This is the spot. This is the spot for a huge platter of delicious Colombian food, perhaps before you go dance it off at the nearby Knockdown Center. I'm not going to pretend that I am the best person to determine what an authentic Colombian experience is (never had the pleasure of visiting Colombia), but if this isn't it, I can't imagine what they're missing. The staff speaks to you in Spanish exclusively, which made me glad one of my boys is Honduran. The TVs all over the place are playing what appear to be Colombian music videos that were made in the 80s featuring old men and attractive young women. They've got buckets of Colombian beer and frosted mugs so cold that the beer turned to slush around the sides. They've got a platter called the Bandeja la Berraca that consists of rice, beans, steak, plantains, eggs, avocado salad, little corn cakes, blood sausage, other sausage (amazing), and a giant side of chicharron. Eat and drink to you're bursting, while adorable Colombian kids run around the place. And rejoice that you live in NYC, where these things can be had. read more

Have stopped by La Parrillada Colombiana now a few times before catching a show at the knockdown center, and overall have been pretty pleased with the experience! They have an EXTENSIVE menu that has something for everyone - with lots of Colombian classics. Our staple is always the chicharron - which pairs well with their Colombian bean selection. Huge spot inside with lots of festive vibes! Service is always friendly and attentive too. Only thing is that they do close around 11, so beware of timing if trying to catch a show too. Wish they had some cheaper beer options too, but still appreciate the local Colombian specialties! read more

Very tasty food and great ambiance! I really enjoy their green sauce too. My only takeaway would be the rice portions -for the price, most Colombian restaurants usually serve about double. Since rice is one of the least expensive parts of the meal, adding a bit more wouldn't cost much. Also communication was a bit challenging since their English isn't very strong and my Spanish isn't fluent. Other than that, the food was excellent! read more

The form of delivery was through Uber eats. They sent the soup with 99% potatoes and 1% meat. I called to inform them there was no meat In the soup, they told us "yes we know we didn't have any more rib meat left so we sent you the grilled steak and white rice as replacement". So why weren't we contacted? At least call to ASK us for what kind of replacement we'd like to get. The entraña comes with a side of salad, which we didn't get. We inquired about that and they said "yes a lot of people who dine in decide to skip on the salad so we assumed you did to and didn't send it". So that's another item missing. I ordered the entraña to be 'well done' and it came a little bit over medium rare. All In all just be ready to call back the restaurant for missing items. Food was good. read more

We went to this restaurant today after we heard great things from our Friends. Food is great. We had ordered #55 - I think it is their showcase item ( even named after restaurant ) with grilled chicken, beef, shrimp and pork - served with rice, beans and salad - huge portion - able to feed 2 people. My Friend had tostones with avocado and fried pork - she said "yum, yum" We had mango and maracuya juices - wow and a half. Atmosphere is great; you feel more as if you were visiting a Family, not as if You are in the place of business. Nicely decorated with straw hats and panamas available for guests to wear and to take memorable pics - one of the walls with inspirational quotes serves as great background to do just that. Ask staff for translation, if You do not speak Spanish. All waiters work together, help each other out, so there is no feeling of competition, but whole team working together to keep you happy and to make you come back over and over again. Wanted to support a neighborhood place, but never again. Sadly I don't speak Spanish and the servers don't speak English. I ordered braised beef to go and I came home with some friend piece of mystery meat that looks like leather. Not good. Food is fine but delivery service is unacceptable. As a restaurant in New York City, your delivery driver should speak good english or be able to comprehend what the customer is requesting. Also, for every order there should be a receipt given to the customer as proof of purchase. From my experience, I ordered my meal and sent my sister to go get the food. She got the food and gave the driver the money and was requesting for the receipt. He couldn't understand and i kept on getting calls from him and the restaurant that they didn't receive the payment and that i have to pay for my meal (which i did). Their incompetence and unorganization was hard to deal with and lengthened the easy process the delivery should be. read more
