Bar manager walked by our table and said, "I'm not listening to this song", and went and skipped the song playing on the Touch Tunes and all the others behind it. The manager had no idea who selected the song, but it was selected by our party, "Proud to be an American". This was not a replay, replay, etc. situation. When confronted about the fact that she eliminated the entire song list, she made a bunch of BS excuses with no offer of remedy. Really awesome restaurant at Top of the Rock! The views and the food make this restaurant really something special. The views with the sunset ceremony are really something special. Then the meal with the view makes for a great meal. Everything was really good. The highlights from the meal was the elk soup, the house salad with the Nutella-bacon vinaigrette, and the filet. The elk sausage in the soup was really filling and a great amount of flavor in it. The house salad was very unique and delicious with the Nutella-bacon vinaigrette in it. The savory sweet combo was perfect and I would highly recommend trying it out. Then dry aged filet was cooked perfectly and packed with flavor. read more

First time that I have came to this restaurant and frankly up to this point I am not impressed at all and I haven't even set down at my table! Over an hour wait so far with at least 7 open tables. When I walked up to ask about our wait time the hostess just said we were early to the time that she told us the table would be ready while tables were clearly ready to have people sit down. Decided to give this place a try since almost all other restaurants were booked during my stay . Getting to the restaurant is kind of annoying since you have to pay to get into the park (but you are given a coupon toward that same amount) and then on top of that, you are forced to take shuttles everywhere since you can't walk. Good thing they are frequent... Anyway, the restaurant wasn't bad. Has a pretty good view overlooking much of that area. Also has some good sculptures around there for photos. The service wasn't bad being it was during COVID. Lastly, I ordered the elk soup and the Caesar salad. Can't really mess that up but both were good. Other than that, can't really complain! Amazing views from the patio and tables near the window. Had the filet with crispy potatoes and carrots. Filet was good, crispy potatoes were very good. Caesar salad was pretty bland. We got up and left after sitting for 30 minutes without being acknowledged. They were not particularly busy as the waiter/waitresses were walking past us and preparing other tables near us. Menu was expensive, but couldn't say anything about the food since we did not stay any longer. Let me start off by saying we frequent here about 10 times a year. We love this place but the food not so much. If it wasn't for the beautiful scenery I would give 1 star. Doggonit....why do I keep trying this place?!? The view? Yes, it is stunning. The decor? Yes again, the place is incredible. The museum? Yes! Phenomenal!! I cannot remember when I have seen a Native American and early American display that honors both so thoroughly and beautifully. The food? The food? Nope. Everything is way overpriced. Ceasar salad $13. Small and stale. Dressing from a bottle, or at least tasted like is. Croutons were stale. Add grilled Shrimp. Add another $21 for (3) overdone, rubber, luke-cold shrimp. Everything else we ordered was ridiculously priced. $75 for a bone-in strip steak? Really? I was so glad I didn't order a $60+ entree with a salad. I would have been livid because we waited literally 54 minutes for our dinner. I am so tired of suggesting Top of the Rock Buffalo Bar or Osage Grill and being disappointed and being the goat. We arrived at 6 pm on a Thursday and were told they were booked up for the night. Since they don't take reservations, that meant their entire waiting list was so long they wouldn't add us. Mind you we saw 40 open tables. This felt like a joke, make it to the top of the rock, pay $10 to get into the park, take the shuttle. Then you can't even eat or sit anywhere. Even though there are 40 open tables. And that's arriving at 6pm!! We stayed for the sunset ceremony, and starved until we could find something off site to eat. This experience was ruined because they didn't have enough staff to sit the entire restaurant. It's a poor setup and I will recommend it to no one and I will not be back! read more

Came here for a nice lunch and some golf. The golf was great but I asked for a salad and got about 8 leaves. To further this, the grilled chicken that I ordered as a topper was nothing but a chicken wing and was the same price as the salad! $10 for the whole salad and $10 for the chicken topper! The only thing this restaurant has going for it was its service. Wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone I cared about. Food is way overpriced for the portions and taste. This place has amazing views. It's truly stunning. The service, however, was a different story. I get they are busy, but our experience was terrible. Our waitress went missing after taking our order. It took forever to get cocktails, a steak that we ordered medium rare came back well done. Our glasses were empty, no one cleared plates. Top of the Rock is a beautiful place and the view from the patio at the Buffalo Bar is fabulous. We spent $100 for a light dinner for four and it was a big disappointment. The server seemed to not really know what he was doing as I had to ask for plates, napkins and silverware after the food arrived multiple times. The Cesar salad, Margherita pizza, Mexican pizza, and kids quesadilla were all just subpar for the price.
