Really amazing churros filled with Dulce de Leche. I didn't try anything else but the other baked goods looks amazing. I'm definitely coming back

    Fried beef empanada.

Get the fried beef empanada. It's so good! It's one of the best empanadas I've had. It has ground beef, some onions, and an olive or 2. It is the perfect marriage of sweet, savory, and salty. And they keep them warm all day long. It's the perfect temperature. They also have mini cakes, cookies, other pastries, sandwiches, coffee. It's in a neighborhood full of Spanish/South American influence. If you walk a couple blocks south on 37th ave there are more places to eat. And many different cuisines. Even Japanese. Goooooo Jackson Heights!

    Fun in the sun!

I got some kind of flaky croissant thing that looks like a seashell filled with gooey chocolate. Yummy :) The lady working there was nice and attentive. I'm part Portuguese and kind of look it so she started off speaking Spanish (which I speak only a little) but once I got that "el-deero in the el-headlights-o" look on my face she switched to English which was understandable enough to complete the transaction. Nice little shop, and the chocolate-thingy was delicious. Thanks for the calories :)

I absolutely love this bakery, a coworker and I go here often since our work place is so close. The sweets and desserts are all amazing but our favorite is the bread the pan de bono to be specific. That bread with the cafe con leche is perfect for a good breakfast or a midafternoon snack.

Chorizo for appetizer great tasting but u may not need it they start u off w some warm bread & cheese, salami app very good depending on how hungry u are I'd say u can skip the appetizer. Main dishes Milanesa à la napolitana this was good, way too many onions but good comes with rice & beans. I had the Pechuga de pollo la provenzal, yumm this was delicious the sauce is so tasty, I got it w tostones great since dipping into the sauce. Next time, Ice tea & Sprite for drinks not bad, no apps since they start u off w that bread. I had the Meat special #4 , This comes with 2 pieces of steak & chorizo , got it w tostones the meat was very flavorful, cooked just right , comes w a chimichurri sauce so good. We also had the Pollo Provenzal again, man that sauce is amazing got it w fried yuca, it was very good. This place is a one stop shop, butcher style Meats for sale, some Argentinian desserts, candy & merchandise they seem to have a little bit of everything. Good size location, decent decor & service. Prices are seasonable since they do give u a good portion size. Good neighborhood spot, this place was a good find & chances are we will continue to visit from time to time.

After more than 25 years of being customers and spending hundreds of dollars per visit, we were…read moreessentially told we had stayed too long after finishing our meal. That was enough for us to decide we will not be returning. I have been coming to this restaurant for over 25 years. The food has generally been good, which is why my family continued returning and recommending it to others. Our history with the restaurant has not been without issues. Years ago, we stopped coming after a Mother's Day incident involving my grandmother. We had been seated in the upstairs dining room (when it was still open), only to later be told by the owner that we did not have a reservation and that we had to leave. After several years, we decided to give the restaurant the benefit of the doubt and eventually started coming back again. Unfortunately, today confirmed that the earlier incident was not simply bad luck. I was dining with my parents. We ordered two steaks, two appetizers, three sides, a bottle of wine and later a second bottle (of which we only drank half), along with four after-dinner drinks, cappuccino, and dessert. It was clearly a very busy day, and service was slower than usual. Because of the restaurant's pace, our meal ended up lasting a little over three hours. We were patient the entire time and never complained. After we finished eating and were simply finishing our drinks, the owner, Marcelo, approached our table and remarked that we had been there for three hours and were now only drinking alcohol, indirectly suggesting that his establishment was not a bar but a place for dining. Considering that we had just spent several hundred dollars and have been customers for decades, the comment was unnecessary and unprofessional. We immediately asked for the check and left. For context, I am a physician and understand the pressures of demanding work environments. However, professionalism and respect toward customers should always come first. Over the years, my family has typically spent between $300 and $500 per visit here. Unfortunately, after this experience, this will be the last time we come. There are many excellent Argentinian and Uruguayan steakhouses where customers are treated with appreciation and respect, and that is where we will be going moving forward.

Excellent shrimp in garlic as well. I went to this Argentine spot a couple of days ago with 6 others, having previously been to their long-running Corona location a good while ago. This new location, by comparison, has only been open for a few months. The spot is casual, and the staff is friendly. Before the rest arrived, a few people ordered drinks, including some Mexican beers and, for me, a Quilmes. As with their other location, they gave us some toasted bread and sausages to begin with, which were tasty. There was a nice fragrant chimichurri sauce on the table. We started with two appetizers. The better app was an obligatory one for Argentine parilladas, Provoleta, or Provolone a la Parrilla, listed as grilled provolone in oregano sauce for $11.90. There were also some olives and some yellow pickled peppers, and it was standard and tasty, with a mild oregano flavor. The other one was the $12.90 Ensalada de Aguacate, or in other words, an avocado salad, with some red wine vinegar, olive oil, and Italian dressing on the side. There was plenty of very good quality avocado in there, but the salad otherwise was boring, with mostly lettuce along with some sliced tomatoes, onions, and some cucumber. The main dishes, of course, consisted of two of their parillada, a mixed grill platter, with both of them being ordered medium rare. The first one was their standard Parillada Para Dos o Tres Personas with skirt steak, short rib, sweetbread, tripe, kidney, and two sausages; black and Argentine. For the 2/3 person portion, it was $65.90, and it came with two sides. The Skirt Steak/Entraña on both this and the other mixed platter was wonderful, being tender and juicy with plenty of beef flavor. The Short Ribs/Costillas were flavorful, though a tad fatty. In terms of the achuras, or offal, my favorite of the bunch was the Sweetbreads/Mollejas, being perfectly cooked with a soft texture. I also loved the Tripe/Tripa, which more resembled intestines, which were clearly cleaned very well, as they lacked any gamey flavor. The texture otherwise was nice, and this was most of the others' favorite offal. The Kidney/Riñón was most of the other people's least favorite, with the strongest flavor, but as someone who likes liver, I still enjoyed it to an extent. In terms of sausages, the Argentine Sausage/Chorizo had a mild flavor, and the Morcilla/black sausage was excellent with a snappy casing and a very mild iron flavor. Compared to last time, this was even better. The more expensive of the mixed grills we got was the Parillada Especial Para Dos o Tres Personas, with more skirt steak, along with Flat Steak, flat rib, short rib, shell steak, and sirloin steak. This was $80.90 with 2 sides, and was also excellent. My least favorite, as before, was the short ribs, with the rest of the steaks having a mix of textures, with my probable favorites being the Flat/Vacio and the Sirloin/Cuadril. It was a ton of perfectly cooked meat, but it felt a bit boring by comparison this time, with the offal being so good on the other platter, compared to the other location. Our only other main dish was the $25.90 Camarones al Ajillo, or shrimp sauteed in garlic sauce, which was also served with one side. For a steak place, the shrimp here were better than most steakhouses, being plump and juicy. The delicious garlic sauce paired wonderfully and was especially good with the various sides. This was an expected hit and a necessary bite between all the various meats. For the free sides, we got two of the Plátanos Maduros, along with Arroz con Habichuelas, Ensalada Rusa, and Papas a la Provencal. Our favorites were the sweet plantains and the rice, especially with the meat juices or garlic sauce added. The Russian potato salad reminded me of a thicker version of salad Olivier, with plenty of mayo. The papas were the plainest, and I presume the Papas Frita/French Fries were better, but we chose not to order them. As we were already very full with a bit of leftovers, the postres/dessert was Panqueques Con Dulce De Leche for $9.90. These consist of crepes filled with milk caramel, and they were rich and tasty. It was great to share, and it was a good ending to the meal. We gave a generous tip, got leftovers, and still spent around $38 a person for some excellent food. Would recommend heavily, just like their other location. Rounding up to 5, or rather cinco estrellas.

I decided to try their Coconut Pandan cake which was enjoyable except for the jelly they had in the middle. The cake itself was pretty moist and the cream had a nice Pandan flavor. The Portuguese egg tart is what you would expect from one of these bakery's, very basic but it was nice and flaky. The milk tea was also okay, we asked for less sugar so it was not too sweet. We also got the sesame mochi to go and this was delicious! Definitely the best thing I bought from this bakery. The sesame paste was nice and strong but not too gritty and the mochi was super soft.
