The place looked nice, and the service was good. We enjoyed seviche for an appetizer, and the drinks were fine. I give it 3 stars only because our avocado-stuffed grouper looked, and most importantly, tasted like tilapia (I'm adding a photo). We decided not to make a fuss out of it, but it was a disappointment. Another odd thing was that they requested tips in cash or via Venmo, separate from the bill. Not a bad thing, but kinda odd.

Restaurants in Cabo Rojo are good, so the most difficult thing often is to pick a place. After some Yelp reviews, I came across Buena Vibra. The reviews and pictures from other Yelpers, and the menu spoke to me. The ambiance is very relaxed. Arrived to the restaurant and parked in their lot. Our party of three was greeted right away, and given the option to choose where to sit. All our drinks were good, and the food and service were amazing. I highly recommend the rice and beans, mini cordon blues, coconut shrimp, and skirt steak with arañitas. For desert, the crème brûlée and flans are a hit.

Ok , so sat down and had a great chat with workers . Had a coconut margarita that I won't have again . Not that tasty but coconut water and rum was good. Had great food after it came , took a bit but they did have a wedding party so that was part of it . Bought some good coffee from shop and some goodies, nice cup !

Went there at 7 ordered around 7:15 and our entrees didn't arrive until an hour and a half later. Now they did mention to us that they are packed and the food was going to take a little longer than normal to arrive but didn't tell us how long. 30 mins would have been too long 45 minutes the max but wow an hour and a half. The food was actually really good when it arrived but I ate it with such anger in me that I couldn't really enjoy it. My daughter ordered the kids burger off the menu and it was a cheeseburger, she hates cheese, when they took it away with only 1 bite eaten they brought something else. The bill however still had the burger and I asked the waitress to remove it because she didn't eat it. I showed her on the menu it didn't mention cheese at all in the description and it was labeled burger not cheeseburger. After some back and forth with the waitress, they eventually removed it but after an hour and a half wait you're going to nickle and dime me for a kids burger. If they have such long wait times for food they should fix it. Everyone around us had similar wait times, so it wasn't just out meal. Stop letting so many people sit down or give people actual times to eat. Overall this was a complete waste of my night and I will never recommend this place nor come back.

I'm a bit obsessed with the idea of those plantain cups filled with deliciousness and this was one of the only places to mention it in their review, so we headed here despite it being a 40 minute drive. The place seemed nice enough as was the staff, but apparently all of those shredded plantain cups came with food that was cold (seafood salad, etc.). I fully admit there may have been a translation issue, but I did ask if any of the dishes were valor and our waitress said, "no, todos frio". So I instead got the burgers served on totstones and this is where the real issue comes in. The meat. It's very clearly mixed with salt (and egg?) long before being cooked so the texture is just really bad. Like weird sausage bad. Actually the same texture as the salty meatballs (which were salty (as advertised) but also had that weird sausagey texture. The chicken cordon blue bites were quite tasty though.

I tried this with family on our first trip to Puerto Rico, and the food was fantastic! All the staff were super friendly and were accommodating since we didn't speak much Spanish. It's an open air place where all tables are covered, and it's very casual and welcoming. Two of us had the Aguacates Rellenos (stuffed avocados) one with steak one with chicken and both were fresh and tasty. My father had their ribeye steak (which was huge) and said it was the best he's ever had in a restaurant. Topped it off with fresh cold mojitos and couldn't ask for a better evening! Must check out if you're in the area!

Excellent ambiance. Excellent food. Excellent service. The calamari was great and crunchy, the avocado steak and avocado fish were awesome! The food and presentation were great. Only one bottle of red wine was available. They will not charge you on the table, and you have to check out at the register and then they force the tip on cash or Venmo. Odd practice for which I cannot give this awesome place more than 2 stars. Stop that unusual practice and you can be a 5 star place. The lady at register was quite aggressive and rude about asking for the tip to be cash/Venmo. Be ready for that awkward moment.

Buena Vibra is close to our family condo and we always plan to have at least one meal here every trip down to PR. The churrasco stuffed avocado is my all time favorite. We had the passion fruit sangria as well as a red sangria. The vibes here are always GOOD and they've recently added some cool new decor. Their airbnb upstairs is also super cool, we've used it in the past. Service is always friendly. We will continue to come back each trip

Every time I visit PR, this is one of my favorite places to go. The food is excellent, delicious and fresh. The service outstanding and the atmosphere very pleasant.

This is an open-air type restaurant/bar, so consider bringing bug spray if you're eating after dark. I'd say some of the dishes were amazing and worth five stars - definitely the arañitas (fried plantain bits that were so good) and the coconut grouper with guava (heavenly - maybe the best seafood I had my whole time in Puerto Rico). The pionono bites were good - solid 4 stars but probably next time I'd try a different fried app. We got the stuffed avocado with conch and that was just okay - maybe the stuffed avocado seafood special is better, but unfortunately it has shrimp and my friend is allergic to shrimp. The passion fruit juice was okay, it was a bit too sweet for my taste.

It's number one for a reason! Great atmosphere, good selection of craft brews the mojoito was also on point. We had the grouper bites to start. Cooked perfectly and a nice portion too. I had the whole snapper with tostones both cooked perfectly. It was the best of the three whole snappers that I had eaten on this trip crunchy skin and tender meat...delicious. My wife had the Cayo Blanco which was a big skirt steak a top of tasty mofongo with six shrimp in a creamy cilantro sauce. Also delicious and prepared really well. Service was a bit slow but we wanted a stretched out meal. read more

Casual open air bar restaurant with upscale food choices. Good crowd on a Sunday night for dinner. Friendly and fast bilingual servers. Drinks were definitely on point. I had two passion fruit mojitos. My better half loved her lime mojito. Enjoyed my $45 ribeye steak but disappointed it was closer to well done than to medium as ordered. Went the rice and beans route for a side. Good choice but a bit salty by a dash or two. Appetizer was coconut shrimp. Nice large sized shrimp with a very delicious guava dipping sauce. Although a bit pricey it's a great place for drinks and a few tapas appetizers or an entire satisfying meal. Main course big enough to enjoy some leftovers the next day. I'll be sure to visit Buena Vibra again. read more

Food here is amazing! We are here in PR for a week, we concluded that this is the best restaurant we've been at - for it's taste and value. We even came back twice!! The cerveche is amazing, the mofongo is amazing, cilantro sauce with any seafood is amazing, I liked the skirt steak and all of the sides that are offered. The owner is a Chevy fan, even has a dedicated parking spot for it (although it's mostly occupied by him). It's very chill and good vibe here as it is in it's name. Bob Marley would like it here too. read more

First came here 3 years ago on vacation and ate here twice because it was so good. We finally made it back today on a long-awaited return to Puerto Rico. It was just as delicious as I remembered. By far the best, most flavorful meal we had all week. We came with a big group of adults and kids and everyone was very happy with their meals. Big portions, friendly servers, clean bathrooms and a laid-back atmosphere. FYI: Like every place in PR, they check Covid vaccine cards at the entrance, so remember to bring yours. read more

What a treat- a beautiful restaurant on a beautiful country road in Lajas, PR with outdoor seating. We arrived famished after spending the day paddling at La Parguera. The food was fresh and delicious. Our waitress was incredibly helpful- Everything was fantastic and the portions large- the coconut shrimp was mind blowing- with a sauce I wish they bottled- also had lobster - yummy especially if your a garlic lover, and the grouper with mango , wow, sides which come with the meal a real favorite, mashed plantations and beans and rice were a favorite- thanks to everyone at the restaurant for an amazing meal. read more

Awesome spot, food was amazing and served in a timely manner. Unfortunately I was here for the plantain burgers and due to the back order of beef, there wasn't any burgers at all to be ordered. Overall, highly recommended, on vacation here from NY and first time here at (Buenas Vibra) and will def revisit if ever back in this area. read more

Omg...DELICIOUS. Had the "Cayo Blanco" and it was absolutely amazing. One teen son had churrasco and the other stuffed avocado and they loved it! Only bummer was my husband came for the platano burger and they didn't have due to delay in delivery for angus meat. read more

I was hesitant to try this place based on some of the reviews, but I'm glad we came! The ambience was great with the restaurant being nestled in a bunch of trees and greenery. The server was very kind and prompt and did her best to speak in English with us. The drinks were cheap, $3 for Medalla and $5 for Sangria. We ordered the Volcano with Churrasco in Guava sauce, based off her recommendation and it was delicious! It was a nice big piece of grouper breaded in coconut, served with a good amount of grilled steak in a guava sauce. I'm pleased with how much protein it came with. My husband and I split the dish and it was PLENTY of food for two people! The only drawback is that the meal was $30, which seems a little steep.. but considering how much fish/steak we got, I'm not too upset about it, especially since it was shareable. If this dish had been in the $20-$25 range, I'd be raving about it much more. read more

Nice atmosphere, all outside seating. The service was very good. The Churrasco a la parilla was very good as was the rice and beans, very good flavors. The avocado stuffed with veggies was a disappointment as the veggies were mostly frozen carrots. The large avocados do not have as much flavor as the Haas variety we get in the U.S. There is a private lot for parking. It was full of people. I would definitely return. read more

Called the restaurant at 5 and they said they were open and just to come by, no reservations. Got to the restaurant at 5:40 and they said they were closed and would not open later for dinner. However you can see there were ppl waiting to be seated and a full restaurant. Maybe they don't want non Spanish speaking clients not sure. But based on the reviewers we were looking forward to trying a good restaurant in PR. Very sad we couldn't abd staff want not friendly at all. read more

Stopped here for lunch, love the ambiance and they have a great selection of drinks. We ordered the ceviche stuffed avocado and the grouper in mango sauce- everything was so delicious and they don't skimp on the fish either. This has been our favorite meal so far! The staff is super friendly as well. read more

Food was excellent! We had the volcan de guayaba...it was delicious. The coconut crusted fish was delicate and tasty. The coating was crunchy. The beef with the guava glaze was amazing! The portion is huge...my husband and I shared and were both full. For appetizers we had the goyitas...bacon wrapped chicken with a dipping sauce. The bacon was crispy and the chicken inside was flavorful and tender. My mother in law had the canastas con pollo a la Nory's (plantain cups filled with chicken stewed in a tomato based sauce). The chicken was well seasoned and the plantain cups were fried to perfection. Overall a great meal! For drinks we had sangria and piña coladas...both very good! read more

Best restaurant you could find at this area including Rincón! And I mean that! Coming from NYC and almost gave up on the food quality & taste but then we found this place! And let me tell you... the avocado, the fish, the Yuca and more ... it's all fresh. We came back in here 2 days in a row cause there's simply nothing better than this place at the area. Visited with my boyfriends and had a really delicious dinner! All of our food was FRESH! Probably the best food I tasted on the west coast. The restaurant itself is on the side of the road and had a very trendy-rustic look. Kind of like a beach shack. I really enjoyed that because it stood true to the west coast culture in PR...it wasnt overly modern and obnoxious. This is also an outside seated place so be sure to wear OFF although we had no problems with mosquitos. The music at the place was also super trendy and gave it a very NY feel even though clearly we were in PR. It was great to listen to. I'd say this is a great place for young adults. Parking lot is huge! CONS: the waiters aren't super attentive. Being that I'm from NY thats a problem especially if I'm ordering a lot of drinks but it wasn't too bad. I'd say maybe 6 out of 10. The food also took a VERY long time to come out even thought it tasted amazing so that made up for the long wait. All together we were at the restaurant a total of 2 hrs. We waited about 15 mins for a table. read more

When we got to the parking lot, one of the staff approached our car and took our name, advised us to wait in the car and will call us when there is table open. We appreciated that during this time, we felt safer with that option. 10 minutes later another staff came to our car and informed us that our table was ready. We ordered stuff avocado with seafood and fried grouper with sweet sauce, burger from kid's menu, and chicken wings. We waited for 30 minutes for the chicken wings and the burger to arrive and another 20 mins for the stuffed avocado. The wait time for the food maybe longer than usual but we are understand in this situation ( pandemic) staffing can be hard. All Food are so good but we blown away by the stuff avocado. All the staff are great. Definitely will Coming back again. read more

Great atmosphere, great food. Definitely get the sweet plantain french fries, but I can't give 4 or 5 stars because the service was super slow. Like 1 hour until we got our food slow. I'm not sure if we just came at the wrong time, but I think the service should really be faster. If you're okay with the wait, you can't go wrong with this place food wise with a great ambiance to boot (beautiful next to the road spot). read more

Buena Vibra and I have been soulmates since we first met about 5 months ago. Everytime a dish and I cross paths, my soul flutters a little more than the time before. There has not been a night when I was not totally and completely satisfied by the wedding of flavors and perfectly cooked meats, seafood or stuffed avocados. We had high hopes given the awesome Yelp reviews. The ambience of the place is very cool, very embedded in the forest, peaceful and treehouse-like. The food sounded appealing, flavorful and fresh, and it was slightly above average. Not only that, it took well over 45 minutes for the food to arrive, and there were only a couple of other tables occupied while we were there. I ordered the stuffed avocado with veggies, and it was literally half of a massive avocado and what looked like steamed frozen veggies with no seasoning on top. For a vegetarian, I wouldn't recommend this place. BUT if you like red meat, there seems to be a lot of tasty options. Our favorite in the end was the pina colada and ceviche. Pretty good food with huge portions, but the wait staff have to get it together. Food took an hour and a half to arrive and we couldn't even order a second drink or water. Hope they can organize themselves a little better and make improvements. read more

Very good environment. The theme of various vehicles brands and favorite different cocktails was cool. The drinks are strong but recommended. The food was very fresh and contained amazing flavors. It is in the pricey side for food but it's really cool restaurant. read more

Best of all, their team is always so friendly and helpful - even inviting us back when they hear we're in town for a few days. Now the food... i ordered the cayo blanco and it was beyond what I expected, jumbo shrimp skirt steak and mofongo with this house white cilantro dill sauce that was everything... my friend ordered the Avocado stuffed with Shrimp was another amazing dish (incredible white sauce again). Driving all over the area experiencing all we could and hitting a few beaches along the way. Came across this place and very happy we did. Good atmosphere, staff were friendly and the food was good. Hands down probably the best meal we had while visiting Puerto Rico. If you're anywhere remotely near the restaurant, I would definitely recommend eating here -- it's worth any extra time you might add to get there. We ordered three separate entrees, and they were all incredible. The staff were extremely polite and helpful, too! read more
