Everything we ordered was fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. Generous portions, bold tastes, and that perfect "I need to come back and try more" quality. We left completely satisfied and already planning our next visit just so we can work our way through more of the menu. But the real star of the night was our server, Rachel. She was outstanding -- friendly, attentive, and genuinely fun. She checked on us at just the right times, made great recommendations, and somehow made the whole experience feel personal instead of just another table. You can tell she actually cares about her guests having a great time. Servers like Rachel are rare, and she completely elevated the whole night. This was a pretty good place to visit before going out on the lake. We stopped in right around 1130am and it was not busy yet so we were seated quickly. Interior is pretty open and very clean with a separate area for bar goers behind a 3/4 height wall. Pretty nice views if you sit outside. The food was excellent and i loved the crunch of those fries. Didn't say beer battered but sure tasted great. For the burger the patty was thin enough you could get a double and not be too stuffed. I didn't want to risk it without having eaten here before and then boating for hours! Another patron @ our table got the bacpn wrapped meatloaf but it does not come with gravy for the masked potatoes so dont be surprised by that! Overall pretty good food for the price. read more

Big Buoy's was such a hit! I ordered the Gouda Mac n' Cheese with Hot Honey Chicken and it was honestly one of the best macs I've had in years: creamy, flavorful, and perfectly balanced with that sweet heat. My husband had the Trawler Smash Burger and loved it too. Portions were generous, service was friendly, and everything came out hot and fresh. This place is definitely worth the stop. Are here a couple times and was not impressed. The first time we couldn't get ahold of anyone by phone so we had to show up to order. Second time food was cold and burned, it was packed in a way we couldn't see it when we took it to go. It was like they knew it was burned and was trying to hide it. What a great place in the lake to stop for lunch! We came here after finding them online, and I will be sure to be back! It may even be my new go-to lake lunch. They have a relatively good variety of food, all of which was delicious (I personally tried the fish and brisket tacos, fried pickles, fries, and slaw. I'd absolutely go for the fish tacos again). They also have a good drink menu. I'm addition to some of the better lake food I've had, the service was fantastic. Although very understaffed, the food came out pretty quickly and our server (normally the bartender) was very attentive. Finally, they have TVs and a big ping pong table outdoors if you don't need the AC inside. I can't wait to come back! read more

The outside is exactly what we need at Tablerock- nice bar overlooking the lake, game area, lots of seating, place for live music! Preface: Visitors/Tourists should be aware when looking at reviews of local business such as this. Many reviews, MANY, are left by friends and family when businesses like Big Buoy's under perform. Here is an honest review without ties to the business: I used to frequent this place over the years as my home is less than a mile away. Over the last few years, Big Buoy's has completely downhill. The food quality is severely lacking. It seems like they are using very cheap ingredients, and the taste of the product reflects that. Fried foods are made in very old oil and poultry and pork dishes are undercooked. Additionally, the cocktails are also suffering. I've seen bartenders watering down drinks (actually adding water to drinks like vodka and coke when water is not an ingredient. They are also known to put cheap liquor into top shelf bottles and passing it off while charging premium prices (this comes directly from a bartender who is still employed). I have seen so many fights break out at the outdoor area. This place is NOT a family friendly place, unless throwing beer bottles during physical fights is family friendly. The staff and owners to nothing to curb any of these downfalls. They are rude, defensive, and overall inept. There have been many great restaurant/bars at this location over the years, but this isn't one of them. If I could leave zero stars, I would. *As someone who has visited Branson for almost 40 years, I can assure you that positive reviews for such an incredibly terrible place are driven by friends and family. I've eaten here twice and both times the food was amazing. The Cowboy Tacos and the Horsey Tacos are outrageously good. Service can be a bit iffy, it all depends on who you get our waitress was top notch and very attentive. The table next to us had a different waiter. He sloshed a drink on the table and the customers arm and walked away without cleaning it up or even apologizing. The restaurant is not bad but if you sit in the bar be prepared with earplugs as the live music is atrociously loud. We did not anticipate the walk up hill it took from their complimentary boat slips. Wish the restaurant was a little easier to get to from the water. Service was ok. Yum! We have a vacation rental in Kimberling City, and we visited Big Buoy's while we were getting our house ready. The bedrooms in our house have buoys hanging at the entrances, so we thought it would be fun to go to a restaurant with the same title theme. The service was great, and the food was excellent! Service is always accommodating and friendly. If heading there for lunch, be cognizant of seating placement on the inside. If you're hot blooded you'll enjoy sitting by a vent.
