inconvenient it was dangerous. When I returned the vehicle immediately upon realizing this, I was then offered a Honda Civic, again not equivalent. No apology was offered for the misinformation, the lack of preparation, or the fact that I watched an equivalent vehicle being rented to someone else during this interaction. No solutions were provided. I canceled the insurance rental at this location. However, the branch failed to properly close out the rental. Had I not personally contacted my insurance adjuster twice to create a documented timestamp, it would have appeared as though I had rented a vehicle when I did not. As a long-time Enterprise customer who rents frequently for business, this experience was shocking. I will never return to this location, and I strongly recommend that anyone renting under insurance avoid this branch entirely.

I was on line for 10-15 minutes and when I pointed that out, he said "that's crazy". I asked him to come with me to pick up the car so we could verify scratches or dings, and he said "he already did that at drop off" And refused. I went down to pick up the car and when I opened the door the stench of weed hit me in the face. It was like someone hot boxed in there 10 minutes prior. When I went to tell the guy at the desk he said "we didn't have a cleaner this week and I can't clean it because they don't pay me to do that." I asked for another SUV, he said they don't have any others. I asked for a refund and he told me I had to call hertz because he doesn't do refunds. I walked away because I was getting mad and I had already told him his customer service sucked. He said "You're just mad because you had to pay". He followed outside shortly thereafter with a receipt for the charge for the late fee and I told him to "get the f away from me" Now I have to be on the phone with hertz to get the REST of my money back.

When setting up the rental they said they would pick me up from the car repair shop. I went later then I would have to go when they could deliver the car. After waiting for 30 mins for them to come and calling their phone with no answer. I called the insurance company to explain the situation and they were able to connect me. The Hertz employee explained they did not offer pick up service. I had to take an Uber to get to work meeting. Walked over there later and they did not have me listed on their rentals even though I talked with them earlier. They ended up finding it and I got the rental. It was not what I requested, since I asked for a sedan. The car crossover suv. Struggled to drive up hills and was a pain to drive.

    I bought the fuel option for my rental. My Tucson has a fuel capacity of 14.3 gallons, I was…read moresupposed to be charged $3.4x per gallon for Budget to refuel the car. I was charged $101.35 to refuel my car. That means that I was charged $7.09 per gallon to refuel. I talked to customer service and they said they refilled 22 gallons which is absolutely impossible as the fuel tank capacity is only 14.3 gallons assuming I drained the tank dry. That means I am being defrauded by Budget and they are filling other cars up with my money. I was promised a free upgrade and when I got to the place to pick up my car in Boston I was told they didn't have any upgraded cars to give me. Instead I got the worst car in the fleet. It had a bad bounce in the back end that vibrated the car at any speed over 60. Frankly, it was dangerous. I was able to trade it for another car in Middleton Pennsylvania. I drove that car for 3 miles and discovered it didn't have USB jacks that worked and cigarette burns in the passenger seat. So I returned that and got a THIRD car. It had an issue that turned off the front radar until it decided to be on and then it would slam on the brakes randomly as I changed lanes. Another dangerous car. I called customer support and they said there is nothing they can do. I believe there is something they can do. 2 out of 3 cars were dangerous, all three were broken. It's not a good look.
