I would not recommend Nolita condo to anyone unless it was that or the streets. We had completed everything virtually since we were still living in the US. Our biggest mistake was not waiting to decide whether or not this place was the right fit for us. Prior to moving in, we had wired the deposit and given them a move in date. However, when we arrived at the condo, they were literally in the middle of doing repairs and cleaning the place up while we were discussing the contract. The listing showed we would have a washer and dryer, yet the landlord argued and demanded for us to pay a percentage for a new one, if not we wouldn't get one. The pictures from listing appeared to have a bbq pit and nice umbrella for the mini pool upstairs, which we never received throughout our 6 month stay. The "penthouse" had curtains that had accumulated so much mildew, which appeared to be there since they first built that place; they were dirty and torn. The air vent from the stove had mildew, as did the showers and linens we were provided. In addition, the linen we were given didn't fit some of the mattresses and it seemed like they just gave us whatever they had in storage. The furniture was very outdated and old, also included was a super rusted lamp. The sofas we were originally given were torn everywhere, it took them about 2 weeks to switch them out for another dirty and smelly sofa, the only difference was that those weren't torn. The bed mattresses were dirty, uneven, uncomfortable, and worn out. The entire place smelled musty, something was always broken. The issues were constant; if it wasn't one thing, it was another. Sometimes they would take days, weeks, or up to months to repair anything. They took about a month to fix the pool area. Water would leak into the building, sometimes the parking garage didn't work, the WiFi would occasionally go out, the water pressure wasn't always great, and the elevator hadn't worked for 2 months. One time we noticed pink powder at our doorsteps and apparently someone had attempted to break into our place while we were out of town; management failed to notify us until we sent pictures inquiring about the door. When we broke our contract, the elevator still hadn't been working. We didn't leave earlier since we had paid 6 months rent in advance. The pictures online and the virtual walk through do not do the place justice. Pictures can be deceiving. Overall, the building is very old, outdated, has mildew in every room and is poorly managed. For the asking price, it's best to take your money elsewhere, find a nicer, and safer place with better management. read more
