Bueno y Sano has a pretty decent menu. You can create your own dishes(burritos) or just order what's on the menu. The burritos are often a good size and fairly priced. One of my absolute favorites item menus is one that I'm sure is often overlooked... CatFish Tacos!!! Absolutely delicious! Spicy but not too spicy. My daughter and I eat here 2 or 3 times a week, takeout mostly. It is the best Mexican food I have ever had. It even beats the Mexican food I had when I was living in Southern California which I used to call Little Mexico. The ingredients at Bueno are always fresh, and the service is friendly and fast. Everytime I come to order a cheese quesadilla it is a slop mess of soup of hot burning cheese drenched in oil and are un edible and just disgust me this place use to be good now it's a cheese quesadilla from a sewer read more

If I could give less I would. Chips were stale, no guacamole in the order which we placed 2 orders of, and ordered a steak burrito and there was 4 cut up small pieces of steak. I called back and they said they can't redo the order they will give me credit for stale chips missing the guacamole and having basically no steak. Why would I want a credit on a place that can't get an order correct in the first place. Awful customer service and will not go back ever again. First and mostly likely only review I'll ever post. For about 20 bucks I got dinner that lasted for two nights, and then some. The food is fresh and delicious! I just finished dinner for breakfast this morning and I'm going back for more tonight. I've never eaten from one restaurant 4 nights in a row. The black beans and rice that were served on the side of my chicken Quesadilla were perfect. The black beans were perfectly seasoned and simple. I recommend ordering extra salsa, at least 2 extra. Granted tomatoes in November generally suck, but the salsa is really fresh and delicious. The staff were also very friendly and helpful. I did not eat in but it is a comfortable place for a casual meal. I was just reading through the reviews. I think most of the bad reviews reflect people who are just used to US Mexican food ("Mexican American" is an oxymoron, because Mexico is in America...check a map), or are culturally clueless because they think the staff are rude when in fact they are trying to be helpful. read more

I'm so excited I found this little taqueria when I was looking for a place to pick up a quick lunch around my husband's clinic! They have a simple but extensive menu, something for everyone. I liked the veggie burrito more than the chickpea/curry flavored one, but I was just happy they had 3-4 veggie burrito options! It's expensive for a taqueria in Springield, but everything looked and tasted fresh so I can't complain. Get the football sized burrito, I love the BBQ pulled pork choice, take it home, and just eat this using our a animal instincts, ravage it and once you take a bite you can't stop, tacos excellent and everything is authentic and I k ow this sounds crazy but Mexicans actually make your food! I have visited Bueno in Amherst, Hamp, and Sofld and none disappoint! The ingredients are fresh and the sides are authentic. Entrees are made to order and the relaxed space is somewhere you can eat alone and not feel alone or uncomfortable. I highly recommend this for pick up or dine in! The prices are a little high but it's also good quality so I never complain about eating well. If you download the app they give you $5, although I haven't figured out how to use it and the Springfield location doesn't accept online orders. read more

As with most of the Mexican food I've had in the Northeastern U.S. I am disappointed. It is not as good as real Mexican food from the Southern/South-Western part of the states. I have never been a really big fan of burritoes before, but let me just say I was in Heaven here at Bueno Sano's! Okay, not literally Heaven but close enough, lol! I tried the veggie burrito just because I thought it would be a new experience. I can't even remember the last time I've had a burrito, and I definitely don't think I've ever tried veggie ones before either. But the burritoes, (yes I did go ahead and ordered 2 of them they were that good!) were DELICIOUS!! They were STUFFED with seemingly ever veggie imagineable, and the wrap itself also did not disappoint. The burritos also were not to hot or spicey either. What a disappointment that would have been if I couldn't have eaten them because of that, but they were seasoned just mild enough for an "old" lady's tastes, lol! There is not really anything else to say. The service was great and the food even better. (I also tried a side order of rice and beans which was also pretty good, once I added a little salt and pepper to really bring out its true flavor) So I encourage everyone to go ahead nad try one for yourself if you happen to be in the Springfield area. This is not meant to be authentic mexican, so don't expect that! In fact it's a Salvadorian-based establishment. But make no mistake, it's the best burrito around. Vegetarians rejoice! Try the VEGGIE CHILI BURRITO and tell me if it's not the best you've ever tasted. I hear this even from non-vegetarians! Paying extra for their guacamole is a no-brainer. Their green (tomatillo) salsa is incredible. So are their mild and hot regular salsas. $0.5 extra to make it "grande" (about 25% bigger) is also a bargain. Bueno y Sano is basically everything Chipolte strives to be. Stopped in for a quick lunch today. Grabbed a grande steak burrito with sour cream. It seemed like before I even sat down they were calling me that it was ready. Everything was fresh and the steak was tender and seasoned. Although the pieces could of been bigger it was still very good. Place was clean and service good. The burrito and a drink ran somewhere in the $9 range. Came to Spingfield for basketball this weekend. I was so glad I had bueno in my back pocket because Springfield seems like such a vegan food desert if you don't want to go to Hadley/NoHo/Amherst. My BF, who is from the Bay Area and is the most egregious burrito snob, got the BBQ seitan burrito. He was loath to call it a burrito, being a stickler, but he enjoyed it nevertheless. I had a bite which was loaded with seitan in a sweet/tangy BBQ sauce and the rice was pretty well seasoned. I'd observe that he seemed more excited about the mockmeat options than the burrito itself. I got the special cajun blackened catfish tacos. I loved that the fish wasn't fried but was still really flavorful. They came with a cajun remoulade style sauce that had a nice kick and a small pile of fresh condiments, like cilantro, on top. Both the tomatillo salsa and the hot salsa were fresh and tasty. I was pleased that the hot salsa was much hotter than I was expecting. Once we stopped debating if it's really counts Mexican, we realized that it's as good as we expect to get in CT/western Mass. read more

Quality, authentic stuff here. I got the BBQ Pork quesadilla, which I was told is their most popular. It's nice and huge, and comes out on a slightly intimidating, silver, shield sized platter complete with rice, beans, pico de gallo, and sour cream. Piping hot and delicious. Crazy friendly staff; fresh, delicious, inexpensive food - you really can't ask for anything more. Well, maybe more seating as they become more popular. Oh and the parking lot SUCKS. But you forget that when you try the food. The burritos are deceptively huge so resist the urge your first time to try two or get the grande version. I usually end up getting two tacos (like mini burritos really) and my favorite is spicy pulled pork. Be sure to try the variety of homemade salsa. read more

Bueno Y Sano is muy BUENO! They have at least 5-6 burritos that are vegetarian and easily vegan with the omission of cheese (which is how I order it). The price is very reasonable for the amount of food you get. My favorites are the grilled vegetable and the East West with Tofu. A few others I like are the veggie chili, the portabello mushroom and the Salvadoran. Be sure to try the Tomatillo Sauce. It's really good as a salsa for their chips (spicy). Great food, great price and if you aren't vegan definitely try the stuffed peppers and the cheese flan. They were two of my favorites before I stopped eating dairy. read more
