As other reviews point out, the house is poorly maintained, and the owner is shady.
The kitchen was the most poorly stocked of any rental we've ever stayed in. Cheap, broken pans, dull knives, and next to nothing in the way of spices, towels, or any other basic kitchen items.
The beds were so hard we had to buy mattress pads (along with all the kitchen items noted above) to make it through the week.
The "hot tub" isn't heated (what's the point of even having it?!), the deck chairs were broken, and half the light switches and ceiling fans didn't work.
Then they kept our entire $350 deposit for a broken door handle. Which is ironic, since the owner didn't seem bothered at all that most of the other doors already had broken or damaged handles or locks. The kitchen door was obviously damaged from a prior break-in, and had never been properly repaired and could barely be locked.
Playacar neighborhood was also a huge hassle to get in and out of, which makes cabs, deliveries, and everything else much more difficult and expensive.
