Being a vegetarian, there is no way I could not give this place five stars. It's probably the best burrito place I have been to, and I have lived in San Francisco and visited Mexico quite often. These burritos are amazing. They have many varieties and I have yet to even get close to trying them all. My favorite is the Seitan burrito. That and the chickpea one that has an 'Indian' taste to it. These burritos are just amazing. This place is great and the prices are rally good too. The service is quick and friendly and they will accommodate if you have a special request. My favorites are the Thai Chicken Burrito which doesn't taste like any burrito I've ever had it's so good ... I love the cabbage slaw and peanut sauce with the chicken and rice. I liked the vibe of this place. It seemed like a local hangout, and there were hispanic cashiers and cooks, which made it feel authentic. I had high expectations but ordered their basic chicken burrito to be safe. Sadly, the burrito was nowhere near the level of Chipotle. I seriously wonder if all of these positive reviews were written by people who have never experienced the absolute joys of Chipotle. As much as I hate to support the huge chain establishments, Chipotle is simplyamazing. Can you tell I'm a diehard Chipotle fanatic? I really did hope Bueno y Sano would live up to its Yelp hype, but alas, Bueno y Sano was only mas o menos (so-so). Food is good but customer service is lacking. I recently ordered pick up, they acted like I was bothering them when I placed the order. Then I discovered that there was a problem with the order. I called to explain the error and that my husband was going back to get the correct order, they put me one hold twice and were annoyed I was attempting to get my order correct. I have tried eating here multiple times. I still don't see what the hype is. I have had the pork Burrito, the chicken burrito, and the BBQ chicken salad. the burrito's are bland and don't have any flavor to them. The BBQ chicken salad was good though, but it upset my stomach. people tell me to get the BBQ chicken or pork burrito. i don't want to have to add sauce to it to make it great. i have had plenty of burritos that are amazing without adding BBQ sauce to it. read more

I'm hooked. The varieties of Burrito, Tacos and Quesadillas are impressive and the Burrito itself is huge. The reality of the food here is it's not even close to the West Coast or Southwest style of Mexican Food but it is real good for what it is. If you want good "Mexican Food", Bueno Y Sano is the place to go. read more

Although Bueno Y Sano is a great place to get good food quickly, I have to agree with other yelpers on here that it is far from authentic mexican food that you can get in any of the border states, or in Mexico. I really like this place! I have been a few times and each time was good. I always get the spinach and garlic burrito. It's tasty and filling. I don't think their hot sauce is hot enough, but I know they have to please the general public. My husband is a bit more adventurous and he has ordered a bunch of different things. He likes the Salvatore burrito. You can definitely tell the vegetables are fresh. The portions there are huge! I am never able to finish my meal anytime I go there. I always have left overs. The service is pretty good as well. Every time I have been there the staff has been friendly and quick. Overall, I am a big fan of this place. If you are in the area it's worth stopping by! One thing I can always count on is their consistency in how the food tastes, and how it's made. I hate when it's a guessing game as to how the food will be...here, I've never had that problem. Usually I love going here. Today I stopped in and ordered a burrito. I have allergies so I asked for it with no cheese/sour cream. I knew the girl wasn't listening so I said it again, and she hadnt heard the first time, but didnt bother to clarify. I watched the guy make my burrito, and I'm like, that does not look like my order, and looked on my receipt and it said Thai burrito with seitan, which is not anything close to what I ordered. So I'm like, is that the tofu burrito? And he's like no, Thai. And I'm like, no I asked for a tofu burrito with no cheese, so he had to throw it away. I felt bad about it, but that is not anywhere near my order. Plus it cost $2 more for the wrong burrito and he did not reimburse me. I didn't ask to be, I didn't want to make trouble, but it would have been nice to pay only for what I ordered. He told the girl she put in the totally wrong burrito and she didn't say sorry or anything. I mean, I can get a tofu burrito at plenty of other places. I like this place because its family owned and I cant get it anywhere else. If they aren't going to have good service, then there's really no need to come back. read more

So, I guess this is on me. I ordered through grubhub at 10:30 A.M. before the restaurant was open. I thought I would have to call and specify what and where etc. I was not aware that even though you ordered before the restaurant was open they would take your order and deliver as soon as they opened to the address. Long story short, I was at the office across the street when my order arrived without my knowing. I missed the phone call as I was in a meeting. I called back 10 minutes later to no answer. Called the restaurant. They said because I ordered through grubhub I had to call them. Did so. Because I recieved a phone call 7 min and 6 sec too late, my order was charged in full, (97.55$) but was not to be delievered. I was offered a 10$ grubhub gift certificate. When I called the restaurant again to dispute the charge (and tell them hey, your delivery guy has 100$ worth of my food in his car 5 min away from me) they told me sorry, not responsible to deliver it. So, this trash heap billed me 100$ to tell me to fuck off. They probably fed their whole staff on my order for free. This place is a corporate trash heap that shits on its customers. Just wanted you all to know. Ive worked 7 years in the restaurant biz and never, ever, ever would I treat a guest like this. I would be fired immediately. Good money maker. I just love the food! The burritos are huge and delicious. Everything is fresh and tasty. I eat there often and when on the run I call ahead for a couple soft tacos that are wrapped so well you can eat them in the car. When my kids come home from out of state they always go there. The atmosphere is Mexican style with music and the employees are always so nice and friendly. I would definitely recommend Bueno y Sano to anyone that wants a great Mexican treat. read more

Awesome! Fast, delicious, affordable and so convenient - highly recommended. They have a large variety of high quality fillings, including vegetarian options that are the best in the area. The (free) salsa and green tomatillo sauces are outstanding, and appear to be freshly made. Friendly staff and a pleasant, newly renovated dining area round out the experience. I went in today for the first time after the lunch rush, about 1:30pm. The menu looked really interesting, lots of vegetarian options which is rare. I decided on a spinach and garlic burrito and was really looking forward to trying it. Then after 5 minutes of standing there waiting while the cashier finished up chatting with the couple in front of me I decided they just didn't want my business so I left. Maybe some day I'll go back but I doubt it, chatting with customers is good but not while others are waiting to put in an order. read more
