The rest of the visit felt cold and uncomfortable, especially for a store that seems geared toward families, children, and pets. The bath bombs themselves are great--they smell amazing, look fun, and my kids love them. But the staff experience was a huge letdown. My son politely asked to use the bathroom, and no one responded to him. Only when I stepped in did we get an answer. It felt dismissive and, frankly, pretty rude. There are also "do not touch" signs everywhere, which makes it really hard for kids to engage with the products. At one point, my son accidentally dropped a bath bomb we were planning to purchase. I immediately informed management that we intended to purchase it, and we did. In response, the manager told me I needed to help my children get things off the shelf--implying that the accident could've been avoided if I had intervened. I understand wanting to keep displays in good condition, but this just made the experience feel even more unwelcoming and tense. It's especially frustrating because this shop is just a few minutes from my home. But honestly? I'd rather make the hour-long drive to Lush. There, the staff are kind, engaged, and actually enjoy interacting with kids. They make the experience fun and inclusive, which makes all the difference. I really enjoy the products, which makes it all the more disappointing that the customer service doesn't match the same quality. Maybe I'll try visiting a different location and hope that experience is much better. This store has potential--but the customer service needs serious improvement. Until that happens, we won't be back. Ex: The owners response and tone to my honest review is not only condescending it's emotionally charged, retaliatory, and disproportionate. I'm disappointed but not surprised by the continued defensiveness from the owner of Magnolia Soap and Bath Co. After leaving an honest and respectful review based on my experience as a paying customer, I received a direct response that was not only accusatory but also personally targeted--naming me and criticizing my children in a way that felt retaliatory and unnecessary. Rather than acknowledge or address my concerns with any professionalism, the owner has now doubled down, claiming their response is "valid." This only reinforces my belief that respectful customer feedback is not welcome here, and that public shaming is being used as a tool to silence criticism. For any families considering visiting this location: I encourage you to read both the original review and the owner's responses carefully. Customer service should be grounded in professionalism, empathy, and accountability--not personal attacks. I stand by my review, and I hope this business reflects more carefully in the future on how it responds to customer experiences.

It's a lovely little store full of homemade skincare products such as soaps, moisturizers, body scrubs, bath bombs and lip balms. I'm yet to try their soap, but some of their products smell heavenly! I tried their tinted lip balm and I was surprised by how it felt on my lips at first, but appreciated its moisturizing power! I would go back to try more products!

I ended up making an appointment at 11:30am today. I got in at 11:34am & 2 Benefit clerks were busy. Brianna was doing one person's brows. The other was helping a customer w/products. I sat & waited until a male employee asked if I needed help. He told me he'd ask someone to check me in & a female employee with an orange apron said she would. I sat by the Benefit area until Brianna was finished with her client at 11:44am. I told her what I came in for & she proceeded to make me up & make suggestions. When she suggested where I could wax, I asked if she could do it and she said she couldn't because she had a client who she acknowledged a minute ago & had passed by. Brianna said "Hi Chloe(?)! Do you need your eyebrows waxed?" She said "Yeah!" So Chloe or whatever her name was just passing by & not on the books. Brianna gave her priority over me wanting to have my eyebrows waxed even though they were late with my appointment!!! Never did she say she was doing my hair different or making the braids smaller.... but after she had finished she asked if I liked it and I told her it did not look like the picture I sent her and she continued to ask to see while doing my hair.... she then stated she does not include curly hair in braiding... this was not told to me before this moment... she said she could add curly hair and I wish I had said NO as I looked a fool with strains of curly hair coming out of my braids. She took pictures of my hair and posted them online and after a night of sleep and dismay that I was traveling out of town looking a mess I sent her a text asking her to remove the pictures and I hated my hair only to be told I was old enough to have more tact and grace as well as the pictures served there purpose.... I wished she was professional enough to tell me she was not capable of providing the style requested... over 3 hours for 10 ugly braids!
